Christianity EtcRe: Will I Be Making A Mistake By Becoming A Jehovah's Witness? by shumno(f): 10:40pm On Nov 09, 2011
My advice, join a church that reads, preaches and believes the Bible, preaches more on salvation, its concern is more about your soul than your physical being. example of such churches are Evangelical church winning All( ECWA), Anglican, Baptist churches etc. Go for their Bible study weekly programmes and you will see the difference.

FamilyRe: I Am Very Unhappy In My Marriage by shumno(f): 8:52am On Oct 27, 2011
OP, dont run away o. Wasn't there any form of courtship before you married? That was the time you were supposed to know wether to marry her or not, the mistake has been done already. All i will advice you to do is to try and make her the kind of woman you would want her to be, tell her to loose weight and get to be a friend I.e spend more time with her, if she understands what you want and how you want her to dress, behave and act etc, am sure she will be willing to work towards making her marriage a successs.

Cut off all ties from your ex, if she wants to know how married life is like, let her go and get married. The more you communicate with he r the stronger the temptation to continue/start an illicit affair with her. Do not succumb to this temptation. No marriage is without its ups and downs, you have to be ready to work at it to make it happy and successful, are you ready for a happy married life? Then tighten your seat belt and as I would always say commit it into God's hand tell Him all your worries and you will be surprised how it works out. All the best and congratulations in advanc e.
FamilyRe: How Long Can U Allow Your Mum To Stay In Your Matrimonial Home? by shumno(f): 6:49pm On Oct 26, 2011
@outstrip you are just assuming that I would be a terrible  mil to my dil, I reject that in the name of Jesus. All am trying to say is that you should not be too hard on your parents because of what you see happening around you, after all the Bible says you should honor your father and your mother, I feel being kind to them is part of it. If the need arises for them to have to live with me I would even invite them (mil and mother) to come live with me, it is an African custom. I don't blame you, na your oyibo mentality dey worry you.

Now get this, it is only people like you who are not secure or something that would bother themselves about such things, as far as I am concerned a wife's role is quite different and distinct from the role a mother plays. You as a mother can never take the place of a wife, likewise the wife can never take the place of a mother, two poles apart, and if both you and your husband understand, love and respect each other nothing can come between you, your husband sef will be on your defense.

For your info and by the grace of God, I am not planning to live off my children, only a bad mother would do that. I am comfortable right now and believe it will remain so if Jesus tarries it is my prayer that the kids turn out even better than we are right now, at any point in time if they ever will need help my husband and I will not hesitate to run to the rescue. We would continue to pray that all goes well with everyone (parents and children) so that nobody bothers anyone. I  even declare even right now that by the grace of God I will NEVER in future be a problem to my sils and dil and I pray to abide by what I have declared (I strongly believe in God), amen and shalom to you!

For as long as they want. One day I would also visit my kids in their homes when they are married and would not want to be chased out of their home as if I am a stranger. Do unto others what you would have them do to you. Women remember your mil has become your mum too. You love her son you have to love her too because she gave birth to him. Shalom!

Governor Rochas understands the problems of the masses because he was once there himself. He started from a humble background and did not forget where he is coming from. May God continue to bless and grant him the wisdom he needs to steer the affairs of his state well in Jesus name, amen.

All the other governors keep telling us is that it can't be done, so is Rochas using magic? It is really sad how some few people decide to enslave Nigerians and keep us in bondage, as long as our God is still on the throne, there. Is hope and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

It is totally, completely and absolutely wrong to engage in this kind and every other kind of exam malpractice. I mean gone are the days when people write exams by themselves and pass. Almost every one is involved in this crime and even parents are guilty of encouraging such. May God rescue us, amen.

God is good, all the time His faithfulness endures for ever.
Lost my mum at an early age, now married with children, my siblings and I all graduates have a good job, healthy, wonderful husband etc, etc, all the Lord's doing. I give Him all the glory, non can be compared to Him.

When I left secondary school kept singing the song He has promised He will never fail, I will follow Him, His faithfulness is for ever more. Though there were ups and downs He remained faithful through thick and thin. I love You Lord.
FamilyRe: My Son Is A Bastard: Help Me Pls. by shumno(f): 10:17pm On Oct 17, 2011
Yarisman hmmm, your marriage is already on a shaky ground. Has your wife at anytime given you cause not to trust her. Once you start this way (not trusting your wife), you will have problems with your marriage in future. Lack of trust can breed a lot of negative things in marriage.

What I feel you should do at the moment is to trust your wife, could be that you are just imagining what is really not there. If at the end of the DNA test the boy happens to be your son, your wife will really really not be happy with you.as I said earlier if you have no cause whatsoever to mistrust your wife, then forget about anything DNA test and enjoy your family rather than creating problems for yourself. All the best to you.

Being the first child is not easy cos I am the first child in my house.
So many expectations.
U want to lead for others to follow.
U r seen as a role model.
Its quite expensive too.
U av to be good academically too cos your younger ones may bring tough questions as assignment from school and bleeping up is bad.
They look up to u, u lead, they follow, they expect u to make crucial decisions, its not an easy task.
You also want them to respect u and so u need to be matured in all your dealings.
The parents are also there.
In summary its not easy, but am enjoying it though.
Even if I come back to this world, I will still come as the first child.

Glory be to God, He has helped me meet all the conditions mentioned above so far. It is not easy because so much is expected of you, because of that you have to be up and doing. All the same am enjoying being the 1st though sometimes wish I had a senior one to look up to.
