my brother thats just it, everything about the academy can naturally make tensed, jogging from one point to another, sitting in the sun etc, the shakarine in that their useless tea can even raise your bp,but am sure dem dash some people bp to make way for special candidates.
lol I’ll never be caught off guard again! It’s me and them this time! I’m even tired of journeying to Kaunda to go to that same academy to the same faces! I’m trying Dssc this year

just pray because must bp issues in the last ssc was a major yardstick for screening candidates, dem go just dash you bp meanwhile you re not a bp patient.
i witnessed it first hand! I left nda to the center outside the academy and my bp was 120! I just shake head

mhen bro if you are relying on merit, I’d still advice you to try Ssc! Cos I can still say for 45/46 I met a lot of people who got shortlisted on pure merit! Make sire to u fill the form well writing the required height and size etc!! Who knows! I’m also trying Dssc this year but mhen, I understand the level of godfatherism that goes towards that Dssc alone!

So what do u advice then? My school doesn't exist anymore, what advice can u give me??
id advice you get one from a school but make sure they give you an authentic FSLC
You would have to pay for it. That one will include putting your name with the school and the state government as well. I also had the same issue as I left primary in p4!! I went back 3 years ago to see the proprietor, I was lucky he remembered me and they asked me to pay 8k for it! So I got it issued by the state government with the schools name written on it! I was also given a testimonial by the school

Lol. Maybe it's because u leta heard dat BP usually eliminates people.

Do like dis, time around b4 u enter camp, start now to avoid any processed food, salty foods and fried foods, stay away from milk (if u want take milk use soya milk instead, has soya milk has proven to help in reducing d blood's viscosity), test for typhoid n treat it if d test comes out positive as typhoid do raise BP, stay hydrated (drink like 3 sachets of pure water after coming back from early morning exercise).

Den a week b4 resuming, take fish oil.

I will b here to congratulate u
Thank you bro! I’ll be here to congratulate you too

Please i want to ask a question, can i get a primary school testimonial and certificate from another school? The reason being is that back then i entered secondary school from primary 5 cause my school then took few students from primary 5 and added them to primary 6 and i wasn't included. Presently, the school doesn't exist anymore and it was a private school.
you can collect, but the army will go there to verify! So it better be legit

my own “tensed up” was village people because I’ve gone for the screening for 45 and I wasn’t tense... na 46 I don go tense and they didn’t do bp review for me at all! They did for some of my village men like 4 times... I was there thinking no review no problems! Then villagers came for me

Hello Sir

Please I Need An Answer To This Question. During SSC Registration, Would I Upload My NYSC Discharge Certificate?

Reason I'm Asking This Is Because, I'm Due To Pass Out By October And I Fear That The SSC Registration May Commence Anytime Soon, And That I May Not Partake Without My Discharge Certificate. (I Don't Know If It Would Be Required For Online Registration Or Not).

So In Other Not To Get My Hopes Up, I Want To Know If The NYSC Discharge Certificate Would Be Required For Registration During Online Registration Or Later.

Please Answer, Thanks.
yes bro it’s required and to be honest, if there’s no delay and the form comes out by August, you’d maybe have to try next year

So there are rumors that the Vice Presidents committee wish to suspend the nysc camping for 2 years!
If you are already 27 and this thing takes effect, you might not be able to join the military because of that silly law

Army really followed through with all these their verifications!!! My friend who’s getting ready to pass out in Dssc said the army called b is next of kin to follow them to his village to see the king!! So what about most of us that has never travelled home! It’s going to be a huge clusterfuck

Hey guys! I can't remember where I read it but it seems there's something guys take during screening to reduce HBP? Anyone remember what it is?
if you have high bp, you shouldn’t be applying to be honest! You can fool around and pass medicals!! But will you keep taking it during training?

It even seem as if they purposely neglects those with professional certs for those that don't have because some of the guys I know who made it have no professional certification. but like you said there are situation that may come up and they might be left to choose btw someone that have or don't have professional certification most definitely they'll go for the former.
My advice to people is that if they have the opportunity to get it they should, it is better to be over qualified so that one will be in a better position to consolidate his/her place. Even if one has a godfather it will only make his job easier.
Moreover things do change, the board for screening may decide to follow the rules to the latter, or they may overlook it just like previous boards to be on a safe side it's better to get one and have peace of mind with regards to that aspect.
spot on sir! They better continue the way they are doing Cos nobody had $400 to do CompTIA security + course!

I would advise u to apply for DSSC, if u perform very well during d interview n age is on ur side, you Will b given SSC.

In DSSC, some medical issues are usually ova looked, like having a bp of 130 (systolic)
lol people were offered Ssc for course 45 Cos the turn up was very low! Some states had less than 10 that resumed screening. At that time, ondo state has just 18 that reported.. some south south states had 3/5 that’s why they offered many Dssc guys Ssc... it doesn’t usually happen

Now to the Ogas in the house, @Ugo4U, @Sikowitz17, @Prospect048. Abeg I get some questions wey I need to Clarify Sha..

(1) Let's say I applied for DSSC Under the Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (NAEME) corps, and I got lucky to make it to the Training.. Is there any chance of me getting Posted to another Corp apart from the One I registered Under during Registration ??

(2) (a) As for the Professional Membership Certificate Palava wey DSSC dey request for, I'd like to ask some questions oo. Shey me that I am an Engineering graduate now, Am I to Collect the NSE (Nigerian Society of Engineers) Membership Certificate Or that of my Actual Course (which is Metallurgical Society of Nigeria, MSN)??
(b) I hope a Graduate Membership is enough coz that's all I can get from either bodies since I just graduate 2017 and I never get 4 years Practical Experience to upgrade to other Membership Cadre
1. Army will post you to wherever they deem fit to post you!
2. Professional certifications are just to give you an edge! It’s not a must to have it! But in a situation where they have to pick between you and somebody who does, they might pick the person but I can assure you a lot of applicants don’t have most of these certifications

I have a question for those who have been through this stuff pls answer sincerely, for I really need to enlightened.

1. Want to apply for education corps, I have a degree in Mathematics Education but have not been issued the TRCN certificate(although exam hav written d exam) as its the professional certification for educationist in Nigeria. How do I go about it. ...?

2. Had an accident, I have scar on my bodies especially arms and knees.. is it going to be a challenge...?
so last year, people got selected and they didn’t even have TCRN...so it might result to telling the board you already wrote the exam if you make it that far... and for the scars, they majorly look for surgery and deep injury scars...scars in the hands and knees might not be a problem! But stomach and on very important parts of the body might be an issue...besides I have scars by the side of both my legs and they’ve never been noticed the two times I’ve screened..

I have always wanted to ask dis question, I have a hole in tooth (molar) which I filled and a cracked incisor which is only visible when light is used to check it.

Will dat disqualify during medicals?
The only thing they usually do is hit different corners of the teeth with a dental stick to see if the teeth is paining you. That’s what they’ve done both times I went and you usually spend less than 20-30 seconds in the chair so to answer your question, they probably won’t even notice it
