I strongly believe everyone is entitled to their Bleep ups and shouldn't be killed for them. Its with this thought that I remember some of my more (top three, if they can be called "top" embarrassing moments and their consequences.


1. LOVERBOY,

The Bleep Up: It was in Primary 2 when I announced to the whole class my intention to marry Rita in row three.

The Response: Of course, the whole class went nuts teasing Rita & me. I was sure it was cool back then but Rita didn't quite agree.
I woke up quite quickly from that dream since I had to repeat that class. On resumption day the new session, I got a look from Rita that simply said, "You'd have to do better than that."\


2. BRILLIANT BOY,

THE Bleep Up: Fast forward a few years and I'm in JsII. I had just changed schools (a serious upgrade from Egba High School to Sodipo Memorial) and on my VERY FIRST AFTERNOON, after I had only been around for about 1 hour, a girl in my new class was asking the boys for my name but no one told her so she had to come to me. Now it wouldn't have cost me anything if had just told her, but hear my reply, " Go look in your encyclopedia".

The Response: It didn't come till the next day. We were having maths class and as a new student, I had to be acknowledged by the teacher. Only that for this teacher, I have to answer a question for that to happen. Check the conversation,

"Are you familiar with significant figures?", he asks.
"OF COURSE sir", I replied. (I was really hoping that was the end of it)

"Alright then. Round off 3.40115 to 3 S.f."

And my response to that was absolutely nothing at all. But guess who made sure I heard her laughter above all others in the class. That's right my good friend from the day before who only wanted to know my name. Snap!!!


3. CRIME CAN NOT PAY,

The Bleep Up: I was in SS3 when what would have been the greatest water heist of all time was foiled. Don't ask how it happened, but amongst no less than a dozen boys, yours truly was the only one who managed to get caught.


The Response: After I got a few blows from the Bishop's chaplain, I presented a full lis of all the boys involved in the "theft" attempt. Of course the man couldn't really do anything to any of us but he managed to tarnish my image before everyone in my class.
Subsequently, I had to give up the life of crime since it had promised not to pay me all the time I was in secondary school. And I had a feeling that wasn't going to change much after and it hasn't.
