Realtouchnot:
Thanks for the observations.
Well, that people can use the truth for selfish reasons doesn't mean it isn't the truth anymore. People also use the truth of God's word for selfish reasons, even in this generation. See 2Cor 2:17.

The article seeks to dispel cultural fallacies and myths that hold people in bondage.

Wait o! Do you mean to tell me that a girl knowing how parts of her body functions, is wrong. Sorry o, that's part of my responsibility. Some comments above show how people have lived in guilt and low self esteem as a result of the misconceptions about virginity and hymen. This piece has certainly set them free. See John 8:32
You said girls will refer their "bf" to my post, to prove they are virgins. My principles are against "bf" relationship. However, if it is in marriage, it a girl tells her husband she's a virgin, while in reality, she's not, then I don't think the marriage should stand. Marriage should never be built on lies.

Inasmuch as I strongly charge people both, males and females to remain virgins till marriage, the unnecessary attachment people like you place on virginity is what drive some ladies to lie about their virginity.

I think the fact your wife married you a "virgin" is not as strong as the understanding that is required to make a marriage work. You should have also asked your wife if is she was really a virgin, cos we know (you can also google it) that penetrative coitus is not the only form of sex. So in the real sense of the word, a girl with an intact hymen, may have had sex before.

About your wife bleeding on her "first" intercourse, it is said above that wrong technique could result in that. Moreover, some comments above bear testament to the fact, that bleeding on first intercourse is not as common as widely believed.

It is a well established fact that the hymen wears off with time. If you are really a Dr, then, you're to "tell the truth at all times".

The main reason for posting this was not for front page or whatever, but that the misconceptions may be made away with. Believe me, I lie not.

Bringing people to Heaven is not just by always posting "give your life to Christ". Someone who have lived in self doubt might be lifted after reading this.

Finally, the devil isn't using me, and I don't see how this post will discourage someone from living chaste. Please, also note that virginity is not for ladies alone, guys are also expected to marry as virgin. And even married people are to remain chaste. See Heb 13:4.This is because, the consequences of sexual immorality is for all.

Anyway, thanks for the comments. More objective criticisms are welcome!
Im impressed at this reply. Virginity till marriage is for everyone, guys, married persons not just girls. My goodness, Your argument is impeccable. God bless you

I wasnt 5-6 years, I was 19. In university, school of engineering. I was not asleep. I saw a huge man in the attire of the pharoahs. He was more gold than tan. In my room. The light from the electric bulb dimmed, and he appeared and he spoke briefly.
I was too scared to look up so I didnt see his face.
Next night I decided to sleep in my coursemate's house. I didnt want to believe what I just saw cos im not a fan of the supernatural.
You would not believe it was about 9 in the night, with all my friends there he walked in and spoke again. And no one saw him.
I wasnt really scared this time but I was quite upset that I had taken the time to move and he took the time to appear again

Rossike u need to be more civil in your responses.
While the situation may not have improved for some others it may have improved in your area. My area in portharcourt for example, the situation is worse. I cant tell if the issue is localized or not.
I dont think most of the complainants here are lying. A few might be exaggerating but they CANNOT all be lying.
Stop making personal insults and Allow people air their grievances.

I also love the prophetess and intercessor anna luke 2:36. She worshiped, fasted and prayed. She loved the Lord

I dont think op is talking about people literally taking the words as english. What op is trying to say is these words are so ingrained including our speech that even when we are not speaking pidgin we use them.
We use them even in corporate workplaces. We use them in school. Even when we travel out of the country sometimes u forget and use those words.
So much that foreigners easily pick these words off us.
Thats the message op is trying to pass across

creativeguru: Absolutely incredible!
Africans are superior race, smarter, resilient and thick-skinned. The whites know this and have exploited us via our greedy spots to ensure we are perpetually slaves... But Africa will rule the world in the very near future, before which, we must pass through very tough times.
I dont think so. The whites couldnt have exploited us without our own cooperation. We made ourselves slaves. Do u know more slaves were traded than kidnapped.
I dont see us ruling the world soon, our attitude has always been wicked and selfish, and so far there has been no change.
Africans have been selling their people to other races since ancient times, and our politicians and rulers are still selling us away

Horse. Swan. Snake. Dog. Bird. Elephant. Giraffe. Monkey. Cat.
The swan is under the horse's back legs. The dog is at the elephant's neck. The snake is at the elephant's tail. The giraffe is at the end of the elephant's trunk. The monkey is at the elephant's back leg.

There are five legs. The question is how many legs are there, not how many legs does an elephant have.

There are 2 complete beams. The others are incomplete and that doesnt make a beam.

Please for those who have found the 12 animals pls let us know what they are

THEIR MISTAKES (for want of a better name) by DEEDEE TIMMS

PROLOGUE

DORIS looked at her husband as he picked at his food and wondered for the umpteenth time what was wrong with him. Ever since he came back from the seminar he attended in Abuja three days ago, he had been acting weird. He was forever moody and never met her eyes whenever he answered her questions. She had asked a million times what the matter was but he had refused to tell her.

She didn't want to ponder much lest she give herself high blood pressure. In their two years of marriage, they'd lived in bliss until two months ago when things had suddenly become stilted between them for no just cause.

The demands on her tailoring business had increased at that time and she had barely had time for herself not to talk of her husband. Understanding though he was, he hadn't said a word of complain at her late nights coming home or taking off first thing in the morning but she had noticed him pulling away from her slowly. She had kept thinking work would lessen for him to have her all to himself but it had even increased.

Was he fed up? Was he tired of their marriage? Did he want a divorce? She couldn't allow that. She loved him with a passion and knew he felt the same about her. But what if he'd fallen out of love with her? She had to mentally shake herself from such thoughts.

She had come back home from her shop where she sewed and sold wedding accessories that evening to meet him still on his blue striped pajamas, he hadn't stepped his office since he got back from Abuja. She had coerced him into taking his bath while she prepared dinner. He was dressed now on his favorite brown chinos three quarter length shorts and white Levi's shirt with brown palm slippers.

She surveyed him steadily as he took a spoon of jollof rice and dropped it again on the cream ceramic plate.

"James, I really can't stand the suspense anymore. What's the matter with you?" she gently asked him and noticed he winced.

For an answer, he got up from the black metallic chair at the round glass dining table, pushed back the yellow linen curtain that separated the dining area from the living room and walked briskly into their small living room. She felt like throwing her plate of rice at him but controlled herself.

He sat down on their black leather sofa with pale yellow cushions, placed his elbows on his knees and held his head in his hands.

"Doris, I can't take this anymore." he finally responded in a broken voice.

Her interest was more than piqued then. She quickly wore her pink flip flops, left the table and went to sit beside him on the sofa.

"What is it, darling?" she calmly questioned him.

He got up and started pacing the cream tiles in the living room. He abruptly stopped before the rectangular glass centre table with a flower vase, looked up at the white ceiling before staring at her with pain in his eyes.

James didn't know how to tell her. Could he even tell her? He looked at the lines of strain around her black eyes and sighed. She had the darkest eye lashes he had ever seen on a woman and he had seen a lot, being a reformed player.

Whatever you do, don't tell her, James? Don't destroy what you've been building for two years. His brain told him but he shook his head. He had to tell her. The guilt was killing him.

Tell her, James. She loves you. She'll forgive you. His heart told him.

He made up his mind then to tell her. He spared her a glance before staring at the plasma television attached to the pale yellow wall which funny enough was showing a man and woman fighting in a Nollywood movie.

"You know I went for a seminar in Abuja," he pronounced with care.

"Yes," she prompted him to continue as she gazed at him with her heart in her throat.

"I......I......." He stammered and looked above the plasma at their white wedding engraved photograph.

"What is it? You what?" She prompted with eagerness.

This was getting scary. Her palms were getting wet from her nervousness. She wiped them on her short blue jean gown and stared at her husband who refused to look at her.

James stared at their wedding photograph and smiled in reminiscence. He stared at himself on a black tuxedo with peach long sleeve shirt and black bow tie smiling down at Doris on her self-made snow white wedding gown who had her arms around him, flashing white teeth in a bright smile.
That had been the happiest day of his life but this was definitely the worst day of his life. Tears gathered in his eyes.

When the silence was too much to bear, Doris went to stand beside him. She held his chin and turned his head to look at her. She was thunderstruck when she saw tears rolling down his eyes. She was greatly alarmed.

“Sweetheart, have you lost your job or what?" she fearfully inquired. It was a known fact that the architectural and construction firm he worked in had laid off some staff recently.

"I wish!" he retorted and walked away from her. He went to gaze out the window into the darkness and put his hands in his pockets.

"What the hell is it then?" she shouted in exasperation. "I've been asking you that same question for three days now. Ever since you came back, you've been mopping around the house. You even refused to go to the office and don't think I haven't noticed that you refuse to look me in the eye! What the hell happened in Abuja? Tell me, dammit!" she yelled in anger.

"I slept with your sister."
Slept with his wife's sister? He should get Dave's punishment.

Africa was not in the dark ages then, it is now that africa is sliding into the darkest of ages.
Then, africa was enlightened, but the books written by whites dont tell u that. They tell u africans were dumb, savage and everything bad
