Thanks, I applied for the 6 Months Visit Visa for ma mum. Against this odds: - I used my Naija Address on the correspondence letter head I did. - No money in her own account was shown. I didn't even use her statement, I used mine with N1.14m balance (N20m+ turnovers in 6months) - She's recently retired, i.e. She doesn't have any income; and they usually want to see what the traveler can bring to the table, on their own, before sponsor now states funds The Visa came out in 2 weeks. Standard Visitor Visa ooooooo. It was amazing experience for me. NB: - She's a Pastor, so I used her Ministry Introduction Letter stating she will be on leave - She retired as Deputy Director in Lagos State Ministry of Education (So, she probably had a strong profile too) - I stated that she was coming for her Birthday (coming up in February 28), and that the trip was a gift following her retirement, and pay back for being supportive to me. - I made sure to create strong ties with her children and husband left back at home, using Marriage certificate and family pictures of husband and 5 kids grown up boys and grand kids, and my wedding and child naming pics with her featuring - I used my UK BRP card; i just got here in October o, I applied for her in December. I didn't even use my UK Address, just phone number. My stated address was Nigeria, and that i'm still employed and working remotely with my Nigerian employer. If they checked my BRP and other info, i'm sure they'd see how much i also earn in the UK and how much tax ive paid since I entered. All in all, it was an unbelievable success. 2 weeks, Visa is out!!!! Thanks y'all for giving hints here and there to give me some direction. giselle237: 2 Likes |

I've only earn pay for 2 weeks in the UK? Please an expert opinion will be appreciated. Thank you. |

Thanks a lot. I am on a Dependent Partner Visa; I got here last month. Should I state in my mum's Visa Application that I live in the UK, and on a Temporary Visa? That's really the situation. Hope its not too early to sponsor her? The address I used is actually my Nigeria address too. Since i'm temporarily here and using Nigeria Account Statement as I still work remotely too in Nigeria, from the UK. giselle237: |

Hello everyone, I am in the process of applying for a UK Visa for my mum now. I want to sponsor her; I have shown funds of around N1.1m for 6 months in my account and also have a dollar account showing like $3k. Turnover in the accounts are good for the 6 months. She is retired and only source of income is allowance I give to her. While filling the application form, I saw somewhere where they asked how much she will personally spend towards her vacation. Bearing in mind that I am providing the total sponsorship, must she personally declare funds? She isn't really earning any salaries at this time, and her Pension payment has not started coming in. Let me also state that the amount that I send to her as allowance from time immemorial is shown monthly in my statement. I'd appreciate any advise. Thank you. |

Hi everyone, Please advise me: I want to apply for Standard UK Visit Visa for my mum who is now Retired. She was in the Lagos Civil Service 2 years ago. She however is a Pastor (in Ministry also). Travel reason will be Tourism for like 10-14days, and I want to fund my account with about N1m-N2m, while I have monthly income of about N750k. So, few questions: 1. Does the fund need to sit in my account for an extensive period of time before application, or I can put it few days before application. 2. Do I need to say anything about myself as the Sponsor, or provide a letter of explanation for the funds I'm providing? 3. Does she need to show any personal funding, or home ties herself since she is retired? 4. Does she need like a letter from the Organization (Ministry) where she Pastors? Your advise will be highly appreciated. OAS. |

Hi everyone, must everyone applying for UK Visa have to do an explanation of deposits into their account? even if the deposits are less than 500k? i.e. within 30k and 400k+? If yes, how does one do that? Can't there be a transaction without narration? |

Icicles: Have you checked/combed your email box, including Junk to be sure they didn't send you an email that you missed? If you can't find anything, you probably need to contact them to appeal. I'm not an authority in this area, but I just think you should contact them and table your case. |

Icicles: I don't know if someone who understands this issue has responded. What I have read, in paraphrase is: "You were sent an email in January asking if you could travel before the end of January, to which you responded but IRCC did not respond. In March, you were issued COPR, somewhere around March 18. However, your profile now reads "Documents Expired", in April?. My question is, when did you notice the Documents Expired Status? How far apart from when COPR dropped? This is to put the timeline in proper order. |

Palaexpress:We need a 1 week back-to-back Express-Entry draw to break into the 460s. Seems they are trying to maintain the score high. Just hoping Biden's time, if he gets in and the UAE's Golden VISA, would slash this high scores by spreading the influx to to these other countries. Uhhhh.... 7 Likes |

Hi pals, I created a short survey to know if Map related questions are still widely used in IELTS Listening. Please see the link in my signature. The analysis of the responses will be shared with everyone. I would be glad for recent ielts takers to respond. Thanks in advance. |

lastbornop: Here's it: First, any time a general draw is missed for a long period, a lot of people have time to join the pool, So, if we have plenty high scoring people, Most ITA recipients will be higher scores and the last score determines the draw score, which will also be high. Secondly, PNP: Theres been a lot of it lately and lots of people are high scoring -- 600pts to 100+, then the remainder that will be picked will not be from the higher scoring EE profiles. That's all. What we need is for these guys to be flushed out quickly. Also, I've seen some cases of ITA wastages; people declining ITAs and reentering the pool. They deny other people all the time. Why enter the pool when you aren't ready to apply? Finally, I think the highest it can go is 480+ from regular EE activities. That's PNP being the highest recipients and higher EE candidates being supplements. 2 Likes |

chanceux: Abi, Saskatchewan is killing the scores. They've issued over 4k nominations between September and now and those NOI recipients are in line for ITAs, and that's Sask alone, let alone adding other provinces' NOI learners. So, it's a tall order for EE people with 460s, let alone those with less. Although, the way draws flow between now and December will determine if it will drop rapidly because, NOI issued doesn't mean they will all be qualified for ITA, I think. I think the best thing is to join the people getting PNP. 2 Likes |
