coogar:You nailed it |
coogar:Bros, at a level in Physics, you wouldn't actually know the difference between Physics and Maths. I know cos I studied Physics |
Behavioural tests don't have yes or no answers. so if you think there's one expo, na lie. however if it's anything like the Standard Chartered test I did some months ago, you'll be tested on the following 1. How well you work in a team 2. Your loyalty to your line manager. 3. Your attitude to new assignments with respect to your organisational duties. 4. Your view on work-life balance etc Generally, they'll test for behavioural competencies that an applicant needs to thrive in a consulting environment. Hope I've helped |
What of those who have already published? How do I incorporate it into my CV? Link to the paper is http://www.ijser.org/onlineResearchPaperViewer.aspx?On-the-study-of-optical-and-structural-properties-of-zinc-oxide-thin-films-by-sol-gel-dip-coating-technique.pdf |

Drop your email and I'll send 2015gmat to you Modified: To those that quoted me before the time I modified this post, you must have seen the document I can't send to everyone, so if I've sent to you, just forward to others. Thanks for understanding. The file size is quite large; close to 30mb. If you not going to download it don't waste people's time by asking them to send to you Remodified As of 1:27am November 4 2015, I've sent to most e-mail addresses that were dropped on this thread. if I didn't send to you, pardon me. I just copied and pasted the email addresses as they were typed. Don't stop sharing the document and don't dare sell it! |
jeebz:Done |
jeebz:I am o. you got any options for me. link me up bro. thanks |
jeebz:I'll be done next week by God's grace. October 15. Batch C 14 is good to do. why do you ask please |
petengine:If the application asks for a CV best you send it as a separate file and copy the contents into the body of the e-mail. if the application does not ask for a cover letter, still type it, and copy its contents in the body of the e-mail. whatever you do, do not send an empty e-mail. |
petengine:Docx format is the best (latest file type of MS Word) But some websites like etisalat portal would ask for other formats like doc (MS Word 2003) file type or even pdf (MainOne asked for pdf file) So what I do is have pdf and docx CV types whenever I want to process applications |
scholes0:Compared to Mainframe popularly called Uncle TUNdE Kelani, he is still a boy. He's good no doubt but Uncle Tunde is better |
guchii:From what I've read the best thing is using the Cover letter as the body of the e-mail if you're asked to send only CV. If you're to send both attach both and still type something in the body if the e-mail. Whatever happens do not send a blank email |
tobe4real:I'm a serving Corps member in Imo state and it was during this service year that I realised many Nigerian graduates are unemployable. To most who belong to that category, going to school was just about getting the certificate. Or how do you explain a First Degree holder who doesn't know the difference between BSc and MSc saying that the school he graduated from awards MSc to fresh graduates . Or how do you explain that a graduate does not know what is meant by "Discipline" as regards what a person studied in school? To others who belong to that category, lack of information played a major role. Or how do you explain a first class graduate who forgets to put the class of degree he has on his CV? The good thing about ask these basic skills is that no one brought it from Heaven. It was all learnt here on Earth. Meaning that if you devote your time to it, you can learn them. Also, many recruitment consultants keep saying the same thing. If there is no iota of truth in it, would they say it? You can Google Detoun Ogwo and check some of her Facebook status of recent. You'll be shocked about her experiences |
For people who are excited about unleashing the best mode their phones have to offer, android rules. I mean, if you really know your game you'll perform wonders with the OS.I once toured with dual booting my phone with Mozilla OS out Linux. But if you're all about the sleekness of your device and how smooth it operates. You don't want to bother your head with task managers and other geeky stuff, then iOD is for you. We shouldn't try to impose our tastes on others. Everyone had a right to freedom of choice for the ecosystem they wanna belong to |
Guys on here, kudos to you for the comments. I read each one up till this point. These will be my submissions 1. The reason why apple succeeded in changing the mobile device market was that they realised that software was the ish. Hardware to apple is secondary. During an event Steve Jones once said that the IPod is essentially a software and that's why it's different from other mp3 players. 2. Steve was crazy about designs. He was a design major and knew the importance of Good design to successful products. 3. The user experience of every Apple device is premium. No doubt. However, competitors would not fold their arms and watch you take over the market. If that happens, the monopoly isn't good for the consumer. So Google, Microsoft and Samsung are there to make sure Apple doesn't loose sight that in the market, the consumer is king. Innovation is broad. It ranges from design to hardware and even software. Everyone innovates. And that's why innovation is different from invention. Sadly only few companies invent new stuff these days. Also note that innovation is taking an existing product, good or service and improve on it while invention is creating a new product, good or service which is there first of its kind. In this parlance, everyone is allowed to copy someone.. Just that you must be smart about it. In the android world, hardware is king but in Apple world, software rules. To each his own. If only there was a way to port iOS to my S4. |
dondiggy:Thanks really appreciate |
Adeonolus:If your curriculum is mathematics intensive, then Schaum series would be a good buy. Because Physics is quite wide it's rare to see a textbook that covers everything. In the end, always endeavour to ask the textbook a lecturer is using as his main reference point for the course he is taking you. In Electronics, electrical Bible is the king. I've forgotten the name of the author. Mechanics, quantum physics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism and other fields in physics also have their textbooks. |
jeebz:Yay! *dancing shakiti* I noticed that I got second author but didn't know the implications. Also when I glanced through the paper I noticed it had been beefed up. But I still retain credit for typing the original manuscript. Doing the foundation research and even reading as much as 40 papers before I finished writing the project. Make una wish me happy birthday o |
Teempakguy:Thanks. Please give a honest opinion of it after reading. Jeebz, you get mouth |
Jeebz, stingy, msnas, xfire, teempakguy, robinhez etc make una come o. Paper has finally been published! I'm so happy, joyful and emotional. All the hard work has finally paid off. I couldn't believe the quality of the material when I read it. Obviously, my supervisor did a wonderful job editing, reviewing and carrying out further tests on the samples. See attached pix below Link http://www.ijser.org/onlineResearchPaperViewer.aspx?On-the-study-of-optical-and-structural-properties-of-zinc-oxide-thin-films-by-sol-gel-dip-coating-technique.pdf

So finally guys my FYP has been published by IJSER August 2015 edition. So happy and elated because the news came a day before my birthday... What a wonderful birthday gift. Finally, all the hard work I did writing that project has paid off
|
xfire:My Oga at the top, I sent my CV for a review some time ago but I haven't gotten a reply. I know you are quite busy but would you please acknowledge receipt of the Cv. Also, I'll be glad if you do the review very soon. Thanks |

Alexander001:I'd suggest you graduate with a good grader first. It's better and easier to get things done with a good grade. Next is to develop your self while at school. Improve your communication skills, computer skills and if possible go for some certifications. If you have time learn Electronics and Computer repairs from those "road side" technicians so that by the time you're graduating, school has passed through you and not the other way round. Then finally, do a thorough research about industries you'll like to work and go for it! And of its Masters, go for it too. Don't hesitate to pressure your dreams. Barak |
Alexander001:I don't understand what you wrote up there. Did you major in Electronics and Computer Tech while studying Physics in school? I ask because I've not heard of such major before. Or the name of your course is Electronics and Computer Tech? Please answer. Thanks |
MsNas:Kindly go to the career section and see. We once talked on a thread before the Tsunami that swept through NL. You and Adedokun were classmates! *tongue out* Please help me with your e-mail address... Want to discuss somethings |
swaggprofessor:Bro, don't say what you don't know. I've seen Physics graduates in Nigeria doing well without MSc certificates. Don't make assumptions about all Physics graduates just because of your condition. My IT supervisor in Huawei graduated from Unilag with a Physics/Electronics degree and has over 6years experience in the Telco sector without an MSc degree. In fact, many Microwave engineers I know, have Physics background. Also in Nigeria, there are lots of Physics graduates in the O&G, IT and financial services sector. With Physics, the sky is the starting point! And who told you there are no research labs in Nigeria that employs Physics graduates? While doing my FYP project, I had problems analysing my ZnO thin films because Research labs were on strike. Almost went as far as Abj for XRD analysis. Don't say what you don't know! |
MsNas:Long time! Greatest Ladokite, you just forget ur people for Physics graduate thread for Nairaland. No be so o... |
xfire:Oga xfire you've not replied my mail o. Sent my CV a while back. Thanks in advance for the review |
