ogocology: I'll say you're wrong sir, like you said did the ice break from space? No but there's a whole continent called Antarctica normal continent oo just like Africa but has this huge ice covering it like 50-100ft tall, small small the ice dey slide into the ocean and it stores over 50% of the whole planets fresh water. Same as we have on Greenland too o. Global warming too, as the water dey warm up, the molecules they expand and dey need more space so we get high SL I appreciate the fact that you're taking climate change seriously. 1 Like |

The Larsen C is a sign of much more worse things to come. Although it might not have a significant impact on sea level as it's already present in the sea, but it's main job is to protect the hundreds of thousands Sq km of land based glaciers stored on Antarctica from sliding into the ocean thereby leading to a significant increase in sea level but that's still not the biggest contributor to sea level rise. The biggest contributor to SLR is "Thermal Expansion" as climate change intensifies the sea water warms up and tries to take more space so the ocean basin expands. Lots of of big cities will be affected but funny enough, not just lagos but the Niger Delta is also at a greater risk To those who who believe it's nature, yes it's true it has happened a lot of times in the past and still tend to happen but at this rate, we make it even go much faster. And as humans we will try our best to slow it to the barest minimum or even reverse the course (perhaps the dinosaurs kept doing their thing till they got wiped off ) There will always be skeptics but if people had listened to them then nothing would have been invented. I wonder why most skeptics always post on websites and not accepted science research webs. So happy a lot of people are conscious of what's going on with the planet and for the thread to even reach page 8. And lastly to that Ednut guy and his Uncle Donald, the dinosaurs are patiently waiting. #climatechange #parisagreement #savetheplanet #istillwantbananaislandcondo ISOS-Future Ocean 2 Likes |

aribisala0: I understand your point, it's was pretty obvious the joke about anyone running Lagos. I don't deny the fact that brilliant ideas brought in since 1999 has rapidly developed Lagos which is full of potential. Where I woukd disagree with you is the fact that FG's presence in Lagos didn't play a big role. It set Lagos Lagos on its path though at some point it was abandoned at it took the Leaders to restore it. They've really done a massive job. I remember growing up in the neighboring state, dreams of most kids my age was to work hard and get a job in Lagos. vacation in Lagos was like a dream come true, seeing skyscrapers, bridges, planes, ships. It has always had this allure, why? Due to the development it had seen compared to other states. How I wish other governors can be as smart thinking as the ones we have in Lagos and not wait for the FG because they only have eyes on Abuja. |

fidukpong: Nice one bro, all I've been saying to my friends when they bring up this topic. If each state got what Lagos got. I'll bet some states might actually be doing better than Lagos right now. However, I feel the Government is making the same mistake all over again and will result in Nigeria having another "Lagos". Concentrating your development on just Abuja leaving the rest of the country to develop itself. Compare DC to the rest of the US, a lot people won't know Geneve isn't the capital of Switzerland. If we model our country like this then we'll end up having just 2-3 good places where people will always wanna move to. I kind of envy the Germans, you'll do as good as someone in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg e.tc. because it's developed. I even heard the big cities are located at some specific distances from one another in other to develop others around. On a more serious note, I think Lagos is more or else like "Guardiolas Barcelona", bring any coach (except Wenger) and they'll perform, compare other states to the rest in the league not matter how good your governor/coach is, they'll still be the shadows of Barcelona. 1 Like |

einsteine: That's so true, "every single company of note is headquartered in Lagos", if it's not, you can easily make a guess or 2, Abuja or PH. In the US Ford is located in a tiny town of less than 100,000 people and GM in the same state but Detroit, Walmart is headquartered in one of the smallest cities in Arkansas. In Germany VW isn't in Berlin, Munich but in Wolfsburg, One of the Largest Amazon in world is in a small village in Germany employing thousands of people. I had an American classmate and we talked about Jobs, she wasn't even looking at jobs in those big cities because she was so sure she would get what she wants in her little hometown. That's how it should be. |

You argue so much about what you don't know, In 2012, 172 foreigners took their lives in Switzerland, Assisted suicide has been legal in Switzerland since the 1940s.Mercy killing" is also legal in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, and some U.S. states. I had a friend just last december who had the same for her cat, only close relatives allowed though(I for like take my eye see), Not quite sure but I think it's legal in most Western Countries for animals. As I've read from earlier comments you can actually find better designs and then modify it with your engineer. I found my design here and modified it with an Architect. They also have 3d View where you can actually walk through the house and see how it looks when it's finished. http://hotondo.com.au/3d-explore/nsw/

And the Nigerian constitution supports brutalizing civilians on the street for breaking this law ? Isn't imprisonment different from been beaten up on the street With Regards to what the Soldiers went through to put on the camo, I'll say it's such a silly thing to say because you need to remeber not the Nigerian Military goes to war, I've worked in American Military training faciltites and still these soldiers are excited to take pictures with you wearing a camo. They also fight Terrorist so whats special. Been in the Military should be something you're proud of and not an opportunity to brutalize fellow Nigerians just because you feel so powerful. I think you're the one who has to Stop spitting boosit out of ur ignorant brain DeBlessedOne: |

It's so appaling how Nigerians still think, the guy clearly stated overbearing military aggression on helpless civilians. Clearly justifying the beating a fellow Nigerian because he broke the law seems to be a Norm. I'd like to see where its stated in the law that the Military should take the law up and beat up anyone who breaks the law olajide2428: |

I find it demeaning when people on here call the OP a liar for posting his own experience, YES there is Racism and it's everywhere, just because you've lived there and married doesn't mean there aren't racists, maybe you only chose to ignore them or haven't witnessed it at its peak but am quite sure if you've lived there for long you would have or met people who have. Even in big cities, I had my first big experience in Berlin of all places in Germany where we were pushed out of our Hotel and later got apologized to, after reading TripAdvisor reviews about them, I knew I shouldn't have stayed there. Or was it my friend's experience in the big city of Hamburg where a guy walked up to them right at the train station and called them Monkeys telling them to go back to their stinking Africa. Or was it my friend who was called a Monkey by his supervisor not knowing he understood German, he stopped working that day and management decided to pay him full for the day and offered apologies because they don't want problems. Another is my friend who got punched by an Eastern European because he doesn't like blacks (case still pending and we're waiting for settlement which is cash). So Yes there is Racism everywhere but my view is that it's more common among white people who aren't so enlightened and probably haven't traveled far. #SAYNOTORACISM 6 Likes |

Try apply for a dormitory as soon as possible and also the free language courses and please try learn the language small before coming. Congrats @pompido @aibee01 @Obiwannn See you all soon 3 Likes |
