Same should be done to all borders not only to stop smuggling but also to check influx of arms and foreigners especially herdsmen that are not Nigerians and the customs should be properly trained to meet up to their responsibilities.

borders in the north are not necessarily by road. arms are smuggled on donkeys, camels, cows etc through forest routes known to only locals and nomads. Nigerian customes and immigration security can't stop what they know little about.
