Politics / Re: 80% Of Northern Children Are Ignorant-- Gov Amaechi by ShipIt(m): 10:50am On Sep 19, 2011
This is one dumba** governor, Given his status he should not be speaking so carelessly, The illiteracy rate in the north is high but it is not up to 80% and he should not be spewing nonsense like that, Anyway, Fok anyone who disagrees with me,
Politics / Re: Sanusi For President In 2015? by ShipIt(m): 6:56pm On Sep 18, 2011
I think Sanusi has the right educational background, experience, and determined will to turn things around as a Nigerian president, He is also in the right age group, because these old farts we have don't have the acumen to lead in the 21st century. With that being said, he will have to make sone adjustment to his image but he will definitely be a welcomed change and he won't sell Nigeria to the world bank, Imf, and other foreign cronies

Its high time we put Nigeria satellite to work. Since there is curfew already in Jos the satellite should be able to monitor movement of people in the region. The security agents must explore this avenue. May almighty God bless Nigeria.

Is this guy serious? Fok you too

Politics / Re: Electricity Tariff To Rise By Over 50%? by ShipIt(m): 4:23am On Sep 14, 2011
This seems like a pathetic attempt at blackmailing the government to deregulize the power sector, I don't see how raising prices on something that doesn't work is supposed to make it work better,
Politics / Re: Nigeria Will Never Break Up - GEJ by ShipIt(m): 4:03am On Sep 14, 2011
What you guys are proposing sounds a lot like the Former Yugoslavia after Marshall Tito, Anyone who knows their history should see what a volatile idea that is,

Nigeria will never develop with Muslims and islam inside Nigeria!!! I don't care if you give Nigeria all the Money in the world, those i diots called muslims are too much of an animals to change to proper ways of life. They want to marry 10 wives even if he is just a farmer and they want Sharia to cut your head off for stealing a loaf of bread.
I ve promised myself not to be a bigot or partake in your sort of behaviour so I'm just going to say check yourself before you say something you don't really mean
Politics / Re: Seriously Can Nigeria Be Developed In 18 Months? by ShipIt(m): 2:59am On Sep 13, 2011
You still don't get it do you? How many times must they plan our power infrastructure. There are already plans on ground which have been around even before the Yar Adua administration, the problem has never been planning it but implementing it. Every new administration has "it's own plans" when they know perfectly well that they do not have the capability to see it through from conception to implementation in the time they have, yet they keep trying over and over again. It's insanity pure and simple, What I want you to understand is that plans already exist and what is required is ACTION. More planning indicates that we are repeating the process all over again. Why do they do this you ask? simple, MONEY! Get with the program man, you live in Nigeria not Belgium,
Politics / Re: Demonstration In Kano Over Isreal (Pictures) by ShipIt(m): 2:40am On Sep 13, 2011
Dont blame this on Northerners, Blame it on the idiots in Kano. I'm from the North and Even I think this is stupid,
A) If they want to protest why not protest against our defunct government
B) Is it only today they realized that the Israelis were occupying Palestine
C) What the hell do they think they're going to achieve

Plenty of proof and signs bro. I have been following the president and ministers who have been holding intense meetings over the last 2 months. Almost all the minsters have been making unprecedented visits to various sites in their ministries. one such visit led the minster of power to find out and change the non performing CE of the Olorunshogo power plant and the restoration of some of the plants functionality which has led to the addition of more power to the Lagos axis. Of course I know you dont follow these intense progress because you are a cynic and pessimist who only gets satisfaction in criticizing.
In other words, you ve been reading the newspaper. Meetings, seminars, forums, visit, state visits, technical visit, conference, etc, That's how all the public money is spent as opposed to actually funding the operations that are planned in all these gatherings. There is a difference between being pessimistic and being realistic. I being the latter am simply analyzing the situation on ground, you on the other hand are simply believing in heresay coupled with how you expect things to be, here's a shocker, you'd expectations are only setting you up for disappointment. You keep bringing up Lagos when were talking about a president responsible for 35 other states. He doesn't even deserve credit for Lagos coz that's Fasholas Gig. If GEJ was responsible, then the whole country would have power, Focus your arguments and you ll actually make more sense JDF,

So what proof do you have that nothing is being done. have you been visiting the ministries and supervising them to know they are doing nothing?
what proof do you have that something is being done. have you been visiting the ministries and supervising them to know they are doing something? I have empirical evidence to support my claim, That evidence is Nigeria's track record, What makes you think this time is going to be much different.

Posts like these really makes me sad. so you want them to send you a text message daily showing you their daily activities or what? Like the president said in the interview that some people are asking for what the SSS and others are doing. how can the SSS post their briefs of terrorist intelligence gathering to the public? Ignorance they say is a disease.

They tell you their plans and you say there is too much talk, no action. they dont say anything but are doing their job and you say they are silent. cynics are the worst kind of people in any society and they never contribute, they only criticize

Listen Mr Jonathan Defense Force, nothing is being done and you are too thick to see that, Look at your people differing on thx street, 70 percent unemployment and so much more, How many more plans do you need? Nigerian leaders are always planning till their time is up yet their plans always seem to be paid for with Nigerian peoples money,
Family / Re: What If You Discover Your Husband Is A Drop Out by ShipIt(m): 1:46am On Sep 13, 2011

Any laws passed recently?, (silence)

Any sacred cows put to the sword?, (even more silence).

Any major pending projects commissioned and completed ?, (the silence is getting irritating).

Any new major forward-looking policy changes in sports, (sound of the breeze)

In power, (still silence)

In mining, (silence).

Main output: Plans, communiques, retreats, strategy sessions, intentions, goals, aims, reasons, motives, anything but action.
Enough said, But just to add: 18 months is enough to start seeing changes but what positive changes have you noticed? Let me highlight a few negative ones
Security is getting worse

Power is being "sabotaged"

Foreign reserves are dropping

Domestic investigations are bring carried out by FOreign agencies

President needs Israeli bodyguards, not even Nigerian

The constitution was recently breached ( salami)

I can just go on like this for days bug what's the point.
The only magic in question is how GEJ is going to turn things around within the next four years,

Car Talk / Re: Do White Coloured Vehicles Cost Less?` by ShipIt(m): 7:43pm On Sep 12, 2011
White cars are usually cheaper, but not by much. Maybe by about $100 dollars or so. The reason is because every car has to be painted with a layer of white paint before other layers are added to give it its final color. So there is a cost saving in the price of the added layers if the car happens to be white.
Phones / Re: Pre-registered SIM Cards: Result Of Half-Baked Solutions by ShipIt(m): 7:35pm On Sep 12, 2011
Typical of Nigerian Security Services, Arrest the guy selling pre registered simcards to make a living while the guy doing the bombing and killing for no reason is allowed to run rampant
Politics / Re: My Overseas Trips In Osun’s Interest – Aregbesola by ShipIt(m): 7:32pm On Sep 12, 2011
I find it surprising that most Nigerian governors believe that the salvation and development of their state lies outside of Nigeria in the hand of Foreigners. All of Nigeria's problems are homegrown and thus can only be solved at home, not abroad or in China,

Politics / Re: FG Hunts Pro-gaddafi Fighters In Katsina And Kano by ShipIt(m): 5:10am On Sep 12, 2011
aloy/emeka:

I suspect they will team up with Boko Haram and form a strong guerrilla unit that will be very difficult for Nigeria to tackle. Gadaffi also can afford to finance them with his billions stashed away in gold besides, the North may accept them and use them as side support in case southerners grow tails one day. The North is obviously thinking that Boko Haram will become valuable to them someday.
Listen Genius, Even the North doesn't really know who this Boko Haram is, You probably know MEND better than Northerners know BH, Infact northerners know MEND better than they know BH, The more time passes the more this BH seems like some sort of Fabrication, Try to analyze what's going on for yourself instead of drinking the coo lade without questions
Politics / Re: FG Hunts Pro-gaddafi Fighters In Katsina And Kano by ShipIt(m): 5:06am On Sep 12, 2011
Have you ever been to Katsina? There is no way or where a foreigner can hide, Kano is a different story because of the high number of foreigners, particularly of middle eastern and north African descent. Sokoto is very possible coz I don't really know what goes on there.
Islam for Muslims / Re: "Bomb Blasts In Nigeria Ridiculing Islam" -Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky by ShipIt(m): 5:02am On Sep 12, 2011
I'm glad that for once a prominent muslim cleric has come out to condemn the violence that is perpetrated in the name of Islam. Despite his strong and aggressive allegations, he makes plenty of sense. If I were him, I'd neglect to call specific names until I had further proof but I respect him for speaking out all the same. He is so very right about other prominent Muslims who are keeping silent just to protect their worldly positions.
Romance / Re: Men,will You Allow Your Wife Work When You Earn 500k Per Mth? by ShipIt(m): 5:41pm On Sep 11, 2011
Your wife can work even if you earn a million naira a month, there is no such thing as too much income for the family. However it's all a matter of preference.

Politics / Re: Fg Rolls Out Plan For Rail Network Service by ShipIt(m): 2:53am On Sep 11, 2011
This is typical of our FG, trying to fly before learning to crawl. Talking about rail networks and intra city trains without even achieving a stable power grid. This is actually a very dangerous proposal that can lead to numerous accidents and deaths. What happens if the signals that guide these trains fail due to a lack of power?what of the train networks traffic control center, who will man it? Are they assured power without interruption? Is our communications infrastructure strong enough to support such a large operation? Will the Chinese company be held to high standards of workmanship or are they just gonna do it on the cheap? Who is going to maintain this rail network and how? I'm not just talking about putting s*** down on paper as usual but actually getting it done, Frankly I think the FG should rethink this plan and reorganize their priorities. Doing a project like this the "Nija Way" is a public Hazard of epic proportions
