Music/Radio › Re: Kanye West Vs 50 Cent Again ! by shotster50(m): 2:52am On Nov 10, 2008
it’s just amazing how Curtis fell the Bleep off in such a short period of time. Think about where you were when “In The Club” first hit: that song was a banging epic that successfully attracted both the streets and clubs. Fast-forward to now where that G-Unit that dropped this year didn’t even go gold,
Critics will blame Curtis’ current losing streak on his oversaturation in music, so much so that people are flat out tired of his antics (ie constantly trying to beef everyone once he's got an up coming album). To make it worse, he is apparently pissed that people dont recognize him as a conscious rapper (like Common) wtf!!! After GRODT, Curtis' shit became pure garbage.

Kanye West on the other hand is on some new ish rite now, no one can touch that. I dont really think theres any ground for comparisons as Kanye Wests' nu album is definitely not Rap. That said I am still copping it.

Travel › Re: India: Anyone? by shotster50(m): 2:04am On Nov 10, 2008
I have been to Mumbai and Delhi. Indian cities are biiiig. Think of lagos, multiply that by 5 lol. One thing about that country is that it takes time to get used to it. The first few days, you will probably be wishing you werent there but after that you get used to it. The food is mainly rice dishes and cost of living is low when compared to other Asian cities like Malaysia and Singapore. Delhi is a lot nicer and civil than Mumbai and you might run into Nigerian students there.
Travel › Re: Panama (Central America) by shotster50(m): 1:55am On Nov 10, 2008
Panama is a big destination for retirees ( that is retired people from western countries, going to spend the rest of their lives there).
Panama has one of the lowest costs of living in all Central and South America. Colombia is cheaper if you don't mind being an occasional kidnap/robbery victim. Actually many legitimate Colombians have moved to Panama and are setting up businesses here. Honduras is cheaper but there is no infrastructure for medical, phones, internet etc. Ecuador has little infrastructure but it sure is cheap. Belize isn't so cheap and has little infrastructure. Costa Rica is not really cheaper and has a serious crime problem plus there are no longer benefits for Expats and you would have to pay income tax on your offshore income like retirement, social security etc in Costa Rica. Mexico has a serious crime problem with drug gangs executing mayors and police chiefs their first day in office and kidnappings are common. It is debatable if Mexico is cheaper than Panama but they do tax offshore income in Mexico so it is probably more expensive for this reason alone and the crime situation makes it hazardous. I am sure you could find some safe areas in rural Mexico but then you have no infrastructure like internet, phones, cell phones, good highways, medical, good water, etc. So that brings us back to Panama which is the only country that seems to have it all - no taxes on offshore income, extremely low crime (lowest crime rate in Latin America), great food (not good, great), very good internet at USA prices, good phones, good cell phones, cable and satellite TV, friendly people, the ability to buy just about anything you can buy in the USA probably for the same price or less, many consumer goods at a fraction of the USA prices, nice climate, 2.5 hours by plane to Miami and so forth.

People are bleating about how racist the UK are, but the same thing happens in our dear Naija.  people are racist (tribalist morelike) in Nigeria too for eg you 've got people saying they don't like these 'omo igbos' coming to invade Lagos and other places, and you also have igbos complaining about the amount of 'Abokis' in the east. These things you see are natural reactions to seeing strangers on your home turf.

I believe it is a collective guilt. The fact that people could sell their own brethren is simply inexcusable. Having said that, I still believe that even if they where unwilling to sell, the white people would have still got them by force.

@ Mc Usman,

I have followed some of your threads which I thought where intelligent and well balanced but I find this current one disgusting. What is the pointhuhhuh You cant just say Igbos are loosing relevance and Ijaws taking their spot without facts, this seriously bothers on ignorance. What I can deduct from your various statements here are that you simply cannot stand them and that is the plain truth. Do not let ethnic reasoning / hatred becloud your sense of reasoning.
