Malega2k2: KEYS TO END RECESSION IN NIGERIA
1. Develop a system that blocks further lootings 2. Stop hunting and prosecuting those that have already looted.
3. Passionately appeal to them to bring back their looted fund both in and out of the country and invest in every sector of Nigeria's economy and Nigeria will boom again economically, in infrastructure and employment.
4. You will never be able to get back 10% of the looted fund from the looters. Many stack billions of dollars in their houses or hide-outs because of the hunting of EFCC and some invest in countries where they can be protected by the government.
5. There is enough money in Nigerian's possession that can attract the whole world to come to Nigeria and do business. How i wish the past govt could do 35% of what you said here . . . |

greatjoey: What could be wrong with the brains of our youth lately? Must everything be politicised? If Jonathan failed as we alleged, must we stay and watch Buhari do same? Fine, Jinathan's administration was engulfed with so much looting. This government made us believe so. The government also made us believed that a lot have been recovered from the looters of the past administration. Why borrow $29 bn when we have recovered so much from the alleged looters? Let's think and figure things out with our brains and not anus. Did Jonathan borrow when the lengendary Abacha loot was being returned? If yes, why? Talking about thinking and figuring out things with the anal brain, isn't it a standard practice for government to borrow to do projects in anticipation of future earnings that would offset the loans? |

Go and use the recovered loot, if the recovered loot is not enough, recover more, if you need any law to help spend the recovered loot, like you already using the recovered buildings, send the Bill to National Assembly, and we will approve it effective immediately. Hahaha, why borrow $29.9bn when Diezani returned $90bn?[/size]

Was there no "next generation" when Jonathan was borrowing with high oil prices? saint047: Nigeria was destroyed by the class of '66 to which Obasanjo, IBB, Abacha, Danjuma and Buhari belong. It's futile expecting them to repair it You have a point man . . . But then Buhari is still a far better option to the agbada-men in power today. obailala: N3.64tr has been seized from people under investigation but that does not mean N3.64tr is disposable income available to the govt to spend especially when the cases are all still in court. And of course, before those protracted court cases come to an end (for the money to be available), the nation still needs to move forward. Meanwhile the official statement on the funds recovered was clear on this, actual cash recovered is less than N150bn total. We must learn to read beyond catchy headlines and read the true contents of reports, else we end up confusing ourselves. http://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/06/05/keeping-his-promise-buhari-announces-recovery-of-n3-4-trillion-in-one-year/ Same People who know that conviction takes place in court but don't seem to know that returned loot has to be cleared in court. |

What manner of a government will present request to borrow $29.9billion to the senate without attaching blue prints on how the money will be spent? I thought some persons claimed the SE was excluded from the projects the loan was being prepared for. If the details of the loan isn't known, how did the SE conclude that the projects doesn't include them? Maybe the govt should prepare a Bill of Quantity (BoQ) detailing things like cements, nail, gravel and labour for the wailing senate. |

You still need a solid economic plan which is lacking. Remember, Buhari was voted to change Nigeria. He was not voted to give of excuses or to blame GEJ. As it is now, things have gone worse in his administration that's why Ify Ubah us trying to help out. You are not open enough. If with excess fund we couldn't find the capital to implement IGR boosting initiatives, tell me, is it when we are running on deficit you want Buhari alone to now start forming 7-point agenda? It takes money to make money, as long as some people are not interested in recovery of looted money, then let Buhari go on at the pace of $50pb oil price. |

So Ubah is just realizing that we have bad economic manager? When we sold oil for $120pb+ on a budget benchmark of less than $80pb and still borrowed, build no new refinery, fix old refinery or built modular refineries, he didn't realize there was bad management then. We even exhausted over $120B in forex between 2008 - 2015 and Ubah didn't see bad management. Suddenly his wisdom and 'love' for One-Nigeria has come alive when oil is going for far less. He even thinks the idea of a modular refinery is new and is trying to say Nigerians don't know about it. This man is delusional at best and parading as a grade A clown. |
