I have similar script some devs here on nairaland had purchased from me in the past now I want to separate it and make it a fully brokerage webscript

I have juniors that can do the work in few days they are all busy with other work because of time frame I wanted to work with newbie here

I pay people learning from me and you think I can't pay someone that did a work for me

I didn't mention money coz I know that alot of wack devs here will rush to secure the spot that they can't even do

So far some devs had already chat me up

While some are much interested in money I will pay while some thinks I want to run with there frontend work the funny thing is that most of you guys don't even know I do full stack

I have someone that is already working on the frontend already .

For those that came and was afraid that I might run away with there work and those after how much money , next time before u hop in to anything or request to chat

Always read the terms I made my self clear
And if u think that am trying to exploit anybody read and move on , because most of you guys here bashing me of trying to exploit someone are just discouraging the one that are serious

No wonder for years now no programming contest had be going on this section

When I was starting new I met alot of devs from here who are doing better and don't have time to visit this section now

A worked with alot of them , we exchanged codes , libraries and alot of things without requesting for pin

Almost all the testers and contributors for dhtml18 website then were all from this section , did apps and alot of things without requesting for one naira

Am not saying that young or new devs should get paid for there work

But too much love of money is the main issue most devs will never progress well in this field

A developers main focus is to solve problems not actually money

I rest my case someone is working on the front end already thanks to every one that showed interest so far

My own is learn CSS very well before any framework

This way u will know what u actually want from a framework

Bootstrap and etc of them are all good but I normally use w3.css

The most neglected department in any sector

Well thats the work am doing but was sack

Mine was in a bank the pay is 31k but there will be increment this month i ve work there for years

There was fire outbreak in that same bank last year and i was one of those who make sure they stop the fire

We stopped the fire before the fire service dept came me and 3 other guys a security and 2 drivers. This bank till today didnt appreciate us but rush to give federal and state fire dept 100k each

In this same bank
A religional complainant has pushed a pregnant lady who happens to be a customer care service attendent and nothing happen

But i was asked to stop work because i accosted a girl who tresspassed into the bank premises on Saturday thats not a work day

They didn't even know if the girl is a criminal or a spy but they asked me to stop work

I thank God cause i wont do that work forever

Currently am learning programming course

But it painful how this people don't regard security guards in this country

Don't get me wrong, PHP can do lots of stuff but building complex network applications in PHP is complex and convulated. I mention a chat app as an example in my last post,which is a straight forward thing to do in JavaScript and Nodejs or Golang.
I am not talking about features in programming languages (I am saying this because you mentioned asyn) I am taking about language capabilities!
I still use PHP till date because some clients codebase. Some other times, I write cms from scratch because I don't like to use wordpress for certain good reasons though I know how to use wordpress well. When it comes to building apps that respond to network calls instantaneously, I look to using Golang or Nodejs,it it's kind of app that are becoming the norm today. If for example, I want to rewrite nairaland, features I will add include automatic notification,one to one chat, group chat and the likes, these features are easier implemented in say Nodejs than trying to use PHP for such.
Lastly see programming languages as tools and use the best tool that fit the job. Don't be among those that argue blindly about best language, choose the tool necessary for the job.

i use what is best for the work but most times aloy of devs dont get deep into a language before talking shit about it

any u mentioned valid reasons it showed u know the real purpose of been a programmer

This is just marketing! First PHP is not the best server side language! I start my programming journey with PHP since 2012 and it was very interesting then. But then part of PHP weakness is it inability to handle network properly. In simple terms,try build a simple chat app with laravel and see how difficult it is. Do the same with Nodejs and also python if you are polyglot programmer who can write in different languages. It is easier to develop such kind of app with Go,Nodejs, WebAssembly,than PHP.
Let me say that if you want to be a truly successful software developer, see programming languages as tools,learn different language for what they can most effectively.

I bet you that u haven't used php7 coz if u do you will know that it will be matter of choice between php or JavaScript or python


I prefer php 7 or 8 to nodejs and python

Am proficient in both php , node Js and python

Before u start shouting can php do async , one page app , restful and etc

Take ur time and see that from php7 it is a bit hard at one look to tell which code is php or js

Infact apart from the await , every other stuff in js is also in php and even more better

I prefer php with react js

And I prefer to teach a newbie with js coz it is easier to breed a bad programmer with php

Am not saying that php is the best but not as bad as u guys dey portrait it

My first 4years am very sure I didn't make up to 1million in total from programming I have other business I use to support myself but I had passion for it

But now am making cool cash from programming , it comes with experience and steady learning , improving and etc

Programming / coding is one of the most stressful job on earth nobody will tell u this

If u can't read and understand , sit down for one place more than 10hours

And if u are coming to make million under a month abeg shift to yahoo not programming

Real programmers don't have time to enjoy the money they make coz we enjoy solving problem the money is kind of reward that motivates us
