Themandator:If you're a website developer, you'd hate Opera. opera doesn't have the capacity to optimise the web app experience like chrome and Mozilla. Chrome, safari and torch browsers are built on the WebKit framework which opera does not support. Also, it's this part or the world that cares about data savings. so we want to save data at the expense of better use experience. if you don't understand let me ask you. between Mozilla, chrome, uc browser and opera, which ones offer a better experience on websites like Facebook, twitter, eBay, Amazon, yahoo mail, gmail etc? as I type this, eBay and Amazon no longer support opera mobile (you can't access them with opera mini or Opera). I believe that in there nearest future, if opera doesn't offer a better web app experience, other major companies will drop it. BTW, Mozilla allowance you to save a page for offline view as a PDF file. I just thought I'd add that |

obinna2nv:A friend called me this morning. A company he did some weeks training with, then an interview like 2 months ago just called him up yesterday and his documentation procedures have started. Spoke to some people in industries too; it seems lots of contracts have been signed since the budget was signed. A coincidence? Maybe. But I don't think so |
Where are the "accessories". And please make a list of the accessories it comes with. Interested buyer |
Readonee35L:I first saw this machine in Gowon Estate, Ipaja Lagos the day EA Adeboye came to Dominion Cathedral. I could hear the don't of the engine before i even came out of the church compound. And Siena just gave us a lesson. Now, others won't comment because he has said it all. No wonder topics in Car talk section rarely make front page. |
Chelsea winning the Champions League is not impossible; but I won't ever place a bet on them. #ViscaBarca. |
stephen2016:(flairs) Ok. For product design, kindly read about Jonathan Ive (Apple's Chief Design Officer). Surprisingly, this guy went to a design school; not the traditional university. Unconfirmed rumours say he is the highest paid executive at Apple today. Logo design--Paul Rand. That man's portfolio humbles logo designers till tomorrow. Architectural design? Don't know the big names in that field. However, if design is your thing, then you had better start taking it serious. I studied Physics and graduated with a 2.1. A guy in my class who graduated with a 2.2 was probably the first guy that got employed in my class. He simply took his design and drawing skills serious. Way back in 100level, this guy would sketch comics with pencil and biro. By the time we were in final year, he had moved to colouring the comics with Photoshop and Illustrator. When he went for his interview, he only showed the panel his portfolio on his blog and voila; he got the job. This link is a link to one of his comics which was posted by a friend of his. https://www.nairaland.com/2411482/introducing-penzu-comics My advice: 1. Get familiar with the softwares you are going to need to ply your trade. 2. Learn to draw if you can't. Believe me, drawing makes design easy. 3. If you have the funds, get enrolled in an online design class to know the basics of what the branch of design is about. If you don't have the funds, you can use torrent engines to look for tutorials. 4. If you have the funds, get a drawing tablet like Wacom. I love designing myself but its not my thing. However when I play with logo design, results like the image below happen. The logo was meant for a business venture between a friend and I. However, the venture was D.O.A ![]()

stephen2016:If Nairaland is your testing ground to know if there's a market for designers, then you're on a long thing. Secondly, Design as a word is quite vague or at best describes a large industry. Are you talking about product design, logo design, web design, industrial design? |
jeebz:I dey o. Please if you have any links to scholarships abroad or job info, do share. have a great week |
Let me comment. I haf seen that this topic has potential to make front page. |
Stillfire:Not everyone had the luxury of going to a school where social etiquette was taught. This is common sense na. Simples. Not trekking someone after taking their stuff is stealing. Some call it borrowing tjo |
MacMaster01:Yeah. In reality those are big players. Nokia just completed an acquisition not long ago. Others include Netcom etc |
nogames:When people talk about PWC, KPMG and other consulting companies in respect to pay, I laugh. Telecom vendors pay way more than that. I know a telecom vendor staff that is not a manager but his December bonus was 65k dollars. |
tpiar:Remind me to never take you series again. |
tpiar:Every manual labour work has dangers; from construction to drilling. So because there are dangers associated with shovelling snow, then we should become HSE/EHS experts in order to do it? Oya, tell me the dangers involved make I learn. And don't you dare post a link for me to read up. Make I park my Rolls Royce Phantom for here. I remain a humble learner |
tpiar:I just have to ask: did you ever step into a philosophy class talking about valid and invalid arguments? You asked me the difference between shovelling snow and the shovelling I was talking about. And you had to start comparing digging and shovelling. Are you kidding me |
tpiaobsession:Shovelling is shovelling anywhere, any time, any day. What is being shovelled may differ but the technique of shovelling snow that you put up there is also relevant to shovelling dirt, sand, cement or what have you. Stop trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. |
Trippledots:If the application had been online, no doubt there would be. but when CVs are sent to e-mail addresses, I doubt |
Aremu01:I'm not the one conducting the recruitment o. The info was sent to me and I shared it. |
