I have no personal grievance against tinubu. We can all grandstand about 'moving nigeria forward, leadership qualities' etc, but the truth is that Nigeria of potpourri of personal, tribal and regional interests playing out at the different levels.

Tinubu's personal and (by extension) regional interest is unsellable outside his areas of influence. Let's be realistic, it doesn't matter what I want or you want, his chances are not bright. I'll tell you why, he is seen as a regionial leader.

Go back to your books and check your history, no regional leader of southern extraction have EVER made it to aso rock. Ojukwu, Awo, Falae were seen as regional leaders, even if they win their regions, they'll lose at national level.
Zik and OBJ enjoyed cross-regional acceptability and made it to the presidency as southerners. These are realities that we must face.

Currently the only person that comes close as a southerner is OUK, like OBJ he is not very much liked by his own regional base but enjoy acceptability in other regions and in the north, and sometimes that's all that matters as we saw in OBJ's case.
