All I can see here is a weak man that allows his bossom friend to play on his intelligence. How can you be playing game with your friend with the ladies you intend getting married to? They will all fall the reason is because your friend knows everything about you, your weakness and your strength so therefore, he is using your weakness to lure them to his bed. To ever think that you CV ame out with a first class is befuddling. Young man, you are a slowpoke. |

Fineman2: My name is Dora.
I am 35 years old and everybody keeps reminding me that age is no longer on my side.
My fiance and I have been dating for more than one year and we are getting married soon.
My fiance is 40 years old and he has never been married.
The relationship was really good when we started but now that our wedding is in a few weeks time, he has shown how controlling he can be.
From the choice of the wedding dress, to the bridesmaids selection, to the colour of the day, he wants to be in charge.
He also wants his mum to buy the cloth for our engagement as well as buy our wedding ring.
He does whatever his family says without seeking my opinion and it almost seems as if I am not the one getting married.
I told my parents about how this makes me feel and they just asked me to endure because I am getting older but I really fear for what is going to happen after the wedding.
Are these not red flags I should run from?
I am confused, please advise me. Nothing will happen in the marriage my dear. In his own eyes, he believes that he his doing you a huge favor by getting married to you because, he thinks that age is no longer on your side so therefore, you cannot be chooser. Wait and allow him and his family to conclude with the marriage of a thing and then, you will let him know that it is the woman that owns the house not the man. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: My Experience With A Lady I Hired And Fired Last Week by silverx(m): 9:01pm On May 22, 2023 |
EmekaStanley: I hired a lady last week Monday and fired her on Friday same week. I concluded she was not ready yet.
This lady came almost 2 hours late for interview without communicating her reason. If she was going to be late, she should inform the interviewer. Red flag.
I ignored that and decided to proceed with the interview. I decided not to conclude on her based on the interview outcome. I love giving people chances.
I offered her the job, she was excited. She was sent an offer letter which she accepted. On resumption date, this lady came late for work. First day at work. I was like 'Is this 24 year old lady innocently naïve or what?".
On Friday last week, this lady came to work by 10.55am. He work time is 8.00am, and she is an office admin. I was on my seat and sighted her walking in, I had to call her and told her to go back home, and that was it.
By the way, she lives like 15 minutes away from the office, and her route is always against traffic.
I wouldn't know when she resumed from Tuesday to Thursday because I came quite late on those days due to field engagements. When I resumed, I met her sleeping twice. After that, she abandoned her work and stepped out to answer a phone call for almost 1 hour.
My experience with this lady made me understand that a lot of people looking for work are not ready for/to work.

Romance › Re: I Want To Marry Her But Discovered This Thing by silverx(m): 10:21am On May 15, 2023 |
lovediehatelive: I met this pretty homely girl sometimes ago.
She was reluctant the first time I toasted her and won't want to date me. However, I persisted till she succumbed.
She's everything I want in a lady. She didn't want to visit me when we started dating until one day I promised that I won't touch her.
She visited and was so graceful that I thanked the heavens for sending my soul mate to me.
We discussed a bit and I made her feel comfortable because she was really uneasy.
As promised, I didn't touch her. She felt so free that she rested her head on my chest.
The urge to kiss her became so strong, but I resisted.
What's the use of spoiling things now when she can be mine forever?
She later left and we became really close from then.
I was happy because she's madly beautiful yet so down to earth.
I was thinking she is a virgin but I needed to clarify.
So one day, I used talk to bring talk and stylishly told her a bit about some rough life of my past for her to feel uncomfortable.
She later opened up to me about her first kiss and how the guy went on to have sex with her even though he promised her nothing will happen.
She was 19 years then.
Since then she stopped visiting guys and is no longer in contact with the guy.
She swore that she hasn't kissed or had sex since then.
Now she's 23.
The thing is I really deeply love this girl because she's just exactly what I needed. But I promise myself that I will marry a virgin and nothing else.
My love for this girl is beginning to affect my thinking.
Should I ditch her and keep looking for a virgin?
Or should I continue with her?
I'm planning to see her people this December. Mr poster, are you are a virgin? |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Bad Day: I Fell From Ladder Today While Doing House Painting by silverx(m): 2:12pm On May 11, 2023 |
Blossommind: I want to share what could have landed me in death or in a disfigured state but God said NO, having seen that I only came to hustle for my daily bread. There are cases of this type that people don't live to testify. I shall not die before my time.
Note: please I dont know how to write without errors and as I am in an unstable state now. So apology to English teachers and students in advance if you see errors. I'm a product of evening school.
First of all, I am a hustler and I have this strong desire to become a better person in life despite my background. 30+, father of two who still went back to school to study for a degree for the sake of the future, which is also putting additional pressure on me.
I do house painting and farming. So I got this small painting work that could have help me earn some money which I really needed it, thus, I grabbed it with joy. A one story building. It is one side of the house, given to me by the main contractor. Everything was going fine until at some point when i shifted the ladder to another position, put a stopper at the base so that the ladder won't slip. Everything looked good just like l have been doing all the while before I climbed it. While still climbing far up with a bucket of paint and long roller on my left hand, suddenly, the ladder slipped backwardly and with speed like siooooooooooood....... (like in a second or two) till it crashed landed. You know that kind sioooood sound. Meanwhile, I can't explain when the paint left my hand back to the ground and when I also left the ladder without even knowing, on free fall until I crash landed too. There was nothing to hold or anyway to help myself to land well. Chai, may we not die while looking for our daily bread. That was how I landed on my back roughly and hit the head on the wall. Chai, come and see me in this condition, no how you won't pity me. I didn't even know what to do immediately on crashing on the ground, to cry hungry me but I no fit cry at the same time.
Worse thing is that this kind of fall does not give any room to defend yourself. You just fall helplessly like a bag of fufu and land anyhow. Poor me! This hapoened after 10am today.
As it were, that was the end of the work and am back in the house now licking my wounds. Since the job is at personal-risk, whatever you see, you take. Nobody to complain to for sympathy.
Meanwhile, my second child is less than a month old. Praise be to God for not letting this moment of joy turn to tears, assuming injuries required medical emergency or even death.
To be a man is not a day job. It takes a lot to build to become a man especially, financially.
Right here at home, back/body pain, swollen head with serious headache (as I hit on the wall), dislocated joints (right wrist) and sharp pain around the left part of the waist, all going on around me.
"Brother Bernard" happened to me. Sorry sir. It is well. |

Just as Pele was the best of his generation likewise Messi is the best of his own generation. This is what Mr Oliseh would have said. Since they all played in different era, that alone should place them as the greatest in their various Era |

'He Won 3 World Cups': Brazil's Pele Remains The Greatest Player Ever – Sunday Oliseh
https://www.instagram.com/p/CmYusF_NOOm/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link So had Brazil squad of 1994, 1998 and 2002 had won the world cup in 1998 coupled with the one they won in 1994 and 2002 respectively, the entire team would have been adjudged the greatest players of all time. Mr Oliseh, please keep deceiving yourself. What ordinarily, we were expecting you to say is that since both Pele, maradona and messi/c.ronaldo all played in different era, he(MESSI) is the greatest player in his own Era. Mr Pele was that good, why didn't he try and play in Europe to atleast, win the uefa champions league. |

Travel › Re: My Experience With The Police In Africa Vs Europe by silverx(m): 9:15am On Dec 10, 2022 |
CollinsWeGlobe: Today on my travel experience story
As the saying goes, 'The police is your friend' not in Africa may be in Europe.
Nowhere in the world is 100 per cent perfect but police in Africa is worse including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Togo, Benin Republic, Mali, Burkina Faso.
Africa police all have one thing in common — kidnapping, murder, theft, rape, torture, unlawful arrests, high-handedness, humiliation, unlawful detention, extrajudicial killings, and extortion.
I would like to put this here as a Nigerian solo traveller that has visited 36 States of the most populous nation in Africa, Nigeria, also some African countries and European countries.
I love travelling more than anything. I like to share my genuine experiences about my travel to people in fact I derived joy from it.
So I created a travel blog in 2016 to share my love of travel, adventure, and help inspire others to travel.
Here's my experience with Africa and Europe police;
Benin Republic — I was harassed by the police for no reason.
Togo — police harassed me and took my phone for trying to snap a selfie in their border
Ghana — remove Nigeria on the list, Ghanaian police are the most corrupt set in Africa. I visited a friend in 2018, I was told that police arrest and extort Nigerians daily in the country with 100k to 200k bail charges so I started dressing like Ghanaians. To cut a long story short, my first week in the country I came out from the house to take some shot and learn about their culture, I met police at a roadblock in Kasoa so they arrested me and labelled me a fraudster even with my stamped international passport I transferred 50k from my Nigeria account to bail myself.
South Africa - I was treated like a rag
Mali and Burkina Faso - extortion in this too country is another day story na Nigerians body dem de get power.
Kenya - very heartless set of people
Egypt - This is the best place I have visited in Africa without police harassing me or treating me like trash.
Nigeria (My country) - I have been extorted many times in Nigeria. In Lagos, police took me to their station for putting on a red shoe (I hate red now) drove me to a cyber cafe at Isolo. Forced me to log on my Facebook, searched for cultists orientation related words. They took me to an ATM center and collected all the money in my account, God bless my cousin who sent me 3k for transport that day.
Europe: Europe remains the safest continent on earth. I have paid a visit to some of the European countries including Greece, Finland, Sweden, Bulgary. To be very honest, I have not experienced unlawful arrests, high-handedness, humiliation, unlawful detention, and extortion except the day I police asked for my document they checked it and told me 'thanks for your cooperation, we are very sorry'. I have not seen a policeman with an AK-47 since I came to Europe, no fighting, everywhere is so peaceful and calm.
I'm sorry, but my English is not very good. I am typing with Russian lang PC too.
I am talking about myself, I don't know about you. Share your experience with the police abroad with us. Police arrested you in Nigeria for putting on a pair of red shoes. This is hilarious I must say. |
