I got a question, the 3.2km u talking about that u must finish within 18minutes, is it compulsory u get there before that time and if u don't make it, would that be used against u?
You can make it in 1hr if you want but if you make it in 18, you'd be awarded marks and classified as first cage...there's second cage for I think 20 minutes and then the other cage for whatever time you come...so yes the scores would be against you. In a month with extensive working out, I'll be back to my 3.20kms in 14/15 minutes.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by sikowitz17: 7:59am On Jun 01, 2020
So I spoke with a friend of mine that's currently in SSC training last week trying to know if there's any inside information about if there'd be any enlistment this year. He said he's not sure but there's rumors that regulars would soon start their exams and screening and that they are in camp kura now, a major told them last week that the army has a 15 year plan to double the size of its officers... His words not mine.
So I'm hopeful that the forms would be released in a couple of months but I'm just too lazy to get back in shape.. my 3.2kms that I was binning in 14 minutes now takes me about 17..plus lockdown gave me a bigger stomach and I'm not proud of it...

"Mistakes" or requirements that don't meet army standard isn't the only criteria used. Even if everybody meets the requirements they can't select everyone this is where prayers comes into play, cos it's like raffle draw, if you're lucky the lots will fall on you. Give or take it boils down to chance.
bro would you be applying again?

Please i have a question which i'm not too sure of, what does this mean "Only post secondary academic credentials obtained from 2010 to date will be considered." You know we learn everyday, can someone kindly explain this to me cause to my own knowledge i feel its talking about waec or neco result obtained from that date till now.
post secondary means after secondary...simply means your University degree should have been issued from 2010 and above... They dont want somebody bringing degree from 2009 downwards

God no go shame us...
Make machine no bin our application because we write wrong height lol
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by sikowitz17: 9:56pm On May 31, 2020
ugo4u:
Brother, the "machine" isn't a scam, actually the system have being programmed to automatically bin applications that don't meet their criteria atleast at face value i.e height requirements, disabilities, class of degree, course of study etc
It's difficult or almost impossible to scale through if one's course of study isn't listed except the person has backing. Note, I met people at Ibadan whose courses weren't listed, most of them received text messages to join up, some where outrightly told to join up by a godfather.
How do you think it is possible for them to manually screen over 100k+ applications under a month? The navy also uses similar method to shortlist people for their written exams.
the boss has spoken

i never knew SSC is the best option if u want to further, felt its dssc but thank you, we learn everyday. Psychology is among the courses listed in dssc which i'm sure of, so are u trying to say that going for dssc u won't have time for masters or there won't be opportunity. My knowledge about SSC is that there are full time combatant and dssc is administrative works. Also looking at my age is another thing, i'm going to be 27 by December and SSC needs younger people why dssc is kinda okay for older people.
if psychology is listed for dssc, please apply dssc..what people don't know is dssc is actually very easy with promotions, covertions etc..you just fill a form to convert to drc and even for promotion too unlike SSC that'll be everywhere doing everything.
Doe dssc has its own tanatious moments as well but one thing that changed my mind was course 46 screening when the brigadier general in charge of us said if he'll come back to this life, he'll join army...but he would never choose SSC again... he'll go for DSSC..I began to backtrack and think..I'm especially done with applying for SSC...

In other news, one if those very calm lieutenant Colonels that screened us in November died this week in a car accident...he wasn't even driving..the car reversed and hit him...would post details and pictures here soon..if you screened SSC 46, you'll know him immediately..... SSC guys will remember him

This one u pushing me to ssc, abeg i no do based on all the comments have seen about it i prefer dssc but if i get pushed to SSC no problem, if that's God's plan for me. I studied psychology, would love to further more especially in forensic but if i go for ssc, i wont be able to but let me watch and see till then.
the fact that you don't know that youll read more books especially for SSC shows that you need to ask more questions...captain to major promotion, go and ask the amount of books you'll read..major ango confirmed this at the screening last November...and you'll need to keep studying and keep going for courses...masters is sure for SSC...you will do it and more...I'm not saying you should go for SSC my own Is what if the board president for dssc asks you where you saw psychology before you applied...what would be your reply? Or something happens and they have to consider between you that studied psychology and someone that actually has a listed course...just know that connections fail...if you are assured that the string will be pulled for you fine...but if you go In there with half a string..it's painful waiting for another set ooo..I had to wait after course 45...seeing my friends that we screened together pass out...46 now... seeing my friends that we screened together training...it hurts so it you know you can take the risk...go ahead...but I still insist that if your course isn't listed, apply for SSC.

would have preferred SSC but my age, gonna be 27 by December
in November, men of like 32 came...it was obvious they were overage but they uncarefully reduced age...at the end of it all, the boar Dm secretary just told them to go and swear an avidavit at the gate...I think the age limit for SSC is 28... so if the forms are released, you can still apply since you’ll still be 27 by screening time.

I have some questions to ask:
1) concerning my primary school, i left in primary 5 and i wasn't given any certificate or testimonial but presently the school doesn't exist anymore, what can i do? The school is in Lagos tho
2) i plan on using waec GCE when the time comes but its only the printed copy i have, do i still need to go to waec office to get certificate or no problem?
3) is it compulsory the person to fill my reference form must be from my state?
4) it it compulsory the two forms i.e reference form must be filled all?
1...the ministry of Education in will issue you one if you present a testimonial... I got mine from Ogun state after paying like 18k I think

2.. it might not be acceptable cos they take the original for waec... they need it to be able to prove your age..except you are using neco

3..they really don’t check maybe until board.. you wouldn’t want to get to the bored and the. Somebody notices this...bad start

4the must be filled as you’ll submit copies immediately you enter the gate

it's best to just apply for SSC to avoid stories that touch later If your age is still Intact..butnif your godfather says do dssc...adios papi

Is it wise for someone to apply for DSSC without any professional certificate?

I applied for the first time last year SSC and was shortlisted, but was given hbp, hoping to apply this year, but not sure of which one is better.

What is the highest rank someone with DSSC can attain I service and that of SSC
lol instead of you to secure entry, yoh are asking for highest rank attainable...there's no playbook to this thing...you can be dssc and be a major general and be SSC and dropped at captain/major..
People got into dssc without any professional certifications last time so it basically just adds to youe chances or not...if your course is advertised and you think dssc is okay apply...if not, go for SSC again

Please can one apply for ssc and dssc cause I saw some names that appeared on the ssc list and also dssc list for screening
ideally you can if you use somebody else's bvn but if you make it to training and you are caught, somebody here shared a story of how his friend was caught cos he was listed on both and he was dismissed from training..plus it's better to apply for one and allow some other person make the list... it's best to not be selfish Sha...just apply for one and if it's yours, you'll get it.

I know plenty of this SSC guys that don't know anybody but where successful, some sef no even gree resume training.
I met one Oyo candidate at Ibadan the guy done nearly turn Methuselah grin for army enlistment almost 10yrs of buying form before God picked his call last year which would have being his last attempt due to age. Infact the guy don already give up cos of the 30yrs age limit before Army added extra 2yrs.

Exactly, Security agencies where excluded from recruitment suspension.
It's left for the individual agencies(Security) to recruit/enlist at their own discretion.
Someone told me about a memo concerning enlistment yesterday but didn't really believe his source. Since another person(you) is mentioning it hopefully there is a ray of hope.

It will be by God's Grace, due to d COVID19 pandemic, Nigeria decided to slice their annual budget, n deres a huge decline in d price of crude oil. It even recorded $0.01 per barrel some weeks ago (although it has risen to $25 per barrel as of yesterday's stat).

Deres a huge possibility dat d may b no recruitment dis year, who knows wen vaccines for d virus will b ready?

It all falls back on prayers n faith sha. Let's keep d hope alive!
it'll Dawn on Nigeria and the world soon that corona is here to stay stkeast till a vaccine comes in play..the military hasn't stopped any of their activities for now as officers and men are still serving..they might just recruit cos its no story that the military especially the army needs officers...you should know by now that if Nigeria needs money, they'd get it...as the Barrell of oil went below 1$ did they drop paying senators salaries? Some money was already allocated to fund the budget...and of all the things that'd be ignored...i dont think defence will...
