Politics / Regime Of Confusion And Unbridled Deceits by Shoutozone: 10:32am On Feb 16, 2015

Egghead ODEWALE

Last Wednesday (11/02/2015), the President in a media chat with selected journalists at the Presidential Villa, Abuja attended to questions bordering on various issues that affect Nigeria and the polity. If anything, rather than clear the air around the issues raised, the president merely succeeded in adding to the confusion and aiding the distrust that already pervade his administration. Particularly, through his own whims and grimaces, he offered Nigerians another opportunity to re-assess his sentiments and the thinking around government quarters with respect to those important national issues.

JEGA’S TENURE

Even if Mr. President is no longer disposed towards Jega, he should be told that he cannot remove the latter from office until the expiration of his tenure on June 30. While responding to questions during the media chat, President Goodluck Jonathan opined that he held constitutional powers to appoint or remove the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega. He said, “…if you ask Jega, he would tell you. I appointed all the Commissioners and Resident Electoral Commissioners in INEC. They are my appointees. So, if I feel that Jega is not good enough for obvious reasons, then I can by that provision of the constitution, that gives the person power who appointed him the power, to remove him. But I have not told anybody that I am going to remove Jega”.
I think it is unfortunate that despite all the years spent in public service, which invariably is his main claim to suitability for the highest office, Mr. President continues to commit such solecisms on issues that draw obvious references in the Constitution of the Federal Republic as well as from legal texts, history and tradition in public office. To wit, the Constitution is clear on the powers for appointment and removal of the INEC Chairman and head and/or members of other federal agencies duly listed in S153, Chapter VI, Part I(B). Listed at S153f, amongst 14 other federal agencies (S153a-n), the Commissioners at INEC, including the Chairman (S161) “may only be removed from that office by the President acting on an address supported by two-thirds majority of the Senate praying that he be so removed for inability to discharge the functions of the office (whether arising from infirmity of mind or body or any other cause) or misconduct(S161d)” as clearly enumerated in S157 of the same chapter of the Constitution.

With all the human and financial resources at the disposal of Mr. President, one would expect that he has unhindered access to the best advice or ideas that you can imagine. He should, by now, know that once nominated, ratified by the NASS and appointed into office, it has gone beyond his powers to sack any of the Commissioners at INEC, including the Chairman. What do his aides viz: Attorney-General, Special Adviser (Legal) and his personal lawyers, tell him with respect to his powers in this instance? I wish that he be so reminded and that he must immediately withdraw his embarrassing comments but also ensure he guarantees the tenure of office of the INEC Chairman and his Commissioners. This call has become imperative in light of the coordinated orchestrated attacks on the person and integrity of Prof Attahiru Jega by the President’s men, friends and party.

I am sure that Nigerians have not forgotten how the president in two instances overreached the powers of his office in the removal of former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami, and the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. This is a man who claims not to apply more than 40% of the powers of his office yet has consistently misapplied or misappropriated such Constitutional powers. A president who touts separation of powers should be mindful that the exercise of certain powers are subject to the ratification of the relevant arms of government. Despite being a major beneficiary in both instances, if the removal of Salami and Sanusi did not cause him enough political heartache, Mr. Jonathan would know that the country is at that point where the inkling of any unwarranted suspicion of the electoral process can inflame tenebrific clouds over the nation. My reproof is for him to price the crisis very well before he procures it.

INEC AND MILITARY DO NOT CONSULT THE PRESIDENT
In another instance and in a clear attempt to scorn S158(1) of the Constitution, Mr. President intoned what seemed like a complaint stating “In 2011, INEC didn’t consult me.” May I make it clear to Mr. President that the ‘I’ standing for ‘Independent’ in INEC is not a pejorative affixture but one whose ramifications have been stated and founded a backbone in S158(1) of the Constitution. Sir, INEC is not expected to consult you more especially when you have a vested interest and you’re a contestant in the elections. Nonetheless, this does not in any way preclude you from providing all necessary administrative supports to ensure hitch-free elections as against the slipshod manner in which your security chiefs have reprobated relevant provisions of the Constitution.
Contrariwise, the same is not correct for the conduct of the Service Chiefs who seemed to have turned the president to not more than a ‘figurehead’ Commander-in-Chief by his own admission. In the selfsame chat, the president suggested that, “I am not the Chief of Defence Staff that wrote the letter…. the security services did not consult me. Of course, I was not consulted and did not want to be consulted”. With no other person than the president who should double as the Commander-in-Chief now openly admitting that he was not consulted before the security advisory to abort the initially proposed February elections was passed to INEC, one must be deeply worried that the security services no longer subscribe to or are no more under the firm control of civilian authorities as expected in a democratic dispensation and as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution.

Whereas the Chairman of INEC claimed during his infamous press conference that he received a security caution from the NSA, President Jonathan has not apportioned that claim to the Chief of Defence. Staff. We are left as a nation with nothing more than frenetic jitters to demand the truth with respect to the author, nay Constitutional coupist(s), of the missive that eventually occasioned last Saturday’s involuntary postponement of the elections.

It should bother all men and women of good conscience that the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.) and the Service Chiefs have become too powerful that they contumaciously usurp provisions of the Constitution and contemptuously disregard constituted civilian authorities and no less than the man in whom the sovereignty of Nigerians has been vested till May 29th, 2015. By his own very admission, President Jonathan has not only demonstrated his infirmness to continue to hold office as the President and Commander-in-Chief but also exposed the NSA and Service Chiefs as abusing their offices and irresponsibly abdicating the lawful security tasks assigned to them thereby making them, incompetent to continue in their offices.

Of course, the president showed a deceitful befuddlement when he later admitted that, “as Chief Security Officer, of the Federation, I have an idea” of the memo sent to subvert the original plans toward the February 14th national elections and February 28th state elections. This development where the president vacillates or prevaricates unsurely publicly, has given rise to a situation contrary to known practice where it is now the NSA and Service Chiefs who give assurances with respect to the ‘inviolability of next advertised dates’ of the General Elections.

USE OF GOVERNMENT RESOURCES FOR CAMPAIGN
With all gusto, President Jonathan declared, “In 2011, INEC didn’t consult me (before shifting the election). If they had consulted me, I wouldn’t have wasted my time and government resources. For any trip I make, I know what the government spends”. This is a clear testimony from Mr. President that he has been applying government resources to his political campaigns. Whether in periods of surplus or time of austerity, such wanton misapplication of official resources for Mr. President’s personal political activities is totally uncalled for. If for nothing, this puts additional unnecessary pressure on dwindling government resources.

One would expect Coordinating Minister for the Economy (CME), Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, to immediately commence the implementation of her austerity measures from such wasteful endeavours that eat into government expenditures.

I think it behooves a punctilious leader and one who has the interest of his people at heart to do away with such unnecessary draw-downs on public funds.

MORE REASONS FOR POLLS SHIFT
If the inconsistency of the NSA’s original claims for the calls for polls shift with those of the service chiefs who claim inability to protect the polls was anything to go by, Mr. President debunked all of these when he asserted that “Yes, the Boko Haram is there; but also the tensed factor in the country. When INEC came up with the dates for elections, there was no much threat and the security agencies saw a lot of red points and they believed elections should be shifted, otherwise the whole country would go into flames”.

A president who has already claimed not to be consulted in serious matters of national security declares that some other “tensed factors” was responsible for the polls postponement, then we may begin to demand further explanations; what items constitute these tensed factors? This latest suggestion is an unambiguous confirmation of what we have always maintained that Mr. President and his band of appointed security chiefs take Nigerians for a ride as they wish. Nigerians are reminded how the clamour for polls shift started with the NSA under the pretext of rate of PVC collection, then to the irresponsible claim that the security agencies cannot guarantee security for the elections and now the president himself cited tensed factors. At some point, the government through the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), resorted to scaremongering when Mike Omeri avows of plans to blow up polling units across the country. A threat to which his government’s only response to avert the envisioned carnage was to collect signatures from Nigerians across all 774 Local Government Areas

Nigerians should demand to know the truth as these indications call for concern regarding the genuineness of the new dates announced for the elections. Nigerians are already exasperated and having to endure a grueling campaign schedule is bad enough. President Goodluck Jonathan and his men should save the nation the distressing troubles of going through this cycle again, because suddenly, the electoral developments have become a déjà vu reminiscent of Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida’s series of aborted transition programmes. Nigerians are forewarned to beware!

Politics / The Umbrella, The Broom by Shoutozone: 2:58pm On Feb 13, 2015
Unarguably, the country has experienced a skyrocketed level of the importation of umbrellas, which is the symbol of the Peoples Democratic Party, which is as a result of the inability of the ruling party to fund our metal and steel production company, this has ultimately increased the level of umbrella importation amongst other produce into the country; surprisingly, the production of locally made brooms has experienced a pragmatic boom as a result of the increased patronage by members of the All Progressives Congress across the length and breadth Nigeria in identification with the symbol of their political party, this increased patronage has left a direct impact on the internally generated revenue of our heritage, and also encouraged unemployed women and youths to tap into the stream of the All Progressives Congress indirectly created empowerment programme.

The symbol of the All Progressives Congress, Nigeria is believed to symbolise collectiveness and the strong will of different people from different regions of the country, in order to enhance a collective performance; this is synonymous to the collections of strands of brooms from different sources, binded together to form a bundle of strands, which becomes difficult to break and does the cleaning job better. Unarguably, the broom which is the symbol of the All Progressives Congress can be seen in every home, workshop, office, market place and other places, as it importance cannot be underscored in the cleaning of the earlier mentioned places; while the importance of the umbrella is pertinent to rainy season on the calendar of every year, Nebuchadnezzarists have in a long time argued that the umbrella is an all season protection object, but it is pathetic that we only make use of the umbrella during the rainy season because we are Nigerians.

Pathetically, Nebuchadnezzarists have been unable to focus the King Nebuchadnezzar camera focus on the need to atleast encourage our local manufacturers of umbrellas through the SMEs or subventions so as to create an atmosphere where unemployment can be reduced to its minimal. Nigerians have always been provided with google based achievements of the incumbent administration, of how new tertiary institutions have been established at the expense the existing underfunded ones, how they have done reasonably well in the agriculture sector when the prices of farm produce has not stopped to increase by the day, how the King Nebuchadnezzar led regime has successfully refurbished our abandoned old locomotive trains, when a country that got the same amount of loan from a China based financial institution was able overhaul their dilapidated rail tracks and also usher in modern trains.

In addition, they make claims of how the King Nebuchadnezzar have successfully revive our infrastructures when nearly all federal infrastructures to include Federal Prisons in the country are underfunded and insecure, how the incumbent administration has created over 20million jobs via a raffle draw on the pages of national dailies while over 70million Nigerians remain jobless, how the incumbent administration has been able to construct over 25,000km of roads to link the 36 Nigerian States, when our major roads remain in a dismay situation and are dead traps for the Nigerian people, and above all cast aspersions on the opposition for other failures that has been credited to the incumbent administration; whenever Nigerians make a request for the King Nebuchadnezzar 6years performance spreadsheet.

At a critical time like this, when decisions that will either make or mar our future is about to be made at the forthcoming polls, it is vital for us as a people to make an undiluted comparison and contrast between the importance of the umbrella and the broom as in accordance to how they have performed in their respective States and at the center, and as they apply to our everyday life, and how they have been able to affect our economy both in terms of how much the incumbent administration has exhausted on the importation of the umbrella at the peril of the Nigerian people, when we should be a big exporter of um brella considering the availability of the resources..

Politics / One Nation; Bound In Freedom, Peace And Unity ~ Gen. Buhari by Shoutozone: 2:39pm On Feb 12, 2015
Recently, I had the honor and privilege of
meeting with the Conference of
Catholic Bishops, here in Abuja. At that
meeting, I had the opportunity to
make some remarks about our country, this
imminent elections, my personal
views, as well as record. I cherish and
appreciate this opportunity to again
reiterate some of the remarks I made at that
meeting.
As our nation approaches perhaps the most
crucial election in our history, all
true patriots are called to deeper reflection of
the basic ingredients that bind
the nation together- our common freedom,
peace and unity. This reflection is
even more relevant in the face of the illegal
postponement of the general
elections- a feat achieved through various
sinister ploys and with the sole aim
of avoiding the will and verdict of the people.
In all of these, I feel the urgeto
communicate some of my personal vision and
thoughts to the people of our
great country, especially on the question of
religion, a sensitive matter for
many citizens that has become the most
frequently used tool by the ruling
party. This affordsme an opportunity to give
my response to the ruling party’s
false propaganda and lies against my person.
Needless to say, we must at all times hold
the unity, peace and progress of
our dear nation paramount and above all other
considerations, especially
politics. Those who deliberately disseminate
divisive disinformation and
attempt to stoke primordial sentiments using
religion or ethnicity and create
fear in the minds of our people fail the
standard of patriotism this nation
demands of them and deserves from them.
The ruling government and PDP
have adopted this sad divisive and false
narrative as their strategy to prevent
the inevitable change that our country and
people desire and require. And
they have succeeded in making some of us
victims of the tales which they
invent, propagate and sell as gospel truth to
gullible listeners, while it is all
nothing but a tissue of lies.
I would like to solemnly declare that in spite
of what our detractors say, I am
not a religious fanatic of any sort and I have
never been. In all my life, I have
never supported extremism of any kind, and
nowhere in my record of service
to this nation can this false toga, political
opponents have tried so hard to put
on me, be substantiated. Indeed, it is very
unfortunate and I feel extremely
sad that I have to give this type of assurance.
Page 2
My background is in the army, and there is
no doubt that the military is the
most integrated pan-Nigerian institution. And
even today, the military is one of
the institutions that represents the pride of
our nation’s possibilities in unity.
Compatriots from every corner of this
country come together, work and live
together, entrust their lives to each other and
integrate their families. It is a
military where many of my dearest friends,
from all faiths and parts of the
country, lost their lives defending the unity of
our nation. That was the military
I served in, and in that military it was
impossible to be a bigot.
For me, the issue of religion was, and should
always, be a matter of personal
conviction. This personal conviction approach
to religion has defined my work
and interactions all my life, including my
tenure in office as military Head of
State. The religion of all those I worked with
was never a factor in their
progress or in what happened to them. All
that mattered then, and should still
matter today, are competence, integrity and
readiness to be fair to all.
I was recently informed that we had a
balanced cabinet with key positions
such as Finance, Energy and Defence
occupied by Christians. In addition, 11
of the 19 governors I appointed were
Christians. My most memorable
recollections of subordinate service was under
Christian bosses, the finest
our country had then, and among the most
respected today. Indeed one of
the best appraisals I received in the course of
my military career was from
General T.Y Danjuma.
Government has no business preferring one
religion to the other. The role of
government is to protect lives and properties
of citizens and to respect and
protect their constitutional rights. One critical
freedom that every government
must strive to protect is the liberty for
citizens to exercise their respective
faiths, Christians and Muslims or others, in a
lawful manner without fear or
hindrance and to prosecute those who use
religion as an excuse to destroy
homes, schools and places of worship. When
governments fail in that duty,
they must then assist in the rebuilding of
structures including destroyed
places of worship and giving full restitution
for lost property. We, Nigerians,
are a religious people, and the burning of
places of worship constitutes one of
the vilest forms of abomination to all those
who believe in God. It is the duty
of governments to protect this important
sensitivity.
Let me state this categorically, that I,
MuhammaduBuhari, as an individual,
and as president of this great country by the
grace of God, given the
opportunity to serve, have no personal
religious agenda. And I will not
entertain, consider or promote the religious
agenda of anyone. I will not
condone any initiative that seeks to promote
one religion over the other.
Neither I, nor my party, or any member of
my team has any desire or plan to
Islamize or Christianize Nigeria or support
anyone with such intention.
Although I am a practising Muslim, and I have
been so all my life, I have
never belonged to, nor shared the views of,
any extremist group. I am not
even a cleric. I believe that religion is personal
and private. Most of my
bodyguards are Christians. If I have not
Islamized these people who serve
under me, how will I Islamize the likes of Chief
John Odigie-
O y e g u n ,
O g b o n n a y a
O n u ,
Governors RochasOkorocha, Kayode Fayemi,
Rotimi Amaechi or
Professor Yemi Osinbajo who is a senior
advocate of Nigeria and a pastor?
Or how will I Islamize Nigeria?
Our constitution, which in many respects, is
similar to the
American constitution does not permit a state
religion. The Sharia identified in
the constitution is almost synonymous with
customary law. It is only
applicable in matters of personal status such
as marriage, divorce and
inheritance. This has been the case since the
1979 constitution. Just as no
one can make any customary or any other
religious law the law of Nigeria, so
Sharia cannot therefore be the law of Nigeria.
My record is evidence of this strongly held
belief. Before my tenure, the
deadly and violent extremist radical sect,
Maitasine carried out terrorist
activities in the north, especially Kano; When it
erupted again in Bulunkutu
and Yola during my tenure were effectively
eliminated. Similarly, when some
Chadian insurgents attempted to occupy
Nigerian territory, I led the military
confrontation that eliminated the threat.
For all purposes, we must all learn to live
together as brothers and sisters,
because the problems that bedevil our nation
do not discriminate based on
religion or ethnicity. Poverty and hunger do
not know or respect religion or
creed. When a bomb explodes in a market, it
kills and maims without regard
for religion or ethnicity. The millions of the
unemployed youth of our country
cut across all tribes and religions.
Wicked propagandists continue to spread
vicious lies about me for political
gain, including claiming that I once asked
Muslims not to vote for Christians.
This must be the height of absurdity. How
could I ever say that, when
whoever voted for me would be voting for
the Christian running with me on
the same ticket? And how could I ever say
that of Christians when my own
holy book, the Qur’an, tells me that in the
entire world those that are nearest
in love to me are those who believe in Jesus
Christ [AS]? I ask, who,
intending to win any election, ever does that?
How can I choose southern
Christian running mates [Chuba Okadigbo of
blessed memory,
Pastor Tunde Bakare and Pastor
YemiOsinbajo] and with them by my side
make such silly utterances?
Page 4
Because they have no record, they must seek
to destroy our own; and
because they have no integrity, they feel they
must impugn our own.
We must reject those who propagate hatred,
ethnicity,
divisiveness, sectionalism or seek to
manipulate our religious differences in
such cynical fashion. On our part, we will
remain undeterred: our commitment
is to bring about change in the way we live
and think and work in this nation;
and our goal is to ensure a decent existence
for all. And, by the Grace of
God, that is what we will do—we will remain
true to our commitment and we
will achieve our goal.
May God bless Nigeria and its people for all
time.

Politics / Buhari To Catholic Bishops: Nobody Can Christianise Or Islamise Nigeria by Shoutozone: 11:15am On Feb 12, 2015
General Muhammadu Buhari, has re-affirmed his commitment towards ensuring that Nigeria remains a multi-religious state where every individual is free to practise his or her religion of choice.
Speaking at what Bishop Ignatius Kaigama, President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria christened an “Episcopal” Town Hall Conversation with representatives of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria, Buhari stated that although he had been severally and consistently vilified and maligned, he had no personal religious agenda and neither would he support any move by anybody or group of persons to either Christianise or Islamise Nigeria.
In his speech titled “One Nation bound in Freedom, Peace, Unity and Love”, Buhari, who was accompanied by his running mate, Pastor Yemi Osinbajo, the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State and a host of other members of PCC, stressed that he “will not condone any initiative that seeks to promote one religion over the other.”
Earlier in his welcome speech, Bishop Kaigama, who is also the Archbishop of Jos, said that the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria believes in the unity and progress of the country and regretted the wide communication chasm that exists between the leaders and the people. He hoped that the conversation was an indication of the willingness to establish a sustainable communication platform.
In a series of boisterous exchanges, the Bishops variously expressed their concern with the falling education standards in Nigeria, wide spread corruption, violence in the polity, insurgency and the worrisome security situation in the country, amongst others.
Reacting, Buhari traced the cause of these challenges to unemployment. In his view, “in a country where a large percentage of the younger generation is unemployed and where no immediate respite is in sight, these challenges are prone to abound. Give them self improvement opportunities; offer them a view of a greater tomorrow and all these will be in the past.”
Buhari assured that his government will pursue a well planned agricultural programme in conjunction with development of the rural areas in order to exploit the multiplier benefits of agriculture, empower citizens and curtail rural-urban drift. He also stated that the solid mineral exploration and exploitation would be given a boost to generate employment.
On fighting corruption, Buhari maintained that “we already have laws and institutions empowered to fight against corrupt practices. All we need is the will to activate these structures and utilize them appropriately.”
He further stated that Nigeria’s potential for greatness will become evident again and be more appreciated not long after he steps into office.

Politics / Six Weeks Poll Shift: A Plot To Disarm The Peoples General. by Shoutozone: 7:13pm On Feb 11, 2015
The much envisaged poll shift lingered till the dead hours of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) earlier scheduled election date, this decision has successfully raised the suspended political hot dust from its initial low level haphazard motion to nearly above the horizon of the human eye, and following the unfolding of the plans of the presidency and the ruling party to avert the much anticipated and projected defeat they are mostly likely to suffer at the forthcoming March 28, 2015 presidential polls; the ruling party has embarked on a fresh pursuit to disarm the peoples general, which is capable of regressing our democracy and eventually scuttling the credibility of the forthcoming general elections.

Unarguably, the poll shift is not in conflict with the electoral provisions in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999 as amended) which stipulates that elections must be held in not less than 30 days before the expiration of the present administration or 150 days after the expiration of the present administration, this decision has received accolades from Nigerians who believe that it was a good move by the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission to stabilize the heated polity and to neutralize the tension generated in the political atmosphere by the top political players, while some politically prowess Nigerians who understand the undisclosed intentions of the presidency and the ruling party, have an otherwise submission that the poll shift following the ruling party’s influence on the refusal of the Nigerian Military to provide security for the electorate and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is nothing close or synonymous to a progressive decision but a daylight mischievous move to disarm the peoples general, which they believe will be synonymous to shooting oneself in the foot, as the extension will be in favour of the peoples general at the polls.

It is no fallacy that the aspiration of the peoples general to become the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was hit by countless attacks from the party at the center and few notable figures within the ranks of his political party, but the delegates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from the length and breadth of the country swam against the tides and were staunched in their determination to deliver a large chunk of the votes in favour of the peoples general, as against the votes garnered by his contenders who are moneybags with affluence and influence both at home and in diaspora; the race to be handed the party presidential flag ended with a mixed reaction in the ranks of the ruling party, some projected a shocking defeat of the incumbent president and some ruled that the peoples general will give the incumbent president a run for his money, his power and history but will eventually concede defeat to the incumbent.

While the ruling party was putting up plans to remain in power at all cost, by showcasing its debatable achievements in six years in office, putting up sponsored campaign of calumny adverts on national dailies, instructed the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) to deactivate the short message code for the peoples general fund raising platform, making provocative messages on different online social media platforms, sponsoring mudslinging broadcasts on national and satellite televisions, and the use of violence coated words to sway timid voters in their advantage and also to intimidate their critics; the peoples general was busy reading out the manifestos of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as contained in their ‘Roadmap to a new Nigeria’, highlighting the shortcomings of the government of the day while providing an alternative approach as well and debunking false statements made by the ruling party, this has no doubt been helpful in educating the people on the need for a purpose driven government at a time when the Nigerian people need it the most.

From a typical Nigerian perspective, the plot of the presidency to supervise the replacement of the present leadership of the Prof. Attahiru Jega led INEC with someone else will undermine the confidence of the people in a credible electioneering process which will lead to an historical voter apartheid and will definitely witness a coarse reaction from groups of aggrieved people across the nation’s territorial borders which might append a signature to the proposal of disintegration or a regional autonomy from nearly all the six geopolitical zones, if the digits are manipulated in favour of the incumbent president.

In addition, the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) effort to curb the mischievous electioneering strives of the ruling party by introducing the use of card readers for voter authentication might not stand the test of time, going by the recent position of the ruling party and the presidency to yank the use of the multi-billion naira card readers, as this will scuttle their plans to manipulate the digits and give way for the use of the millions of the multiple registered temporary voters cards with strange, non-nigerian and non-african names, convincingly these cards were used by the ruling party to rig the 2011 general elections which reflected in the wide margin victory recorded by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) at the 2011 polls; per adventure, the presidency and the ruling party have their way in quashing the use of the permanent voters cards (PVC) in the forthcoming polls, then going to the polls will be a complete waste of time for Nigerians who are determined to change the incumbent administration because the results will be predetermined and estimated.

At this juncture, it is imperative for Nigerians to expect the unexpected from the mischievous moves of the incumbent administration to either remain as residents of our most prestigious Aso Villa or give in to a Military interim government, in order to avert conceding defeat to the major opposition party; no doubt, the move the ruling party as regards the poll shift is aimed at disarming the peoples general by promoting more mudslinging sponsored adverts, ensuring that his purse get drained, promote more legal litigation against the peoples general and his political party in order to quench the zeal and resilience of their teaming supporters; disappointingly, these has exposed the inability of the incumbent administration to promote its over blotted infinitesimal achievements in our Economy, Power, Trade, Production and Manufacturing, Agriculture, Education to mention a few.
If our democracy must remain and our coexistence become stronger, then it is important for us as a people to do everything within our reach to reject every mischievous move of our politicians who are hell bent on securing their loots even at the peoples peril; Nigeria belongs to all of us and we must protect her with our valuables and perhaps our body fluids, if need be.

Are you implying that Chimamanda who is already an A-class author and celebrity is craving for you to notice her? If you've not been reading her books, you should at least have seen award winning movies made from the books she authored. Stop kidding please...

He earns far less than the legislathieves
That is if this assessment is in the truest level - which I doubt. And besides, they said salary. That indeed could be his salary but could never be his earning. There is a clear margin between those two. The earning comprises of all his exuberant allowances. They'd never let us know about that, will they?
