The one that is almost causing fight between DH and I na sleepsuits. Any time I pick up long sleeve coverall he would start shouting ' babe naija is hot oooo, do you want my son to have heat rashes'. Even though iv tried to explain that its only for sleeping especially at night but im thinking, does the baby need to be covered from head to toe? The plan is to always have a mosquito net over his crib and AC regulated to suit his temp.

I printed out the fit to fly n medif form, gave it to my doc to fill n submitted it bak 7days before my trip to Qatar office. Medif form is required if u are 33weeks n above for single uncomplicated pregy n 28weeks for twins.

A carton is 14k, so a pack is 5k. That's for size 3 But US huggies is general expensive. My son has bn using it from birth till date. He's goin 2 be 2yrs in less than 2weeks n av told him, no more diaper after the last pack cos I no fit dey buy for new baby n 1st son.

Immediately I boarded I was given a bottle water as big as the big Eva water n a cup in case I needed water urgently, another came to rub my belly askin if I'm birthin a boy or girl, if I wanted xtra tea or somtyn. Anyways I was first delayed to lagos airport wen I was told to go do fit to fly n I got there only for them to tell me I can't be given cos I'm ova 30wkz, so qatar officials said it's cos 3 preggy women had complications a day b4 my flight n the airline was charged 5dollars each per person cos of that. I ended not doin the airport's fit to fly cos I told dem they shud av notified me first nt after doin my hospital's own n filling medif form. Anywayz in all, all tnks to God.

"In the spirit of giving back" I got to travelled wit qatar airways yesterday fast forward to doha, thank God for wheel chair, mehn that thing is a life saver. when it was time to board my connecting flight, I was directed to go and meet a USA rep at the airport

Rep: did you notify the embassy
Me: yes, I sent a mail (thank God I did on monday)
Rep: can I see ( gave him a printed copy of the sent n received mails, attached to it was the doc correspondences)

Me: 4800 cash, 4700 in BOA acct n other cash in my 9ja account
Rep: are you goin to stay wit ur mum
Me: Nop, my step bro.

Got to the exit point, nah hin the officer sent me for secondary inspection (on top say I no carry food ooo…these CBP Officers are not smiling. Washington POE officers dey form tough one kain).
I got to secondary inspection, waited for almost 2hours before they called my name.
CBP: Why are you visiting?
Me: Childbirth and Vacation
CBP: Do you have a hospital yet?
Me: Yes I do…was bringing out my hospital correspondence when the guy said I should give him all the documents in the folder so do not put any paper you do not want them to see in your hand luggage...cz you just may be asked for it. He went through all the papers one by one and was asking questions like; where does your husband work? Why isn’t he here with you? Is this your first baby? I see your payslips, how much is it in dollars? I see you notified the Embassy of your travel plans but this isn’t your first time of visiting…well, that’s good. How come the hospital gave you a good rate? It’s pretty expensive to birth there.And your airline allowed you to travel at 34wks...how come? my doctor deemed me fit to fly. Where do you work? How long are you here for? Have you contacted any church or government agency seeking for aid?
Sweeties, the questions kept coming but oh Lord, I was fully prepared with evidences and God was indeed on my side. So my confidence level was high.
CBP: Why did you choose to birth in the US? Why not UK since you’ve visited UK several times? Or is it because US gives automatic citizenship and UK does not.
Me: Not exactly Sir. It is because US has a better health care system compared to where I’m coming from. US is a developed country while my country is still developing.
CBP: Oh Madam, do not play games with me…be sincere. You are here for the citizenship… we meet a lot of pregnant women like you and we sure know how to deal with issues like this. So cut the games and tell me the truth.
Me: I’m being sincere Sir. I’m here because this is my first baby and I want the best health care I can get anywhere in the world. And you would agree with me that US has the best health care system.

Last last he counted my money and then told me the usual conditions: tell the hospital to give you receipt of full payment and bring them with you on your next trip; you are not eligible for any kind of aid. If you do not meet these conditions, you definitely will be here for a very long time the next time you visit! Na hin the guy stamp me in for 6months. I thank am, thank my God and I walked away. I think the guy who interviewed me is from a POE like Chicago cz he mentioned something about Chicago to a lady who stood beside him.
To God alone be all the glory. Apologies for the long post…it was a pretty long experience.
Abeg if your story no tally or documents are not convincing enough; DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS POE because they sent every pregnant woman for secondary inspection irrespective of where they were coming from and whether you have food or not.

Apologies once again for the long post. I hope you've learned something from my experience. I will be keeping you posted on hospital parole. The Journey just began! wish me luck!

I have endured Dr Fagbohun too much. I saw his bad reviews after I had paid him since so many nairalanders found him pleasant. That man loves money to the detriment of his patient :

How can he book me for induction on Sunday 7pm (this removes 24 hours by 12midnight) and calls d hospital by 8 am that he has csection in another hospital so they should delay me!!! On my Labour bed Am 10cm dilated and 100% effaced. Wish I can sue this guy and I will not have mercy.
