I tire oh, what is wrong with being proactive and booking for medicals before ITA to avoid unecessary delay. Everything doesnt have to be difficult in this country abeg...

Not the fault of the hospital or those booking. Upfront medical is required from everybody, so everybody has to plan with the limited number of hospitals available.
And why will you wait for ITA before you book anyway... Some people receive ITA and submit their eAPR within 2 days because they have all the documents ready. Now that's planning.
I'm sure IOM still has space btw.

the evaluation took about 3 months from when they received my documents. after the 8 weeks they claimed it will take, I emailed them and asked for an update, they said due to the huge number of cases they are working on, it will take another 4 weeks. After the 4 weeks i emailed them again that was when they told me it was ready and that they had sent the soft copy on 10th Sept.

please how do you change the address. Do you do it through mail? i cant seem to reach them on phone and when they do pick its not always clear.

Apperently while submitting my application i was supposed to include an ECA report request form for CIS but i didnt. i had to send that application seperate, so if i can have them mail that copy to a friend in canada it may even reach me before this one they mailed already.

unfortunately, you will need to have patience . PEBC uses regular mail to send results. So you are at the mercy of your naija local courier system. You just have to wait until you receive it . I have to change my delivery address to a canada local address just to shorten the time. We expect the ECA to be out next week .

I really want to be in the pool by next draw because with my 444 i'm very nervous the Cut of will soon go out of my reach. My Only problem is the soft copy of my ECA had been mailed to me since Sept 10th and uptil now I haven't received it. ( PEBC does not upload ECA RESULT online you have to wait for the soft copy to get to you.) Can I use my PEBC ID no for the ECA report no and quote September 10th as the date?

Please anyone that has experienced something like this should help me out.

If only PEBC can send my ECA. Since March ooo. In fact they sent me mail that the soft copy has been mailed since 10th sept and up till now I've not seen it. I don send mail tire, call tire. The snail speed is really killing me

my result LSRW : 8.5,7.5,9.0,6.5.. I just feel I've done the best i can. I will apply for a remark but i will also retake the exam. I dont think Liz videos helped because i followed all her instructions to the last.. I think I need to do somthing different..Any Ideas plsssss??

Hmmmm my people I'm back oh this time with testimony...

I did remark nd after 2 weeks the result came back unchanged, I just focused on preparing for sept 29th exam. Third attempt...

After my writing i came out of the hall and suddenly realised I made a huge mistake. The question was some people think TV advertising is useful, others however do not agree. What is your opinion on this?? I just dived in and started a two sided discussion essay. It wasnt until I left the hall I realized it was meant to be a one sided OPINION essay. Chai I cried eh. I told hubby no need I will fail it and I quickly booked for 13th Oct without waiting to see the result.

Lo and behold while I was on my way for my speaking test today I decided to check and result was LRSW: 8.5,9,7.5,7

OMO I shouted eh, chai this God e too good oh...

But in all I think what I learnt is that each of the criteria is VERY important. I may have failed TA by I guess the rest were on point for me to get a 7. I was really conscious of my CC and GRA.

Anyway see you guys in the hall tomorrow cos I cannot come and waste my 75k. Beside if the writing reach 7.5 e no bad joor....

It was a concern of mine, but no more. You must factor in that ITAs are a means to a target and that is PR admissions. ITAs can be declined by candidates and applications can rejected by IRCC. We don't know the rates of either.

I think now that what they are looking at is PR landing which is still within range (about 168,000 between Jan-Jul 2018 out of a target of about 310,000). Considering that PR admissions target for next year is higher than this year's and noting that high numbers of ITAs are still being issued, I'm relaxed for now.

Please I would.like to find out if I would have issues as I want to do medicals by end of October, and I am expecting my ECA first week of November, assuming there is a draw last week of November would there be any issue with the one month difference between medicals and ITA.
i leave in Ph and currently on leave, would one do at least do my medicals within my leave period and get an excuse for biometrics.

Wow, such good result stained by the writing score. Of course you should apply for the writing remark. High chance they'll upgrade it. Go to BC and fill a request for remark. Costs 15k. Takes 2 to 4 weeks or so from when the request is received by the examiners, though some have reported not getting feedback until 8-10 weeks. You'd need to apply within 6 weeks of seeing your score.

If its under personal history only, you dont require documents for that.

I'm just thinking of travelling to those states to get reference letters.

They are two separate states and are far from where i currently live

Why would it be stressful... More likely than not, documents will not be requested for activities that you list under personal history. But it states that you should list all the activities you've undertaken in the last 10 years; so for whatever reason you think it'll be stressful, consider how stressful living in Nigeria is if you fail to be truthful and are caught.

i dont plan to put my NYSC and internship work experiences because i dont want to have to travel to those places to get reference letter. i plan to use my current job only as I have worked here for more than 3 years. I am worried though of them wondering about the gap between my year of graduation and when i started working

Any advice?

I have a experience i will like to share with you all, This post is a bit long so bear with me

Sometime in 2015, I posted a thread on this forum about my baby girl not eating, ( i would have loved to post the link here but i dont know how to do that). Anyway about 5 months after posting that thread my little angel passed away at age 21months.. The hospital gave the cause of death as resistant malaria/sepsis. But i KNEW she did not die of malaria. I had never felt so helpless in my life because in my capacity as a healthcare professional i felt we did everthing possible to save her.

fastforward to a year later, my second child who was 3 months old at the time of the sad event (now 15months old) started showing all the syptoms her late sister was showing, First not eating, then vomitting, then constant fevers that had no cure, even bloated stomach. I think all children clinics in my state knew us by then, my colleagues pulled strings to get us into big clinics; it was in one of those 'BIG' clinics a doctor referred to her case as fever of unknown origin... My people; I knew the meaning of the Word FEAR!!! No way was i letting them admit her and start doing trial and error till her little body gave out..

then the well wishers came with different solutions. I heard all kinds of things; how its from my husband's family or my ancestors, we got referred to several prayer houses; someone even mentioned Ogbanje. I was open to ANY solution because i knew I just could not watch my second child die the way the first did.

Then somebody ( an in law) mentioned Native treatment. Now I'm a healthcare professionals so I had no faith At all in native treatment, But at the time i was desperate for any solution,Where before i would have thumbed up my nose i had to pause and give it a serious thought.. so one saturday we drove to the village to one old man that was almost blind.. he checked her and Diagnosed Umeafor (supposedly inflammation of the spleen). At this time we had done several scans so i was doubtful, how can this old man see an enlarged spleen that scans did not show. he said he could treat it and mentioned his fee. i think it was 500 naira. So i said go ahead since orthodox medicine has failed me what have I got to loose by this?

I had to watch a dirty woman hold my child down while this old man seared her stomach with hot knive heated in firewood open flame. I think I kept telling myself if this will make her live then fine. After that he gave us concotion and we went home. That night my child's fever went higher than it has ever done before. I actually thought she will start convulsing. Old man did not have phone so we called old uncle in the village who took us there. It was about 1am and we were about to rush her to hospital. Old uncle said NO Hospitals, she must not be pierced with needles. he said as long as she has been cut with that knive she won't convulse. so we waited and watched and prayed and rubbed her plenty ude aki..

The day broke simultaneosly with her fever, we watched her break into a sweat and fall into a deep peaceful sleep, I did not leave her side all through, i kept watching to make sure was still breathing. Now I know some people may not beleive it but that was the END of the fever. I kept giving her the concotion and gradually her apetite returned and the paleness of her skin disappered, and for the next 12months my child was FREE of EVERY ailment. I think for the first time in my life as a mother I had PEACE. no unending catarrh, no continous cough, no fever, no rash, no vomitting. all the nurofen and calpol and rophegan i had in store before was thrown out. My child was healthy and bouncing..

she is almost 3 years now and I can count how many times she has taken antimalarial since then ( before this we treated her malaria every month) and she has definitely never been admitted or injected since then. To me Its nothing short of a miracle.. It could be the prayers that finally worked, I dont know but what I know is this; sholud any of my child or relatives have similiar issues we are going straight to baba in the village ( that is if he is still alive oh)..

The fact is I use my experiences a lot as I find that is the fastest way to come up with ideas. I guess I have to "tweak" it a bit.

Hi to an extent I agree with the tweaking. I had 3 IELTS attempts writing was 7 first attempt rewrote the IELTS then cos of listening, 2nd attempt writing was 6.5 then I had a rethink and last attempt writing was 8.5. What did I do differently studied a lot more Liz was really helpful in my case even though i also used other materials and you tube videos based on random google search for good materials and then I told myself that this was an exam and not a personal thing, I recall in the last 2 I always used my actual personal experiences when writing my essays, this time around I thought about what I felt the examiner wanted to read (I recall making a case for a preference for bicycles over cars in the city �) and prepared my essays that way of cause using the guidelines I got from Liz. You need to also give yourself time to read through to be sure you have limited your spelling or grammatical mistake to the barest minimum. Finally I started off with task 2, in the last 2 I started off with task 1, cos in my head the exam was meant to be easy (irony) but because I just wanted to do something different and I knew task 2 had more points allocated to it, I decided to start off with this to take off the pressure that just in case I was pressed for time at the ending I would have written task 2 properly. I am not sure if this helps but this was my experience. Cheers

I had a discussion with a friend a sometimes ago. He just had a 7 in writing after 3 or 4 attempts (don't remember which) after having 6.5 in earlier attempts.
I was arguing that people are being marked down in writing. He said maybe not, maybe the examiners are on to something. While preparing for the last exam, he decided to change how he wrote. He said he noticed he used to write his introductory paragraph the same way and so decided to tweak it. He believed that was why his score changed.
I don't know if he was right, but I'm posting this in case it helps somebody. Maybe we can assess how we have been writing and change it. Maybe the model we have been using is being screened out by the examiners. Maybe too many people are writing the same way.
Just a thought.
Btw, he did his IELTS in the middle-east.

I had an encounter like that once. There is this colleague of my husband, apparently they must have had something in the past; I dont know and frankly I did not care. Anyway she started a small buisness and the products is something we use regularly in our home so we were patronising her. whenever we needed it hubby will send her a wats app chat and she would supply it, we would then transfer her money to her. sometimes I would be the one sending her messages with hubby's phone.

One day after I requested the product ( using hubby's phone) she assured me she would supply it; next thing to my greatest shock series of messages started entering hubby's phone from her... The talk was plenty but the gist of it was she loved him in the past, he did not treat her well despite that uptill now she is still in love with him. bla bla bla.. This lady is married ohh...

The first thing i thought was that it has to be a mistake because I have always know her as hubby's colleague. so I asked him; Did you date...? he said No!! I gave him the phone and said why is she sending these messages Anyway let's skip the explanations but my hubby took it up immediately and called her and started asking her why she should be sending him such messages bla bla bla. she apologised...

Needless to say we dont patronise her again. I saw her chats asking why he doesnt place order anymore that she has said she is sorry and it wont happen again, Hubby did not even reply her..

Forgive my long story ooo.. but I just wanted to illistrate. Why will the lady keep sending messages if somehow your husband is not encouraging her? so the person you should be quarelling with is your husband and not the lady...

Exactly. Teething could be the problem.

My daughter is about 17months old and she hardly eats too. Doctor told us she's probably teething and we are lucky she's not running temperature. Obviously, she's not sick cause she's energetic and playful but she just won't eat. She prefers drinking tea, caprisonne, sweets, ice-cream. Anything but solids.

OP, I'm almost sure your daughter is teething too. No worries.

Yes I have noticed some teeth eruptions, I mentioned it to the doctor but he didn't seem convinced that it can cause loss of appetite for this long. I hope its just the teething, at first I wasn't worried but the weight loss? she went from 12kg to 9.8kg in 2weeks.
