rexxy09: Yes pls.I got instruction from embassy to pay tuition and board for one year and that like 70% of the money in the account. Dunno how safe this is.And I dnt want it to affect my TRV in any way.

I reapply with significant new information and documents to support my application on May 2, 2013, with a letter from my uncle expressing shock, that I do not have a traveling history very disturbing, traveling history is not in their requirements of student visa application that he visited the high commissions website countless numbers of time, and never saw previous traveling history as a condition or criteria for student visa application, he indicate that he visited their site before writing this letter and could not find a phrase suggesting that such history is required for student visa application.

In the letter my uncle was upset that his finance capacity to sponsor me has been put in Doubt.

He gives me additional document, than I included my account statement and additional document to proof my financial ability,


you need significant new information and documents to support your application that's all

revolt: pplied in April got denied on 1st August! I'm jes gettin to find out on this forum that sponsorship by an uncle is sure denial! I shul hve seen this b4 den. Though my agents warned me I took the gamble , my fear now is if a denial would affect my re application? I dnt wanna collect the tuition refund yet but the prog is for next year Sept if defered, I intend to apply in Jan @least thts wht my agent advised

.... big misinformation.... who told u sponsorship by Uncle is sure denial.... if ur agent told u that.... hin no sabi wetin hin dey talk.... and whoever told u that on this forum needs to read the forum better....

Bro... ur denial based on financial reasons as nothing to do with ur Sponsor been ur Uncle.... u can reapply with same Uncle and ensure u secure an Affidavit of support to back his claims up of sponsoring u.... some of these refusals are mere excuses by VOs... dont let anyone lie to u that Uncle or Sponsor having different last name is sure denial... Na lie.....

As its late here in 9ja I shld be sleeping but this ish won't let. I was thinking if we the students maybe 3-5 of us could get a conference call thru to the school letting em know how this is a very big issue which might delay or affect the trv. I guess they wouldn't wna lose such number of students but with this kinda reply she said to you its like they don't even really care that much.

kjbobo: I dont think they care at all cos today I called the International centre of my school that I was ready to pay my acceptance fee(just$100) and all she said was I cant pay until I am given TRV...Now this is interesting cos I was given over 20k as funding and they are not ready to receive $100

Onye oma: And I guess it might be very risky to get the school bank account details from a student that paid tuition to the school and drop the money in their account because they can deny that they didn't get any payment from the person.

And the worst aspect of it is that before such policy could be changed, there must a meeting by the Committee in charge which might take some time...and time is running out...

PlayPays: Sir Siga, you didn't reply my post and after that I checked again her(Melissa) mail there was an attachement on it a paragraph saying 'You must arrive in Canada and obtain a valid study permit before you can make any tuition' now that got me confused after reading from her the estimate of 1st year plus housing as I requested that I wna make payment of it all on expectancy of trv.
I should contact again to confirm.

Onye oma: An idea came to my mind...
What about writing a "SOLEMN DECLARATION OF COMMITMENT" stating 1)that you're aware of the consequences of not paying tuition fees
2)That you can't do otherwise as its against the policy of ur school
3)That since its in ur school's policy to accept payment after TRV has been issued, you'll pay as soon as you get ur TRV before arriving @ the Canadian POE
4)That in line with the above, the money has been transferred into ur account for tuition fee payment(evidence of transfer of tuition fee into ur account)
5)That you hold this declaration to be true to the best of your knowledge in accordance to the oath act 1990
Then go to a notary public and notarize it...
NB: Also attach the mail from the school stating what you wrote on the affidavit (they don't accept tuition fee payment before issuance of TRV)
We can work out something based on the above write-up to arrive @ an acceptable solution.

Onye oma: Oga Siga, thank you very much for ur selfless efforts in helping us in our respective efforts and struggles for the purpose of travelling to Canada.

What I deduce from the most recent development @ CDHC concerning payment of tuition esp to Keyano College is that some students (maybe Nigerians) might have abused that privilege in the past and they wish to use this measure to check them.

For the school to have sent them mail concerning their policy and they still went ahead to pressure the applicant to pay his tuition fee, something must have happened that prompted to such action...

Though I believe that there must always be a way out...

PlayPays: That must be Merrigan same officer I spoke to and she gave me options for payment. I posted some advice earlier so peeps of schools with such policy can try it and there's a guy that embassy threatened that they will close his app if he doesn't find a way to make tuition even after the school mailed em of their policy, I guess the guy has been able to figure out what to do but he hasn't been back since his last post, I'm sure aint d only one waiting to read from him as his solution will help others.

richard4ssky: Ok thanks so much for the advice, yes the school insist on about 60% of tuition fees and I want to no if in the affidavit of support I should state that I have made 60% of tuition and also state when I am going to make the remaining balance payment of 40% of the tuition fees. Your advice is needed on this issue sir.....
