He didn’t get the Northern votes because APC is a mega party. He got the northern votes because of the likes of El Rufai that vouched for him.

Tinubu I think isn't only afraid of Peter obi but working endlessly to contain and sabotage him.

Tinubu is not afraid of them individually. What he fears is a coalition between Atiku and Obi.

He has successfully achieved that coalition not happening that’s why the attacks on both Atiku Obi and ADC have subsided for now.

It is not a given that once you have a spending problem you can't also have a revenue problem but how you spend your money is generally determined by where you got the money from so source of money should be solved first before wastage can be curbed. If all neighboring countries have more government revenue per Capita than Nigeria then Nigeria is lagging behind in revenue generation or in government revenue and that is a revenue problem. If all developed countries have government revenue to GDP higher than Nigeria then that is obviously a revenue problem and you shouldn't debate that

Nigeria’s major issue is not revenue problems. I still stand by that.

We generate enough money from oil exports, import tariffs, and other tariffs and taxes.

A large portion of those money are laundered through highly inflated projects they nicknamed “legacy project”

If they channel a large portion of those funds into ensuring stable electricity and quality education, the economy will pick up, businesses will flourish, more will be employed and then you can tax more.

This method of taxing first then enjoy later isn’t working. They’ve been doing the same thing in Lagos for over 2 decades and what have they got to show for it?

Tinubu spent over 100bn naira to purchase aircraft for himself and budget less than 50bn naira for student loans.

Seriake Dickson is merely using Peter Obi's political popularity to shore up his image in preparation for running as a VP to Kwankwaso in 2031. They are not serious at winning the presidency in 2027, otherwise, he wouldn't be fighting the support base of the NDC, which was largely unknown. Apparently, Obi and his Obidients didn't do their homework before entering a one chance vehicle called NDC. Henry Seriake Dickson is half Yoruba and half Ijaw. I don't see him antagonising his brother
I have the believe that even Kwankwaso is going to ditch Obi invariably. He always avoid public function with him and anytime they appear together, Obi looks more like his boy than being the main candidate.

A Kwankwaso/Dickson ticket from NDC can’t defeat APC if Tinubu wins a second term.

Should APC win next year, be rest assured that RMK chances of becoming president in 2031 are much slimmer than El Rufai if ADC fields him.

I knew how desperate Obi was when he agreed to do only one term. How can you negotiate such conditions for a region that has never produced the presidency and expect to be trusted? If Obi had remained in the ADC and aligned his region with the North, he would have gotten the opportunity to inherit Atiku’s Northern bloc, a huge segment of Buhari’s bloc, as well as his Southeastern bloc. That would have made him unstoppable. He fears he would lose his base in the Middlebelt but that base is already gone to Tinubu, regardless.

Clearly, some Southeastern politicians like Abaribe and Ihedioha were thinking along that line but Obi threw them all under the bus. That's why none of them followed Obi on his wild goose chase to the NDC. The crop of Southeastern leaders that would not be supporting Obi come 2027 are only doing so because they want to stand the chance of becoming Vice in 2031 and use that as a launchpad for the presidency.

The man is just not smart politically.

Amaechi stands a higher chance of being president than Obi.

He pushed too far with his perceived popularity and votes from the last election. Also allowed his fanbase to over push him.

Peter Obi shot himself in the legs when he left ADC for NDC just because some people started trending OK movement.

ADC you joined since last year and majority of the party stakeholders were tilting towards party primaries but he wanted it zoned to the South.

Had he stayed back and contested the primaries he would have given others a run for their money. He may not win it but he would perform decently due to his Obidient base.

Man isn’t good at calculations at all. Kwankwaso that said he couldn’t deputize you in 2023 suddenly accepted to deputize you now and you didn’t put calculations together to understand what could be Kwankwaso’s motive and projections.

ADC is still the best option for him and he should have remained there. Nigerians were ready to vote that party regardless of what INEC does.

It’s good to be very calculating and project into the future and also learn from what worked for others.

Tinubu stooped to conquer by putting Buhari forward in 2015 and waited 8 years to use that “I helped you” to force Buhari hands in 2023.

Obi should have just agreed to deputize Atiku and become the VP. The VP still handles economy according to the constitution and I’m positive Obi will do well in that sector and that will motivate people to want him to be president after Atiku.

He just threw it all away and I’m pained. APC are seeing themselves winning this election now as it stands.
