Christianity Etc › Re: Roman Catholic Is Not A Church, But A Modernised Way Of Idolatry? by shotster50(m): 9:25pm On Nov 14, 2008

DavidDylan:
Did you remember Christ's message to the rich young man who had fulfilled all the law from his youth? "Good" wont take you to heaven . . . sorry the bible said it not me.

hopefully this wont be replied with a 500,000 words hence putting the reader to sleep by sentence 1.

That the end did not come in Paul's time does not mean we shld now live as if the end is another 2000 years away. The bible says we wont know the time but it says we shall see the signs, it also says to "gird up our loins" . . .

and in case you wish to know . . . this indeed are the last days.
So these people who were born into other religions are condemned because they are not Christianshuh? Personally i have a problem with that because not everybody has come in contact with Christianity and not all of them are certainly going to hell.
Travel › Re: Any information about student visa to Ghana will be welcome by shotster50(m): 9:21pm On Nov 14, 2008
You do not need a visa for Ghana with a West African passport, but you are only allowed 3 months visa free after which you are expected to go and endorse it with the relevant visa. I schooled in Ghana a bit so I know.

@ SeanT21 ,

Girl, never knew you could quote the bible like this. Well anyway,my point is this, 'Speaking in tongues' was depicted in the bible, but I think people are actually abusing that today. I have seen people go off just like that completely blabbering utter gibberish. The whole idea of it was that as one spoke it, someone from another tongue could possibly understand what one is saying, etc (correct me if i am wrong). I dont really see that happening in our churches today.

Travel › Re: What Do Nigerians Think Of Australia? by shotster50(m): 2:42am On Nov 13, 2008
@ Poster

Some of the reasons why Nigerians do not consider going to Australia:

1. The Extremely complicated Visa process.
2. Cost of going back to Nigeria as opposed to the UK/US.
3. The percieved racism in Australia.
4. The value of the Aussie dollar.

They do not issue student visas, instead it is a Temporary Residence Permit for the intended course duration. Also you need to make sure the school you intend to study in is licensed by their immigration. You dont necessarily have to get it in Nigeria.

Some of the posts here are soooo damn funny, So DavidDylan, because the Catholic church has a huge following, that means it must be evilhuhhuh I want to ask a question to all these 'true believers' here, Who are we to judge and label which branch of Christianity is right and which is wronghuh? Shouldnt we direct that energy wasted to saving our souls than pointing fingers? If being catholic wont get you to heaven, what is going to happen to 'good' muslims, budhists, Toaist, Atheists, Hndus, etc, are they condemned to burn in eternal hellfire because they were born into their various religionshuh
