What Nigeria and Nigerians need at the moment is an economist and a social strategist, our major problems being poverty and insecurity but judging from his speeches and assertions, Tinubu is most concerned with being President and his “lo kan” other than actually solving Nigeria’s issues.

The current tribal divide in Nigeria is escalating astronomically with each passing day, with a certain zone, ethnicity and religion dominating major political offices leaving the other side marginalized and underrepresented

The fact that Tinubu picked a Northern and a Muslim running mate in the status quo, just to appeal to the overpopulated North and get bloc votes shows how selfish and insensitive the man is, he is expanding the already existing gap of tribalism and division in Nigeria. Even if he wins, Nigeria will only get worse.

What is novel about him picking a fellow Muslim? Did Awolowo not pick a fellow Southerner and Christian, Umeadi as his running mate years back? Grow up my friend….why should anyone care how you worship your Creator?
Were you not told to worship in spirit and in truth? ….and also told to go into a secret, quiet place if you truly wish to commune with your Creator and expect your prayers to be heard? So, what is all this sing-song about bringing people’s faith into politic matters?
He is obviously on a higher spiritual level than most of you crooners if he could live peacefully with a Christian wife for over 40 years!
Furthermore, we should learn to give unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s, and unto the Lord that which is His. Therefore we should keep politics strictly within the bounds of our intellectual constructs and refrain from linking it with the Activity of the Almighty Creator which is actually demeaning unto Him and He sees through all our earthly machinations!!

If I am Tinubu, I won’t respond officially to Babachir Lawal, just let time sort things out, let him calm down, and then reach out to him to settle amicably.

Babachir Lawal is a totally unreliable fellow. He was also the first person to openly condemn Tinubu (who he claimed to be his friend) after the Ogun State speech when Tinubu had spoken about how he helped Buhari in his ascendancy. Hwvr, Shettima, constant as the northern star, came to Tinubu’s defence that he was merely speaking the truth which is well known to most people.
Trust and Loyalty are key ingredients for a successful relationship or working-together…..no one needs a friend like Babachir Lawal. undecided

If what you have written about a drug-related settlement is true, may your Creator bless you and your efforts to expose same.

Let the following guide you before jumping to conclusions:

The only set of people who think there is any kind of smoking gun with which to nail Bola Tinubu in the rehash of the old wives’ tales David Hundeyin concocted are the same people who never see anything good in Tinubu.

It needs to be asked how anyone could think the FBI and DEA will allow a drug dealer or a man running a drug cartel to go scot-free without conviction as well as leave him to go and live a lush life on the proceeds of crime. We are talking about the same man who goes in and out of the US and Europe since 1992. He actually resided in the US all through the exilic period induced by the late dictator, Sani Abacha.

Asiwaju Tinubu had gone to deliver lectures at top policy think-tank institutes like Chatham House, Woodrow Centre, Council on Foreign Relations, etc, in the US, UK and around Europe. He just returned from a two-week official visit to France. Yet, he was not a subject of interest for the FBI, Interpol and DEA all through.

We know the kind of efforts the FBI invests to get extradition of those on their wanted list for crimes. They spared no effort to get late Senator Buruji Kashamu for drug crime purportedly committed in the 90s. Former Vice President Atiku that was indicted in a corruption case in the US could not visit the country until a special arrangement was brokered for him before the 2019 general election. And since then, Atiku has not gone to the US again.

Tinubu has been travelling in and out of these countries and US unhindered, but someone wants us to accept that retailing the same old stories is a product of investigative reporting?

Here are three key issues of commonsense and rational thinking.

1. The US will not settle any case of drug and other narcotics dealings with money where a prima facie case is established against a drug baron.

2. The US government will never allow a drug dealer to go with any amount from proceeds of crime.

3. A man that has not been convicted of any crime in any country and jurisdiction of the world cannot be convicted by a disgruntled ‘investigative journalist’. If the US allowed Tinubu to go free without conviction of any drug crime and other crimes, it means the FBI and DEA and, indeed, all law enforcement agencies including IRS had no evidence upon which Tinubu can be found guilty.

Hundeyin knows his audience and how excitable and unquestioning they can be. With his misdirected crap on Tinubu, the ‘investigative journalist’ has again served his unthinking audience their regular opium.

I’m beginning to wonder how old you might be. Is this the first time you’re hearing all these laughable allegations. He had even taken AIT to Court for airing similar concocted stories and sued them for N20 billion whereby the newspaper management had to do a retraction and pleaded for his forgiveness. This is a seasonal thing and we’re right in the middle of the season for it.
Well, you cannot plead ignorance when you judge people….that’s why a mature person should always exercise caution.
One can understand the young ones acting out of youthful exuberance but not for people who claim to be ‘mature’ adults and wish to be taken seriously!

When Tinubu took over the government of Lagos State at the end of May 1999, Lagos State public school teachers were on strike and had refused to resume for 3rd term for that academic year by April under the Marwa regime.

Tinubu did his magic and by end of June 1999, the teachers resumed and I personally resumed 3rd term just 2weeks to when my siblings at FG Unity Colleges were to return home for their end of session summer holiday.

Tinubu is an administrative wizard. He is an action politician who is ready to deliver unlike those who are just receiving training in Egypt.

My support for Tinubu stems from personal experiences of his actions as Governor that affected me positively and my knowledge of his many initiatives that I didn't even benefit from but was available to others.

I am a Christian and I will vote a Muslim - Muslim ticket that has a Tinubu as the principal.
