So Ehailing drivers are now being targeted by scammers.
I got a request around Wuse, the rider sent me a message that he wanted me to pickup 5 bottles of Hennessy from the supposed manager of the village chief restaurant and bar. He also asked that I help him give the manager 5k and that he would refund me the 5k plus the 3,500 for the trip=12,000 (I don’t know the maths that he did that he used to arrive at 12k, he was probably trying to prey on my greed)

He forwarded me the “managers” number and I called him when I got there. When I mentioned coming to collect the drinks for the “Army man” that booked me, he acknowledged and said he wasn’t on ground but that he will call his staff to bring the drinks for me. He now brought up the 5k that the “army man” was supposed to give him, I told him that I was aware and that I was going to transfer the money for him. He told me to send him a message on WhatsApp so he could forward his account number, I have our conversation attached below.

This has been in existence since in Lagos. Only greedy drivers fall for this format...

ksmart027:
The basic is 27 minutes away, so it's route compensated ride.

And the comfort that is 20mins away, why is it way cheaper compared to basic that has lower model cars.

capetownboyz:
Hello I’m hitting the road soon as a Uber driver as a means to offset one’s current bill and economic recession..I will be driving from Ikeja .. pls if you got any advice for me to aid my confidence in this job pls do share ..have read through the group chats for a while now and I’m quite encouraged by you guys resilience in this business ..I pray the road will be good with me cause normally I get tired easily driving on Lagos road and I’m not too conversant with the Lagos road except heading to few high brow area but I guess google map will be my partner for a while until I get used to this roads ..I hope this job is exciting and most especially encouraging financially, I guess I will find out by myself..

Once you start it, never ignore your instincts, our minds is programmed to sense dangers but we sometimes ignore it.

Can someone give me a logical explanation to why cars that are placed on basic is more expensive than other categories and even comfort.

dru23:
If you dey use original Mobil 1 USA , the oil no supposed black that fast. Unless the engine has a sludge problem....

When using high mileage engine oil , it also cleans out the engine, due to the extra cleaning additives. After a few try it should be back to normal...

This should be only applicable to a car that's still less than 100,000 in odometer and not cars that engine have done above 100,000 in odometer.

They are playing with fire.
Seems they want chaos to break out all over the nation

tobby98:
Get it from reputable Mobil filling stations on major highways/roads like the one at Ahmadu Bello Way, Awolowo Way, the one on Ozumba Mbadiwe and Ikeja. Those Mobil stations inside close, streets and off roads mostly sell fake oil/palm oil...Just like for MRS, all are selling for the price of 739, but not all have complete meters, the ones with complete meters are only but a few like the one on Ahmadu Bello Way is very complete, one on that Festac Access road, the one on the road to Ojota to mention but a few. This observation is as a result of experience and experiments.

How sure are you with this information cox I know dangote delivers fuel directly to all MRS filling station across the nation and for the Mobil, I doubt if any Mobil both the one outside and inside can sell fake oil cox they get supplied directly from HQ and I don't think Mobil sell franchise without regulating their operations.

That bird is expensive in market

PeaceMaker24:
Please I use a 2010 Corolla and use Mobile 1 5W-30 oil.
My issue is getting a genuine mobile 1 plug cos it seems what am using isnt original as oil turns dark after 2,500 miles and I get to use it to 5k miles before servicing .

I am already considering changing to Fastron synthetic 5W-30 .
Pls is there a special way to know the high mileage mobile 1?
I use the car for ehailing

2500miles is about 4000km and you don't expect the oil to be black after that usage?

If you're going towards 7up or 3mb from berger, avoid taking express, enter agidingbi and pass through mobolaji Johnson avenue to burst out in front..

Serious accident before 7up

TUBLEZ:
wow since morning e never clear , had thr is an accident on Otedola bridge one confirmed dead

I don't think it's otedola, I think it's kara bridge.

Don't come near anywhere on mainland, traffic from kara to third mainland bridge and it has affected everywhere on the mainland.

Very mad traffic.

Is this business really profitable? My brother want to get a Nigeria used Corolla cost about 4.5m for me can 1 pay back his money in 2 years? His not adding any profit just the money he spend in getting the car for me. I'm currently doing a driving job of 120k monthly with no off day so I actually work Monday to Sunday with a Lebanese man, he gives me off anytime he likes. Pls I really need advice because I'm planning to resign from the job next month ending should I take the car? Or continue my work. I'm a very hard working person I just want to know if I will meet up with his payment consider that I also have family to feed if I take the car, pls advise is need I can also bear any kind of insult thank you all

With determination and dedication, you can pay back the whole 4.5m in 12month and still have reasonable savings

Echika01:
Good afternoon guys!!!! I hope everyone everyone is having a nice time in this January holiday after hustling well on December!! Quick one guys please has anyone encountered this and how did it get solved? I noticed my gearbox oil keeps leaking in Camry 2010 venza Engine, I've changed the oil seal like 2 times yet it still leaks, mechanic told me the gearbox mouth is widen that I'll need to change the cover, please if you've experienced this how did you solve it?

Check the flywheel in between engine and gear also, try to trace those pipes connected to the gear for possible leakage.

Can I pay 120k?

morikee:
I know you will be the first to spew nonsense

My Area is under Band A and paying premium but i don't know the last time we had more than 10 hrs of supply

That's obviously not band A if you're not enjoying at least 18hours a day.
I'm also under Band A and we sometimes use over 20hours a day. My concern is how expensive the electricity is, it's becoming unbearable.

Imagine spending 80k on electricity monthly with just AC and washing machine, now add other appliances to it and someone will be spending roughly 150k monthly on electricity. Pls how much am I earning.

Nairamotive:
Indrive response to the increased commission and Tax query
Does it mean drivers wont be taxed by the government again? It's just like how employers remove tax from employees salary

Does that mean after indrive and bolt charges WHT directly on behalf of government, will government still tax PIT from money that goes into our accounts?

Obedibombedi:
If you couldn't save much this year, learn from your mistakes and work smarter next year.

It's an honest hustle that will continue to pay.

Peace .

This dude has messed up my AC system. The compressor is now permanently engaged when the car on is on even though AC is off.

He wants to put a thermostat which makes me wonder what correlation they have.

The technician is right if your AC isn’t cutting, probably the follow come thermostat has spoilt and you will need external thermostat to make the compressor work normally

Dabadwela:
Nothing really concern thermostat with compressor.

Be like say the guy nor sabi Civic cars. Apologies for the referral

Do you know about cars at all coz AC has its own thermostat that cuts the AC and makes it cold inside
