FRENZYLO:Do you expect citizens to just sit and fold their hands while things are progressively going out of hand? Come on! His Excellency should show some commitments, he is the commander in chief. If only elections would be allowed to play well. Take a look at what is happening in the US mid term elections. The Republicans have taken over the Senate and waiting to take over the house of reps soon because the electorate are fed up with the policies of the Democrats. |
I ask this question with lots of pain in my heart. Before the supposedly cessation of fire between the ragtag group; Boko Haram and the Nigerian Armed Forces, the latter seems to be wininng the war, then boom, out of blues came an agreement for a seize fire between the former and the latter. Since the pronouncement of this cessation of fire, we seems to be recording an increasing activities of this blood thirsty cult called boko haram. Equally parthetic is the taken over of Mubi town in Adamawa State, the home of the Chief of Defence Staff, leaving on their path death and anguish with many rendered homeless. What exactly is happening. Am beginning to suspect there may be other ulterior motives behind allowing these killers operate unhindered. The Nigeria Military that I know, will level this wicked group in no time if given the necessary support. Are there moves to ensure this killings continue? For some of us, we may have developed a false sense of safety probably because we are not directly affected. But we should remember, people are been killed daily and they seems not to be getting the needed protection from the Government that is suppose to protect them. I call on you, Your Excellency, Mr. President, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Great Federal Republic of the , Dr. Goodluck Ebere Jonathan to once and for all crush this insurgence. An end should be put to all these senseless killings. |
koolg:Lol. Hope say na madam? |

For most pregnant women, the big O is a total go during pregnancy! In fact, it can be extra amazing for so many reasons. Having sex during pregnancy "is good for your body, your body image, your heart rate, your relationship," says sex educator and best-selling author Lou Paget, whose book Hot Mamas empowers mothers-to-be in the bedroom and beyond. "The benefits are the same as when you're not pregnant. Fears and myths can make some women hesitant to do anything that would lead to climax, but if your doctor has assured you that your pregnancy is normal -- you're not at risk for preterm labor and don't have certain other pregnancy complications -- there's no reason not to have sex during pregnancy. In fact, here are four compelling reasons to go for the O tonight: Reason #1: Your orgasms may be supersize. "I've heard so many women say they wish they could have pregnancy orgasm.s again because they were off the charts," Paget says. Some women experience multiple orgasms for the first time. Even if you're still landing single O's, your sensations are likely heightened because the genital and pelvic regions are engorged with blood (and blood and oxygen power orgasms), thus intensifying all kinds of stimulation. Reason #2: You're in the mood. A study in The Journal of Sexual Medicine reports that some 40 percent of women reported wanting more sex during pregnancy than they had before they were pregnant. Credit the heady cocktail of hormones -- progesterone and estrogen (and even testosterone, during the second trimester) -- for body changes that say yes to sex: Breasts are bigger and nipples are more sensitive, there's greater energizing blood flow to your pelvic area, and you're likely to have more natural lubrication. Your newfound curves may also make you feel sexier, and, obviously, there's no need to worry about birth control. Reason #3: It's a stress-buster. "Orgasms deliver an adrenaline rush, which brings a nice stress release," says Ari Brown, M.D., a pediatrician and the author of Expecting 411. Studies show that sex can help lower blood pressure, making you feel calmer, and can even lower the risk of heart attack. A bigger payoff in the moment, according to Loralei Thornburg, M.D., assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a specialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center: "Sex is relaxing, so it helps you get to sleep," she says. Reason #4: It keeps your relationship alive. "From a marital standpoint, it's always good to connect with your mate in the most intimate of ways," Dr. Brown says. Not only does it restore a sense of normalcy to an otherwise tumultuous stage of your lives, but it literally, chemically, brings you closer, thanks to the release of oxytocin, the so-called bonding hormone. Studies have found that oxytocin boosts emotional attachment and makes us more sympathetic, supportive and trusting -- all building blocks of a solid relationship. Now you have it, Good news, mamas-to-be. |
infertility is a complex and often misunderstood condition, which is why there's so much confusion surrounding it. Here are some common myths to watch out for -- and help dispel what couples may have been made to believe. . Myth 1: It's easy for most women to get pregnant. While it's true that many woman conceive without difficulty, one in every 10 couples -- have problems with infertility. Certain health conditions and factors, such as age, can affect a woman's ability to conceive. For instance, a healthy 30-year-old woman has about a 20 percent chance of getting pregnant each month; while by age 40, her chances drop to about 5 percent a month. But infertility can affect women of any age, and from any background. Myth 2: Men don't have infertility problems. Though it's commonly believed that infertility is a "women's problem," nothing is further from the truth. About 35 percent of all infertility cases treated could be due to a female problem. But 35 percent (an equal number!) can be traced to a male problem, 20 percent to a problem in both partners, and 10 percent to unknown causes. Myth 3: Infertility is a psychological -- not physical -- problem. Well-meaning friends and relatives may suggest "infertility is all in your head" or "if you'd stop worrying so much, you'd get pregnant." But in reality, infertility is a disease or condition of the reproductive system -- and not a psychological disorder. In fact, one or more physical causes are identified in the vast number of infertile couples. So while relaxing, going on vacation, or finding positive ways to reduce stress can improve your overall well-being, these lifestyle changes won't solve your infertility problems. Myth 4: Couples who "work" hard enough at having a baby will eventually get pregnant. New methods of diagnosing and treating infertility have improved many couples' chances of having a baby. More than half of all couples who pursue treatment will achieve a successful pregnancy. On the other hand, it's important to remember that infertility is a medical disease and that problems sometimes remain untreatable -- no matter how hard a couple "works" at solving them. Myth 5: Once a couple adopts a child, the woman will become pregnant. This particular myth is not only painful for infertile couples to hear, but it's also untrue. First of all, it suggests that adoption is simply a means to an end (a pregnancy), and not, in and of itself, a valid and wonderful way to form a family. Secondly, only about 5 percent of couples who do adopt later become pregnant. This success rate is the same for couples who don't adopt and become pregnant without further treatment. Myth 6: Husbands often leave their wives if they're infertile. As stated earlier, infertility is a medical condition that affects both men and women equally. In fact, about 40 percent of the time, the male partner is either the sole or contributing cause of infertility. While many couples do find the process of infertility testing and treatment rigorous, stressful, and intrusive (not to mention costly), they do get through it -- together. Many partners also find new and deeper ways of relating to each other and discover that their marriage has become even stronger. Myth 7: Infertile couples will never be happy or fulfilled. Being unable to conceive a much-wanted child (or carry a pregnancy to term) can fill a couple with sadness, grief, anger, despair, and even a sense of personal failure. While it's normal for infertile couples to experience a range of powerful emotions, most people do move through this life crisis successfully and gradually put it into better perspective. For some couples, "moving on" means letting go of their initial dreams of having a baby. Other couples decide to adopt. But in either case, couples do learn that there is life after infertility and find myriad ways to fulfill themselves -- with or without children. |
The above question was posed and answers gotten by a concerned mom. This is for our information in-case any couple may be entertaining such fears: Q. My husband and I are still enjoying an active sex life now that I'm pregnant, but I'm afraid to have orgasms because of the way they make my uterus contract. Can this lead to miscarriage? A. Not usually. Enjoying sex while you're pregnant is a safe and healthy thing to do, says Elizabeth Stewart, MD, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Harvard Medical School. The only exceptions are if you've had a threat of miscarriage, a prior preterm birth, if your cervix is incompetent or dilated, or if you're experiencing unexplained vaginal bleeding or discharge. In those situations, certainly discuss your concerns with your doctor. All women experience uterine contractions during orgasm. They're caused by prostaglandins, substances found in semen and some bodily tissues, explains Dr. Stewart. You just feel these contractions more intensely now because your uterus is swollen and your blood flow is increased. But in a normal pregnancy these contractions won't cause you to lose the baby. Your unborn child is well padded against any sexual acrobatics by the fluid-filled amniotic sac and strong uterine muscles, and he's guarded from infection by a thick mucus plug that seals the cervix. Doctors in the house could throw more light. |

1. The dates 4/4, 6/6, 8/8, 10/10, and 12/12 all fall on the same day of the week during any one year. Applying a male’s underarm sweat to a female’s lips can help women relax, boost their mood and help regulate their menstrual cycle. (And it tastes…great?) 6. When a male honeybee climaxes during sex, his testicles explode and he dies. (just wonder if......) 7. The USSR requested a clear-colored Coca-Cola in the 1940s so that it looked like vodka. (Coke was regarded in the Soviet Union as a symbol of American imperialism. To satisfy his request, a chemist removed the soda’s caramel color, and Coca-Cola put the drink in a clear bottle with a white cap and red star.) 8. Back in January 2013, a Russian company called ZEFS put up a sculpture outside a St. Petersburg university devoted to the iPhone, the love of Russian hipsters everywhere. On Friday, a day after Apple CEO Tim Cook wrote an essay saying he was gay, ZEFS took the sculpture down. In a statement sent around on Monday, it said the iPhone was now “public propaganda for sodomy.” “After Apple CEO Tim Cook publicly called for sodomy, the sculpture was dismantled in line with Russia’s federal law protecting children from information that propagandizes the rejection of traditional family values,” the statement said. The statement cited Maxim Dolgopolov, the head of ZEFS, as saying everyone should stop using the iPhone, which, he said, was more dangerous than cigarettes or drugs. Do you agree with his assertions? I just do hope this whole security challenge is not being politicized. The Nigeria Military that I grew up to know would have crushed this ragtags called bokos in no time if given the right encouragment and amunitions. |
macpetrus:I can assure you, the pdp in the House would not be able to muster the required number to impeach the speaker. I do hope the speed with which the security details where withdrawn would be replicated in their return. IG turning himself to a judge. |
I would want to believe the APC under Amaechi may just be strategizing; afterall no matter the number of candidates jostling as the representative of pdp, only one will emerge. You never can tell what those who may have lost the primaries will do. Most Nigerian politicians are not known to accept election defeat easily. The number of candidates under pdp contending for their different governorship primaries for each State could be their greatest undoing if the after effect of the primaries are not handled well by the executive of the party. |
Though women may never truly understand why men always fail to wrap their heads around and comprehend what women really want, but then it’s okay. We all can at some point or other appreciate a little mystery. And while you are not required to know every single detail of your partner, you should however at least be aware of the stuff that’s pissing off your better half. 5. Why in the World do You Question Her Purchases She’s spent hundreds on her 50 ml moisturizer, or a stick of eyeliner and thousands on her dozens of hair care products and different pair of shoes to go with different dresses and yes, she’s not letting go of her overpriced hair stylist, because he’s the only person she trusts with her chic hairdos. Stop poking her with your endless suggestions and list of questions as to why did she spend a fortune on getting a new dress. 4. So you think you’re Busy, Haan? Another highly annoying thing guys do is to initiate a conversation, get her attention and then suddenly drift away. If she responded, that certainly means she wants to talk, vanishing after exchanging a few pleasantries would only leave her exasperated. This certainly calls for a big ignorance next time you text her. 3. Where’s that Smell Coming From Don’t get swayed by the mawkish AXE advertisements, where a single spray gets angels falling all around you. Dousing yourself in heavily loaded perfumes will not do much good to you. Women certainly like their men to smell good. But how in the world do you expect her to breathe comfortably when you’re there right in-front of her smelling like an old-school kid excitedly heading to a prom. 2. I Hate Stalkers You tell her every detail of where she’s been and what all has she been up to the entire week, before she could spill the beans. So, you think its endearing? Then hear it – it’s NOT! Sitting in front of your computer and doing nothing much but stalking her, checking out her entire Instagram and Twitter history is just so un-cool and extremely annoying. 1. One Word Texts Don’t Work Jerk Alright, so she just typed in a message, which was no less than a doctoral thesis, put in all her emotions and let her feelings out on you. Annoyingly, the best you could muster up was a meager “K”. That’s it! Couldn’t you just reciprocate her feelings with a little more thoughtful text? How much of energy would typing a simple text require? Now You Have It. |
If cigarettes are legal, why shouldn’t marijuana be legal too? It’s far less addictive than tobacco and it’s not anymore harmful? Marijuana might even have some medical benefits. By keeping it illegal isn’t the government just encouraging drug trafficking and making the drug mafia richer? |
Kevin Jones, a Kentucky-based rapper named Big 7ven, shared a controversial photo set of his 10-year-old daughter on Facebook last week. Jones wrote that he had caught his daughter dating a boy, sneaking out of the house, and lying about her age. To punish her he put her in an outfit he felt better fit her age. “Since my beautiful daughter Janiya wants to be grown and lie about her age,” Jones wrote, “here’s the consequences behind her actions, an age defining shirt.” Jones also gave his daughter a Disney backpack and put barrettes and bows in the little girl’s hair. Jones’ post seems to have struck a nerve, and has been shared over 80,000 times on Facebook in the week since he published it. The reactions have been split, but many of the commenters on his post are supportive of Jones’ decision to publicly shame his daughter on social media. What do think? Do You support Jones action?

This indeed is quite challenging. The one possible option now is if your mom can help arrange for a daughter of a relation of yours for the mean time who may be idling away in the village. |
Mothers and wives play great roles in the lives of their sons and husbands. The greater task lies with the man in trying to balance this relationship between his wife and mom. Both women for one reason or the other tries to get the attention of the man; it is the responsiblity of the man to establish the right foundation of relationship between his wife and mom. One very key issue is mutual respect. The man should let mama know he is married now and his first loyalty goes to his wife and immediate family, while letting wifee know that this is mama and will always remain mama and no amount of contention and antagonism will make him renounce his mother. Yes, there may be instances where some mothers inlaw are bent on frustrating their daughters inlaw, that not withstanding, if you as a wife are on the same page with your husband, give her time, she will come around. Dont also forget, you're a daughter inlaw today, you will be a mother inlaw tomorow. If you want to eat maize tomorow, plant it today. Do unto others, what you would want be done unto you. Patience is the key, mamas are old and there is the tendencies to act childish at-times, over look it and show some love, you will be suprise how easy you will win them over. I just kept wondering why sons inlaw and fathers inlaw are not having these fights too. |
Every mother has been led to believe that motherhood is "the hardest job in the world." But motherhood isn't a job, it's a lifelong relationship. If you view motherhood as a job, you're going to be sorely disappointed. You never get to clock out, you aren't allotted breaks and you probably won't get much vacation time. Most tired, frazzled, stressed-out moms are comforted by this platitude: Being a mom is the toughest job in the world. Being a mother is really, ridiculously hard on some days, and so is being a father. Motherhood is a relationship. I understand that it is encouraging to tell moms that they are doing the hardest job in the world, but I also think it is misleading. When you begin to see motherhood as a job, you stop viewing it as a relationship. Such notion can breed frustration because those mothers would begin to wonder why they don't get promotions, raises, breaks, sick days, better benefits, etc. If motherhood was a job, some mothers would have quit by now. Is motherhood a job or a relationship? |
There is indeed a very thin line between Political Rally & Political Campaign. According to the Electoral Act, Political Parties are only allowed to commence campaign 3 months to the elections. Can't the different rallies been held by the Political Parties and their supporters be also termed campaigns? According to the electoral act, where lies the demarcations if there is any atall? Are the Politicians taking advantage of the lacuna and seems like INEC is caged? |
Lacomus:Have come across several kids like that. You just keep wondering: 'where this kid drop from?' Lol. |
This is no popularity contest between wives and husbands, nor an opportunity to spite any of the sexes. I just came across this piece with the above headline by an aggrieved wife and did a summary on it to get our opinion: Are husbands incapable of cooking and cleaning, especially when their wives are on their death beds from pregnancy-induced shitty life syndrome? Are they not able to get up in the middle of the night with a newborn and take care of the diaper changing and the rocking and the singing and the tucking in? Are they excused from such tasks because they head off to work every day (exactly as some of their wives do as well, by the way)? I simply can’t figure out why women are settling for this. It’s not in a man’s DNA to be an unhelpful sonofabitch. Really, it’s not. They’re not naturally wired to sit on the couch in their stained tees and boxers, demanding dinner and shouting out commands to “Get these kids under control already, damnit!” while their wives break their backs and their resolve to keep some semblance of domestic order and not beat the shit out of the next little person who screams “I HATE BROCCOLI AND CHICKEN AND YOU!” at the dinner table. This type of spousal behavior is not some universal norm, ladies, and is therefore not acceptable. My conclusion; believe it or not, there are husbands and partners out there who wouldn't be caught dead behaving in such a fashion, not to mention who wouldn't think twice about taking over dinner duties on top of everything else until their wives get a handle on whatever physical or emotional ailments haunt them and household duties can be reorganized and shared. There are quite a lot of these husbands, in fact. And if yours isn’t one of them, ladies, I recommend you start working on it he become one. So what do you think? As a husband are you a burden to your wife? As a wife, do you consider your husband another "baby?" |
KiddaBlingzz:Wow! Tell us how you brought down the "roof", and what prompted you to stop. |
There is no such thing as bad children - only bad parents has long been the mantra of child experts. The firm belief being that an individual is shaped by nurture and not pre-decided by nature. After all, studies have shown us that offspring of the violent and abusive often turn out to be highly troubled adults themselves. But what if a child is born into a loving, caring home and still goes off the rails? And what if the child's siblings, who have been raised in that same loving household, have turned out perfectly fine - whose fault is it then? Astonishingly, some psychiatrists accept that previous thinking was flawed and that some children, through no fault of the parents, are simply bad seeds. In other words: born bad. (Apologies to Olamide (Badoo)) Can a child be born BAD? |
pickabeau1:The desperate. Pardon the mix up. Thanks |
We may have heard things like; this babe is deperate, that babe eye cut....etc. What would make you consider a lady desperate? |
Lastborn children tend to compensate for their younger age by stealing the spotlight from their older siblings. Though their attention-hogging tactics can range from innocent to manipulative, it can work in your favor if you know how to use their traits your parenting advantage. Here, how to give lastborn kids the attention that they deserve. 1. Nobody puts baby in a corner. Young children often feel left out because they're "not old enough," but even though your 4-year-old daughter may be the youngest of the lot, that doesn't mean you should treat her like a baby. "Teach the younger child to be independent," 2. Dim the spotlight. By hook or by crook, the baby of the family has got to have all the attention, so having your 5-year-old daughter do a mock-"Thriller" dance in front of the TV while you're trying to watch the 7 o'clock news is not out of the question. But while it's important that you give her your fair share of personal time so she feels equally as important as her siblings, parents shouldn't give the baby preferential treatment. 3. Hold him accountable for his actions. Yes, we know he's your baby, your precious youngest child. But if you let your 5-year-old skip out on doing his chores, not only is he going to be more difficult to discipline as he gets older, but his siblings will likely resent the preferential treatment he's receiving. "Be sure your lastborn does not get away with murder in regard to family rules and regulations,"4. Protect him when the going gets rough. As a parent of multiple kids, you also inherit an invisible referee jersey. Older children often look down on their younger sibling, and may try to bully or tease him. When things get dicey, you need to step in, not just to teach your older child to be civil, but also to protect the soft underbelly of your youngest. "If the older children are not letting the youngest child finish a sentence, you need to be there to say, 'Wait a minute. So-and-so has something to say, and you're cutting him off. 5. Say no -- and feel fine about it. The youngest child is generally more self-centered than the rest, so don't be surprised if your 6-year-old daughter is throwing a tantrum in the middle of a mall because she absolutely needs that pink dress to show off in church. However, rather than buying the fashion disaster to halt her tears, it's important not to indulge her every request. Treating her as you would her siblings -- that is, buying her things that she needs, not necessarily everything she demand. 6. Whenever necessary, call baby's bluff. The youngest child, desperate for attention, is likely to exaggerate the facts if it's convenient. Your 8-year-old is running a fever and is too sick to go to school? Don't think twice to grab a thermometer to prove that he's wrong -- and that you won't let him get away with it. 7. Explain yourself. Lastborns can be secretive, pushy, or passive when it comes to feeling excluded. If your child clams up, it's up to you to open the lines of communication so your child's anger doesn't fester into long-term resentment. 8. Integrate your lastborn into the mix. Due to age differences, it's hard to find activities your 13-year-old, 10-year-old, and 6-year-old can (and will want to) do together. Your teenage boy might want to play computer games, but Halo is just too hard for the 6-year-old to understand, and sports -- considering your kids' differing motor skills -- is another conundrum. So try something everyone can enjoy. |
Remember Nick Vujicic? He was born 4 December 1982. He is an Australian Christian evangelist and motivational speaker born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterised by the absence of all four limbs. As a child, he struggled mentally and emotionally as well as physically, but eventually came to terms with his disability and, at the age of seventeen, started his own non-profit organisation, Life Without Limbs. What is a moment's joy worth? Lagbaja and Oglikwe don't care. They disliked their son Akpos's mischievous eagerness to chase his sister around the house, they say the truth is, they wish they had aborted Akpos. "I didn't want a baby with disabilities," Lagbaja was heard talking to some friends. "I was thinking, 'Is he going to be in a wheelchair? Am I going to lose my job and be a stay-in parent?' It wasn't what I wanted for myself at the time." "We made it clear to the doctors that we didn't want a child who wasn't going to be able to ride a bike and do things that normal children do," Without question, this child has been through too much: "Born with severe micrognathia, a condition that causes an undersized jaw and acute breathing difficulties, Akpos needs round-the-clock care," according to the doctors. No child deserves that. And no child deserves to live with parents who wish they had killed him before he was born. Their real names have been replaced to protect their identities. Things do happen and certain other things are possibly beyond us; but faced with the reality of a confirmed report from a doctor that the child you are carrying is deformed, will you opt for an abortion? |
