I travelled light, my hubby had things only in his hand luggage and put one box into another to check in. United allowed two boxes for my son so we had 5boxes plus one hand luggage to fill up.

Setember mamas in the house, how preparation to port. Any mama traveling first week in august tru JFK let's mingle. Nywayz I'm back to square 1 after thinking dh friend has paid for my ticket only to find out that he only booked but didn't mae paymnt and has stoppd pickin 4 awhile now. @all, pls did you shop for baby clothing in nigeria beore travelling or you did your shoping in the U.S cos I've not even bought pin.

So I did the baking soda prediction test and it shows I'm expecting a boy, I checked my son's palm and it shows that he's expecting a boy as a younger one.

OK, let me chip in somtyn concernin this, I knw of few.
1. If ur linear nigra is same pattern wit ur first lo then it's same sex.

2. The urine and baking powder test, if u pour ur urine in a baking powder n it bubbles/foams for a while then it's a boy but. If the powder settle down its a girl


3. If u tie ur wedin band on your chain and it moves in the circular motion then its boy but if lateral it's a girl

4.the last a Chinese told me, If by looking at you from the back som1 can predict you are pregy, then It's a Girl But if you dnt look pregy from behind its a boy.

P.s I dnt really believe in this.

Perhaps this isn't the proper thread but a friend advised that I should put it up here and perhaps I might get some pointers/help.Had my 1st baby in 2014 in the us (Atlanta) didn't know about nairaland then but I did tell at Poe that I was in the us to have my baby so it was uneventful - got in about 26weeks -got an obgyn, hosp,....and continued my anc. Had my baby at 38.2weeks birth weight was 2.35kg although my last scan at the Drs office puts it at 2.8kg but apparently scan weight could be +\-0.5kg. Anyway, fast forward 6wks after birth baby went on addmission for about a week cos of seizures and loads of tests was conducted-ct scan/Mri/different blood tests on baby/me-tests I cannot even pronounce all came back negative. Baby's seizures was controlled and he was placed on anti-seizures drug and we returned to Nigeria and he saw a paediatric neurologist asap for continuing care. Baby is almost 2 but his motor milestones is delayed and he was officially diagnosed as having cerebral palsy at 1. He's being getting therapy and the other management as needed here in Nigeria .
Anyway, I'm pregnant again due later in the year- left to me I have decided to stay quietly in Nigeria to have this baby cos I heard and saw 'hell' with our 1st child (it's an ongoing thing ) from you ate bananas/drank cold water/......while pregnant hence the reason why the baby had seizures to it was because baby was born abroad(winter time) and plenty things like that.
Anyway after much talk I have decided to have this baby in America again (my friend on nl said I was being morally irresponsible and selfish) same city but different dr and hospital. My new dr advised that I opt for a CS as after going through my previous medical history and report from my other dr and hosp she's unable to ascertain why the baby considering its size could not come out on its own and a forceps had to be used to aid delivery-she too don begin order and do tests/investigations. Also she said something about the size of my pelvic outlet considering my height-I'm about 5'4" or there about.

My main problem now is my husband wants to sue the dr/hosp more so in light of what the new dr said as per querying the use of a forceps......me I really don't know as I am doing everything humanly possible not to put additional stress on my body/mind. I explained the situation to my friend who's the nl guru and she's like ask here and give a summary of the situation- perhaps someone might have being in the same situation .....and how they went about it.

My dear, all I can say is that may Almighty God help heal ur baby and may the forth coming one not have any medical complications. It's wel with you. If you are sure your first baby had seizure cos o the forceps used abeg sue them cos oyinbos no dey joke with it but anyways, God is ur strength. All the best in ur missionary journey.

My sister na so oooo. I got all the neccessary infos needed for my proposed journey on this thread. Inshort have got like 4 correspondences to use excluding the one I got when I travelled. I don't knw why some of us can't research and make phone calls. I've not spent up to 5k to make those calls thanks to airtel talkmore. Besides info gathered personally is the best cos it's going to be more detailed. I can't imagine preping for almost 10k or more expenses n I'm not ready to make research.

Anywayz I'm eyeing 3 diff places, wyckoff in newyork wch is the most xpensive (10k for CS) but av got family there, Aultman Ohio (less than 7k) for CS but I've got in laws there or st Francis in LA (less than 6k) wch is the cheapest but i've got no family so I have to consider accomodation too. Anywayz less than 6weeks to port.

Pls mamas, pray for me. I went for ANC and my baby's heartbeat wasn't felt at all. After some time, the doctor checked and got very fast heartbeat. Now I've been admitted and they wanna induce d delivery process. Dem don put something inside my jajaina and all I feel is cramp. I'm 37 weeks.

Try getting a carton of affordable wipes for your baby, I got a carton for ds which we used for almost a year. I started using warm water to clean his butt after 3/4 months then use wipes when lazy or wen goin for an outing.

I'll advice u take ur mind off it, Google will scare u d more. With anterior placenta it's not advisable to go into Labour rather doc will advice for a cs, 98% of anterior placenta normalizes b4 due date. In some cases expecially d previa type , doc will tell u to abstain from sex. Nothing to worry about mam. I hope this helps

Waoo, just checked my scan's result and i've got a longitudinal lie Anterior placenta. Though I'm still 29weeks so will keep fingers crossed until EED. Anywayz no worries 4 now. Mamas abeg can I get my rhogan injection at 29weeks since I cudnt go 4 it at 28weeks.

Mitchy ds weighed 3.7kg at 35weeks, 4.03 at 40wks2day But I gab birth to him weighing 3.98kg. So dnt fret too much, he mite weigh less at birth. Anywayz I wan ask if you get any place 4 sale around gbetu or abijo. U can send me ur digits make I holla u.
