GboyegaD: Most of them were away for the summer and are just coming back. I will suggest when next you are sending your email, write to your professor of interest and copy the graduate program coordinator and departmental chair. Trust me, even if the professor is not available, both parties copied and look for a professor in your interested field and forward the email to them.
Another alternative is to keep your research interest open and broad, write to the Graduate Program Coordinator and copy the Departmental Chair and they will forward the mail to professors that may be interested.
The key here is to ensure that your mail is well detailed however, not verbose.
