You see? I told you that you dont have anything useful or sensible to say. You finally succeeded in rubbishing yourself.

Good morning dear

The thing is what makes you think the rest are wrong? Explain that. And It would be the same reason why the others think yours is wrong. SMH... White men just came with a religion from no where and you're defending it with all your might. Think you think the colonialists would have ever given us something to help our selves? No it's to actually just exploit and control us.

THINK.

The point is not the concept. The point is the legitimacy of Jesus' claims.

The idea of Messiah is not a new one.

So many Messiahs are still proclaiming themselves even today, yet they are all TOTALLY WRONG and Jesus is right. The Jews and Muslims are still waiting for their Messiah, not knowing that He is already come.

Nigeria operates a similar style of governance with that of America, does it mean that our own is totally illegitimate just because its not novel?

Is it not the actions of politicians that determine whether or not the system is workable and not the framework itself?

Listen to your self... Jesus claimed some of his disciples would still be there at the worlds end. Where are they now? How legitimate?

News flash... Other religions think your own messiah is wrong too. Shey you know? You would have been spinning a different tale if you were Muslim or Indian.

Science and history is almost destroying you; yes the FOOL says in his heart there is no God but I bet you Mr science and history with little Brain you cannot prove that God does not exist. That is my single challenge to you. You want to eat your cake and have it sorry

And you religion is destroying you... I can't proove God doesn't exist neither can I prove he does.... I'm Agnostic not Atheist mind you.. I'm just saying because I don't know how the world came about doesn't mean I should go believing bullshit because my parents told me and their parents told them. I don't believe in the Big Bang theory either, because I find flaws in it. You that is so sure about God's existence, prove it I know you'll say some shit from your bible. Which particular God are you even saying exists, they're like 5000 gods out there.

You dont get it. If older religions have the "same Christ-like character" then what remains is to check what the difference is between their own version and that of Christianity.

In thousands of years of religion and myth, is it so impossible that some intelligent humans could come up with a similar idea, being faced with the ubiquitous problem of human sin?

Why is that an issue?

You dont reason very well, thats your problem.

Then that's it na.. Then it's all made up. Thank goodness you know it's older religions... If they (Intelligent Humans) could come up with the same concept before Christianity then it's all made up. That's the point. It's actually a show of ignorance if you just ignore it that a major key factor in your religion that you revere so much and have given all your time to is found in older religions that you describe as devilish and barbaric. It is you that doesn't reason well. It shows it's all fake, copy and paste.

Look my friend, you need to try to be sensible. What you wrote up there is not even making sense.

Pontius Pilate was the governor of Judea for 10 years and had Jesus convicted and sentenced to death for sedition. Some years after that, he was removed from office for improper conduct and sent back to Rome. You can find this information anywhere.

The fact that the concept of a negative afterlife is replicated in faiths all around the world is not a problem.

Eternal death is an existence devoid of the presence of God. As far as the person has understood this, the choice is theirs.

The fact that other religions contain similar themes with the life and times of Jesus is not a problem. He does not exist in a culture-less vacuum. His case must be made to human beings in a way that they can understand.

In fact, that is even more reason to look into and discover the truth of the Cross. If Jesus' story were totally unheard of, you would still complain.

It is actually a very disturbing problem if other older religions have this same christ like character as the bible. It is because it would feel like there's something they're not telling us.

If you dont have any serious refutations to tell me, I'll desist from answering you hereinafter because all of what youre writing is just hollow conjecture that can never bother any Christian on the whole of planet Earth.

I can see you have no answer to this one that means your not Mr wise after all. You are one of those who believe every letter written on the net but totally blinded by the ones telling you the truth. You are afraid of following the Bible because you cannot keep to its clearly written instructions of staying away from sin. You want to live in sin and enjoy Gods benefits sorry

Think for your sake... Most of you aren't even Christians because of faith, no it's fear. The main weapon of religion. Ask your self this what's the need for hell if your God so loves you. Why can't God kill the devil if his so powerful. You know why? Because every movie, Cartoon, Anime, story, needs a nemesis for it to remain interesting to the fans. Quote me anywhere.

Fly out... You don't know me so don't judge, I don't believe anything I see flaws in and your bible and other religions are one of them. Your God is not proven to exist, well only in your minds. Even if the Pope, Britain comes down to confess that they used Christianity to brainwash us and loot our resources you lot would still say it's a trick by the devil, I told you that Zoarostarianism is one of the religions copied by Christianity and you're still here arguing nonsense. If your God wanted us not to sin he should have not created sin in the first place. All religions are fake and created by men to control the populace.

There is no single religion older than Christianity. Are you seeing the Bible from the time of Christ or from Adam? The Bible is from Adam and right there in the garden of Eden God told the devil that a woman's seed will bruise his head which is Jesus Christ. I have one question for you where does dreams come from

Jesu Kristi... Guy you're deluded... He's telling you the bible and Christianity are mere eventions cut out from far older religions and you're here arguing that "Are you seeing the Bible from the time of Christ or from Adam? " Stupidity at it's finest.... So because the bible has Adam and eve it's the oldest right?

Yes ooo I am free from eternal death in my Christ Jesus kiss Believe and be saved!

If eternal death means Hell then do you know the concept of hell was made up by the Romans to control the growing roman populace at that time. Do you know Jesus Christ shares the same story with several other deities like Buddha, Horus etc which are even more older than the christian religion it self. In fact there's no proof of Christ ever dying. Most and all the experiences that Christians claim comes from God are experienced by people from other religions too. Ask your Muslim brothers.

Hahahaha cheesy "intellectual", please ride on smh

PS. Please go and read on the concept of "redemption" before making a mockery of yourself in public bahaha

Jesus took away the punishment so that you would be free from death due to sinful nature and not to ginger you to do whatever you want.

Anybody who was truly grateful for such a sacrifice would obey Jesus' commandments out of appreciation and not look for ways to circumvent them.

Im sure you just curse and insult your parents anyhow, after all they wont disown you right? Smh

So are you now free from death? Don't you die? WTF? SMH?

As far as I am concerned....Confra is DEAD!!! What we have now are GANG groups in universities, these gang groups now have affiliate groups outside campus.

Vikings have Icelanders, Greenlanders, Red Skin, JVC etc

Klansmen have the Debam gang group.

NBM have the Luton gang group.

These groups come in handy once there is street war.

This is so true.... Groups such as the Icelanders, Greenlanders, JVC and the Debam ( Bobos) are the main causes of violence in Bayelsa state. Despite that it was confirmed that 50 or so cults existed there like the Klaint force, Black city, Chineke Boys, Glemment girls, Geges etc.

Ijo was never an ethnic nationality until after Nigeria/Biafra war. The dude who mentioned something like Oru was heading to the right direction in this discuss.

The Oru are a people the Ijaws are said to have originated from. They even beared the name a long time ago. It is not really clear where the Oru originated from but folks who study linguistic and cultural studies say they're related to ancient inhabitants of the lower Nile valley or something like that. These inhabitants called themselves the Anu or Onu the followers of Horus.

They only have strength in numbers and weapons.

Almost all my childhood friends that "belonged" died like animals; butchered, mutilated, got shot, in prison, running from town to town to escape rival groups, police, etc. No rest of mind.

When they can't steal, begging is their portion.

Take this from someone who grew up in YENAGOA, BAYELSA STATE.

In the most dangerous parts of town; within a radius of SWALI, DOWN YENAGOA, ARIETALLIN, GWEGWE, OBELE, OVOM, TRINITY.

Groups include; ICELAND, GREENLAND, BORBOS, GREENQUEEN, etc.

All in all, I can't pick a single thing they gained.

Tell me how you felt about the place, people, their language, their variety of Nigerian Pidgin etc. Thanks a million in advance.

It is why I laugh when recently Lagos guys are now into street gangs. Calling themselves Aro, Aiye and Eiye. I just laugh.

It has never paid anyone. I am a PH Guy. Born, Bred and "Butterred" (or "Kpakoed" depending on what knocks you out). Port Harcourt towed this line and it became a dead town. Investments moved out. Businesses couldn't thrive. Who wants to do business in a war zone where you are robbed, extorted etc. Clubs and pubs died out. The white guys who patronized these places fizzled out too.

When it started it was somewhat interesting. With all the "Who goes you.. "? "Aboi dia.. Who goes you". "Die it"! "We go overboard you o" "Common, Elegem face"!. But then we did not know the shit storm we were getting into. Port Harcourt till date has not recovered from the negative impacts of street gangs, shootings, killings and militarization.

No City should ever tow this line. It is retrogressive. It never leads to development. Secondly, no group can thrive well without the backing of godfathers and sponsors. They were all sponsored by politicians. It is also why I say the politicians will never want the police to be reorganised and sensitized. They need the police as horrible as it is so they can opress people with them. They will never settle for a reasonable and reformed police force that will refuse to intimidate their opponents or the poor. They want them poor, hungry and broke so they can control them. Porverty is a useful tool for controlling the poor. The more impoverished they are, the more they are desperate and willing to do crazy things for the politician.

I was at Iwofe through out this period. The Tombia crises sent Iwofe running. I came back from Uniport and saw my mum had fled barefooted with people around Rumuolumeni axis. grin. It is funny now but it wasnt then being a refuge in your own state. At night gunshots could be heard from Tombia in Iwofe. The anxiety and panic.

By the way, I was thinking after Prince Igodo was killed we heard his brother "Adisababa" took over?

Same problem we have in Bayelsa... it has become a culture in Yenagoa and it's environs.. it's so bad ehh

1st of all, among those you mentioned, there are about 50 to 100 of others within the state and region you didn't mention who will be building too on that location. Equity.
2ndly, what you don't know is that that IBB, abdulsalaam etc given lands will have to develop them. By doing so, they are transferring a part of their wealth to bayelsa state. Transfer of wealth.
3rdly, all the people you mentioned will employ from skilled manpower like builders, architects down to the unskilled manpower like labourers, even bukka sellers at the site. Distribution of income.
4th, do you know that whether they are Hausa, Yoruba, igbo, ijaw or even Lebanese, by the time they develop the lands allocated to them, a high brow city is born in that state which will help drive the real estate value of the state to a whole new level. Real estate growth.
In a few years, with such initative, that tiny bayelsa state as you called it will have a greater real estate worth than Niger.

Samuel Nkemakolem , Yenagoa
No fewer than five suspected cultists have lost their lives in a renewed cult war in Yenagoa , the capital of Bayelsa State , in a week of violence , sorrow and tears .
Two young men were beheaded by suspected cultists in the metropolis following a battle for supremacy between the Greenlanders and Debam , also known as Bobos .
The three others were also killed in Obele , Saint Peters Church and Swali area of the state capital.
It was gathered that the clash started with the killing of a senior ranking officer of the Bobos by the rival group on Sunday .
He was said to have been slaughtered and his neck severed after his assailants had inflicted several machete cuts on him .
A member of the rival group was cut with machete to death in front of his church on Swali Road , while others were killed in the Obele area during a clash between the groups.
The killings caused pandemonium among residents of the area as most of them were seen moving out of the troubled zone , while the suspected cultists were moving about with weapons .
A source confirmed that the killing of a leader of the Greenlanders was responsible for the renewed cult war.
Our correspondent gathered that the killings started on Obele Street and Saint Peters Road and later led to the murder of two men in the Akaba community .
Meanwhile, a mob action has claimed the lives of two teenagers accused of being armed robbers in the city .
One of them was stoned to death in front of the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Nikton Road , Kpansia , a suburb of Yenagoa .
He was said to have been chased by an angry mob to the front of the church after he and two other gang members allegedly robbed some residents on Samtax Road .

The other victim was beaten to death at Yenizuegene , along the Mbiama -Yenagoa Road , after he was said to have been caught snatching a phone from a lady.
He was said to have given up the ghost after he was pummelled by the angry mob.
Eyewitnesses said the young man had snatched a phone from a lady but was caught by the mob, who descended on him .
Contacted on the development, the spokesman for the Bayelsa State Police Command, Asinim Butswat , confirmed the deaths, saying , “ The police have responded by conducting repeated raids on black spots in the area and strategising on how to apprehend the ring leaders . ”
He , however , decline comments on the number of casualties , saying the police had not recovered the corpses .
