Now, if two people co-own a property, is it proper for one of those persons to declare the co-owned property as his asset when he hasn't taken sole ownership of such property? Did he declare the property in his Asset declaration form? Again, it is irrelevant whether he has held a public office or not. If he wants to become president, he should declare the source of his income. Nigerians want to know where he got the money to buy the house. It could be proceed from Money Laundering so transparency at this point is very important. If there is nothing fishy, he would have declared the property and not lied on oath about it.
