Prof Siga, I support u. I doubt if d airline will even sell ticket to d person if he/she does not hav US transit visa. I hav experienced it.

GboyegaD: It isn't 100% confirmed but what I have always learnt is if you are transiting on an airline, then the airline would do the necessary to ensure you are allowed to. It is better we read through the US policies on transiting though.

kjbobo: Oga Siga...to buttress your point...a friend said even if you make it down to the U.S you will be deported at the airport....one of the reasons given is their local isnt well demarcated from their international airport. ..so people can exit into the U.S.

Please I need your help on how to go about my accom issue..going to Lethbridge..but yet to meet anyone on forum going there.My school put a link of Lanlords and accom types off-campus with their numbers. How reliable is this or will you advise I get there first?Because even If get my TRV before 26th Aug resumption date...can't leave before then...need to tidy up some things. .thanks in anticipation of your response.

GboyegaD: No you don't have to. The only thing is you may not be able to go out of the airport. The good side of Seattle Tacoma is that is is big and busy so you can't be that bored while there.

I have been searching for flight going to fort mcmurray,Alberta.I was able to get United Airline but it will transit at Houston(USA),and New york(USA). how long and easy does it take to get a USA transit visa. OR
should I book a flight to Edmonton,then when i reach there,i will book to fort mcmurray.Thanks all for your assistance

Gymme: @all, I was asked to pay for one year tuition and board. I gat a little prob wit board ooo. †нє sch's housing is filled and tried gettin at kijiji and ROMS BC but the landlords said they wud love to see me face to face b4 they can accept any form of payment frm me.
CDHC gave me 28th to return †нє tuition and board receipts. Help @all!!!

I was dicussing abt sublet wit a student about 2 weeks ago, we agreed on price then she asked when will I come n check d house. Onece I told her am still in naija....the lady stopped talking to me even tho the room won't be available until september.

dommakavelli: I've collected my passport from VFS.. My medic came with a condition to pay tuition and boarding b4 22nd of august. Although, I've paid my full tuition b4 I applied n I included the receipt in my application.

My problem is I don't think I can secure an on campus accommodation within that 2 weeks even if I'll get a space cos I learnt the hostels are full already.

It is clearly written on d sch website that there's limited hostel accommodation for graduate student. Hence they advice grad student to organise an off campus accommodation.


Meanwhile, if I choose to go for an off campus accommodation, the landlords are not willing to talk to students that are still abroad because it is peak period( fall semester). N even if am lucky to get one within that 2 weeks. I don't think it is advisable to pay such amount of money to sum1 I've neva met as the school has strictly warned against paying to landlords without seeing the property.


However, this are my tots.

1. To write a letter to CDHC, explaining that d hostels r fully booked n I plan to stay off campus. N because d landlords prefer to speak to pple in Canny already, I plan to go a week or two weeks early n stay in d hotel till i find off campus accommodation of my taste.
I'll make a hotel reservation to show that I actually have a place to stay for those two weeks while I search for d accommodation.

2. I'll apply for an on-campus accommodation (if the sch accept my application) while they put me on d waiting list because am sure they won't allocate a room b4 22nd of august.

Then, I'll submit my application fee receipt, n a letter from the sch dat am on the waiting list.
Then, I'll book a 2-3 weeks hotel reservation.

What do you all think about this....please come to my aid @ mr siga, mr phemmy, earthgreeners gboyega, et all
