yung_sage100: Canada is one of the best countries to learn a trade such as plumbing, welding and so on.the job opportunities for tradesperson(journeyman) is ever increasing and the know-how and technology deployed is outstanding. The problem is trades/technical courses takes a long time to break into due to its practicality and for this reason int'l students are at a disadvantage. From the little research I have done the foreign students studying technical courses in canadian colleges came into canada through one of the workers skilled program (which is an option u can try) and they enroll into college to update their skills.... U have a valid point but not necessarily correct about foreign Students studying technical courses are workers that came in through the skilled worker program.... I can tell u that we had one Nairalander last year that came in with a Student Visa to study Welding.... he is schooling in Ontario here but I cant remember the school... if I search my emails I may be able to pick him out.... if I do I will let u guys know...infact he got his visa with his sponsor's acct less than N3m... I was shocked.... |
Frontpage plz.... those wey talk say somethin cant be hacked... una see so... nothing is invincible onc eu are on the internet... sorry Zucker Zucker.. |
A Palestinian researcher posted a message on Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's page last week after he says the site's security team didn't take his warnings about a security flaw seriously. "First, sorry for breaking your privacy and post(ing) to your wall," wrote Khalil Shreateh. "I (have) no other choice to make after all the reports I sent to (the) Facebook team." Shreateh, who describes himself as an unemployed security researcher with a degree in information systems, said he found a hole in Facebook's systems that let him post to any user's page, including users not on his Friends list. Such an exploit would be a virtual gold mine for spammers, scam artists and others seeking to take advantage of the site's roughly 1 billion users worldwide. On his blog, Shreateh posted a series of e-mails he said were exchanged between him and Facebook security. After the first one, a Facebook employee responded that the link he attached was bad. Shreateh had included a post -- an Enrique Iglesias video -- he says he posted on the page of a woman who went to college with Zuckerberg. He speculated that Facebook's security team couldn't see it because they weren't on her Friends list. Facebook responded to his second message to say the issue he was reporting was not a bug. His response: "ok that mean(s) I have no choice other than report this to mark himself on facebook." Needless to say, that got their attention. Facebook says the flaw was fixed on Thursday. But over the weekend the episode began making headlines on tech blogs. On the Hacker News website, Facebook security team member Matt Jones wrote that the language barrier with Shreateh, who is not a native English speaker, and the volume of reports the site receives were partly to blame for the site's slow response. "Unfortunately, all he submitted was a link to the post he'd already made (on a real account whose consent he did not have) ... saying that 'the bug allow facebook users to share links to other facebook users,' " Jones wrote. "For background, as a few other commenters have pointed out, we get hundreds of reports every day. Many of our best reports come from people whose English isn't great -- though this can be challenging, it's something we work with just fine and we have paid out over $1 million to hundreds of reporters." Because he violated Facebook's terms of service by hacking the pages of other users, Shreateh is not eligible to receive a reward under the site's White Hat program designed to find and fix bugs. Shreateh, who says he has been looking for work for two years, lives in the Palestinian city of Yatta, where the unemployment rate is officially 30% and believed to actually be higher. "I could sell (information about the flaw) on the black (hat) hackers' websites and I could make more money than Facebook could pay me," he said in an interview with CNN. "But for me -- I am a good guy. I don't deal with the black (hat) stuff." In hacker circles, "white hat" is a term for people who report exploits they find so they can be fixed, while "black hat" often refers to people who hack to take advantage of those exploits. He acknowledged hoping his tip would lead to a reward from Facebook. "I never asked them, 'I want $4,000 or $5,000'," he said. "I didn't deal with them like that ... . (But) I really needed that money." Jones acknowledged that the security team should have asked Shreateh for more information. "I have to admit that I have some sympathy with Facebook on this issue," security analyst Graham Cluley wrote on his blog. "Although he was frustrated by the response from Facebook's security team, Shreateh did the wrong thing by using the flaw to post a message on Mark Zuckerberg's wall." He would have been better served returning to Facebook's security team with more evidence and further explaining it or, if that didn't work, taking the information to a technology journalist to report, Cluley said. http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/19/tech/social-media/zuckerberg-facebook-hack/index.html?hpt=hp_t3

d jay: Hello good people of this forum 1st of I would want to apologise for my absence on the forum as waiting for CIC final decesion can make one numb particularly someone like me, knowing my application developed k leg during processing but the good news is on friday d 16th CIC hornerd God and my visa was handed to me that day I cried softly , I think it was tears of joy perhaps because 2weeks prior to that day I received my package from vfs init my application was closed and I was refused but in the package my intl pasport, full board+ skl fees receipt & letter from my sponsors lawyer standing as source of income as she dint ave a credible proof for source of income but she had enuf fund, all this was not in my package recevied from vfs. Let me take us back during call 4 medicals I was askd to provide these documents that was not in my package recevied from vfs moreso I was given 30days to provide them,If siga can rember I mailed him on his opinion as regards what is my best option as regard sponsors source of income since my sponsor lacked d required docs specified by CIC he sugestted a letter from a laywer would do. Tuale!! Oga Siga ur idea paid off. Now 30day has elapsed and I had not provided the docs infact it was until anoda 30days that I was able to provide the docs my application was closed on the 30th of july and the suporting docs got to CIC on the 1staug am sure dat was why d supporting docs and intl passprt was not in my closed appltn....now back to we're we we're after I recived d closed apllictn 4rm VFS as suggested by a vfs staffs and mr Wammi whom I met at VfS office d day his visa was approved after his 2nd trial encouraged me to hit CIC when I got there filled d form was askd 2 come in well to cut long stry short that day they explaind futhr more why my app was closed and that I should reaplly then gave me my pasrt and odr docs then almost instantly she got a call and she calld me bk in and collectd my docs bak and told me in 2wks dey would get bk 2 me which dey did on fri with d good news of stamped visa ..Thank God 4 me u guys ,thank u all 4 ur support, we are family in here. But my main question is this, will the university B give me admission for a course whose start date is by fall during the winter and if NO, what can I be doing till fall 2014 when d program @ university B will commence.... it depends on the course....once u get the school u wanna go.... call the admissions office and ask them when they will start accepting apps for the session of ur choice.... they will be the best to answer u when to apply.... As per wat u can do till the school session starts in fall 2014.... una...ur choice... anything u want bro... no one needs to tell u this.... |

xtus: @oga siga, if person come to canada with university of A and decide to change to university of B but the desire course for university of B will be in fall 2014. Since the person is in canada already, can the person still apply to university of B for that same program and be given admission to start for winter instead of fall since d person is applying from canada....u can do as u wish bro.... ensure u have a valid permit and when u start ur program at University B.... send an extension form to Immiga to cover ur new school.... |
