helinues: Rivers politicians should move on from the LG election abeg
Whether Wike is right/wrong or Fubara is right/wrong is not what I am concerned about in Rivers state.
My own issue in particular is with Gov Fubara, to those who have been defending him, when last have you seen Sim commissioning any projects in Rivers state? Please be sincere
At least, the Wike that's he has been claiming of distracting him in the state has been seen severally visiting different project sites in FCT without claiming of being distracted by anyone while promising more. Go to Rivers and find out. Can you also tell us what the governor of your state has done? |

I think He should also tell us what the governor of his state is doing or has done to better the state, that is if he doesn’t claim he’s from Lagos. |

Kay17: I hope you understand that propping up your currency is a form of subsidy. You spend FX in sufficient mass to direct the price of FX towards the direction you wish. If you spend good money on that, it also means there is an opportunity cost in spending on power, education, health, digitization, etc. The problem is these guys don’t spend money on health, education etc as you mentioned. They still go ahead to loot whatever gains they made. So why punish the people on multiple fronts? |

How on earth you got the intel they were recruiting some youths to disrupt, loot and burn some local government headquarters. Police is on their side. You kept quiet. Why can’t you recruit your own boys?
This Fubara of a guy is a weakling.
I will withdraw my support for him. NB : l came out and voted for APP candidate in the last Saturday’s Local Govt election in Rivers State. Read what you typed to your ears and see if there’s any sense in it. |

ChiefJusticeFuc: Thread is filled with bitter Ndi IPOB clowns who are pained beyond comfort over Reno meeting Tinubu .
Wike isn't left out.
They are seeing a major political realignment between SS and SW and this is very painful for the land grabbers.
They are here lamenting but just wait and see how they will try and repeat the game plan Tinubu used in 2015 with their fraud Obi gravitating to the Muslim north.
Obi will not be abusing the pulpit in 2027 rather he will be visiting mosques .
Mumufied idiats. SS and SW alignment is a facade. SS naturally aligns with SE because they have almost same ideology. They don’t do politicians worship or godfather worship as much as it is practiced in the SW. Don’t bother yourself thinking the SS will align with SW in any election cycle. If there’s anything we learn from history is that history always repeats itself. The same SS that Tinubu and some SW humiliated their son while he was president to usher in Buhari just because one man thinks he should be next in line after Buhari is who you’re now trying to cajole into alignment? You may think because some few politicians from the SS are giving assurances that an alignment is possible, but trust me history has shown that politicians from SS and SE have little influence on voters. |

Oga fix streetlights on Lagos highways. We no dey see any work u dey do. The bridge constructed at Second rainbow that’s supposed to link Orile/Alaba to Amuwo Odofin is still closed despite been completed.
You guys closed both sides of the main lane at Mile 2 causing hectic traffic day and night all because you want to repair less than 2km portion of the road. It’s already taking over one month and construction is not completed yet.
All these won’t benefit the people in anyway but that’s what you lots prioritize. |

goslowgoslow: So you don't even know the content of your own comment? Did you not mention that there are so many trucks moving at night without rear lights? SMH..! I know what I wrote. You should ask for explanations if you don’t understand. Or couldn’t comprehend. What I meant by “Trucks without rear lights or reflectors” isn’t blaming the state government for those. I imply the more reasons we need street lights is so we can see these vehicles that do not have taillights or reflectors early enough so we don’t run into them. With street lights, the range of visibility for vehicles at night is much better and improved than the vehicle relying solely on its headlights that have limited range. I did not blame the state government for vehicles without lights. |

goslowgoslow: This is the problem with Nigerians we direct every problem to the governor whereas there are agencies or departments assigned to do some of these things. What is the function of VIO? What is the function of maintenance department of that different LGA or LCDA that cover those places? What concerns VIO and streetlights on highways? Highways are state roads and are the responsibility of the state government to install lights on them. During Ambode and Fashola regime, many highways had lighting. Same can’t be said about the current regime. |

Now he wants to enter a community not in the approved plan and you expect people to keep quiet?. What manner of man will go about doing such?. Landmark’s building wasn’t disturbing the oceanfront. It was Landmark beach resort that was built on the ocean front belonging to the government. It would have been an injustice to destroy the landmark building as it caused no problems because it was never situated on government land. Properties that were demolished all sat in the beachfront belonging to the government. It’s not a tribal issue as you’re trying to paint it. |

flokii: They should call Umahi to order.. If Igbo properties are encroaching on the coastal roads, then those propeties should be demolished because nobody asked them to acquire lands in mapped out areas in the first instance. He can't be trespassing on other people's lands because he wants to save his Igbo people propeeties that are on the right of way of the coastal highway. That's complete illegality that must not be tolerated.
Yorubas must wake up and stop the destruction of Yoruba properties on Yoruba soil while the Igbo Minister of Works continue to sabotage Government's project to favour his Igbo people. Governor Sanwo Olu should not sit down idle in Alausa and allow Umahi cause Yorubas to revolt in Lagos. Enough is enough. Who send you? Is Umahi not your Lord’s appointee? You guys said the government has right to revoke or take any land that they want so what’s the issue on taking a few lands to make the “super coastal highway” that will bring economic prosperity and growth to Nigeria as you all claimed. As a government, the bank can give you such money. All you need is to tie the funds to a project that will be executed by a company or companies. Also it’s not done in one tranche, it accumulates over time. Remember every state government get federal allocations and also they take loans.
Storing the money is pretty easy, they just convert a large sum to foreign currencies, also it’s done over a period of time. The rest of the cash maybe invested in real estate which they can in turn sell in the future to get back the cash equivalent. |
