IJAW SHOULD QUEUE UP TO ESN.

FORMING ANOTHER ONE MAKES NO SENSE, BECAUSE WHERE WILL THEY POLICE?

IS IT CROSS RIVERS, AKWA IBOM, DELTA STATE OR RIVERS STATE?

OR IS IT JUST BAYELSA? EVEN BAYELSA HAVE OTHER ETHNIC GROUP.

IS YENAGOA IJAW?

Yes Yenagoa is Ijaw.

Ok, good for you. Was it not an Ijaw man as a governor that changed many Igbo community names to something that is meaningless in Igbo language (e.g Obigbo to Oyigbo) inorder to claim that Igbo has no foot in Rivers State. Thank God that today everything is backfiring.

Well my own is that, every ethnic group has done one thing or the other that wasn't good. Igbos too aren't excluded so stop acting like you're the only victim. Everybody here is a victim.

Story for the gods. In the old Rivers State when ijaws were holding power, did they give work/job to anybody bearing Igbo name?

How was Ikwerre and other Igbo groups in Rivers State treated? The attitude of ijaws and maltreatment of you Igbo clans in the old Rivers state by the ijaws catalysed the Igbo identity denial. Don't come here and tell us rubbish, nobody is a child here.

In the early 1990s I was living in portharcourt with my parents.

lol... I see your pessimism won't end so I rest my case.

Lol, Opobo and Bonny, Igbos proud members of IYC? Maybe it's those ones you were able to brainwashed that if they accept their Igbo identity other Nigerians will kill them or will not give them job.

We didn't brainwash anybody guy. They all chose to be called Ijaw by themselves, nobody forced them. Blood knows blood. I admit there are igbo elements in their culture and language but you know those two stuffs are actually very dynamic. None of us here are one tribe genetically. My grandmother is Igbo , my great grandfather is Creole but I identify as Ijaw because I and my people choose too.

When did Ijaw even get the means to brainwash people sef.

Ijaws like claiming people and people's land. Whatever they see in Bayelsa state, southern parts of Delta, Rivers, and Edo including the riverine areas of Ondo and Akwa ibom states even when they are speaking different languages with them is ijaw.

How can you say people who speak language different from yours but same with another is your people? Ijaws are the real land grabbers in the south and whenever you attempt to tell them that these people are your people they term you land grabbers, people who went as far as claiming Ndoki, Opobo and Bonny in Rivers State, Ekpeye and Ogba in Rivers and Bayelsa states.

This their attitude is the reason why they are hostile with their neighbors. They have fought with the itsekiri, Urhobo, Ikwerre and Ilaje people of Ondo state, they have attempted and threatened Edo people with war. They use oil deposit, rivers and state boundary as yardsticks for determining their Ijaw ethnicity.

Any Urhobo, Igbo, Benin or Yoruba town or land surrounded by Rivers with oil deposits is assumed by them to be Ijaw land.

lol..I would have loved to educate you but I don't have strength. FYI Ijaw doesn't claim Ekpeye and Ogba. I've never heard of that but I know Bonny , Opobo , Kalabari and Okirika are proud members of IYC.

A few Ijaw youths did something but the entire Ijaw population is being bashed for it. And why do you all still cry about Amnesty benefits given to mostly Ijaw people. How many Ibibios , Annang and all others carried guns to fight, how many of them died for the sake of the region. To tell you the trith, they actually deserve it.

if you want to hear more of this slangs, watch ITKcomedy concept. or listen to Abobi Eddie Roll's music. na only lagos, Benin and warrior get slangs ni?

And the two names you mentioned there are actually from Bayelsa. A lot of this slangs are used in Bayelsa too, and it's not only by cultists.
Crime / Re: Thirty (30) Slangs You Should Never Use In Port Harcourt by Sinistami(m): 6:15am On Dec 03, 2020
chatinent:
Port Harcourt is one of the most popular and biggest cities in Nigeria. Located in the South Southern region, it is the capital of the oil producing Rivers State.

Living in Port Harcourt has its own perks and downsides. The perks been it is home to most delicious bole and fish while the downside is it is home to some of the dreaded cult groups in Nigeria.

These cult groups mainly made up by Vikings, Iceland, Dembam, Dewell, Greenlanders, have unique cult Slangs that are now been associated with Port Harcourt. You often seen these slangs been used on social media however, if you're not a cult member, it is strongly advised you don't use it in PH.

Here are top slangs in Port Harcourt and their Meanings in English:

1. Cut Put For My Body

It means to give one part of something like money.

2. Shenkes/Bani/Kpalas

They are used to refer to a girl

3. Bobo juice

10. Disembark

15. 411

19. Who goes you

24. Chillax

It means to cool down or calm down

25. I dey H

26. You too dey cap cap

It means you are talking too much

27. Deck down

It means to sit down

28. Sea rough

Things are hard

29. Selina

It means jazz or juju

30. Compass

It means location.

Note that using these slangs in Port Harcourt might get you in trouble especially when you say it around people who belong to a particular cult group.

Know the meaning so you won't be confused when someone used it around you.

Hope you enjoyed reading this? I look forward to having your feedbacks below.

This thread is very misleading. Portharcourt is actually one of the places you'd be more safer using this slangs because they're all seen as normal there after Portharcourt then Bayelsa is actually another place all these slangs are used although Bayelsa's own has a more Ijaw and traditional Nigerdeltan flavour to it.

A bunch of the slangs used there sef are not even cult slangs..the cult slangs there are Die it, Wida, Who goes, Jass out , Jass in , disembark etc The rest are normal like lap, compass, abobi , manchi etc are normal. Plus the OP got a lot of the meanings wrong like compass.

Hello, good morning everyone. I've been reading a lot of topics about the Ijaw and have come across certain posts that say Ijaw originally came as European ship indentured servants from as far away as Ghana, Togo, India etc.

please I'd like someone to elaborate on this since I haven't read any true historical book that confirmed this. No insults, it's just arouses my curiousity.

Thanks in advance.

Family / A Cream Named Funbarth-all. by Sinistami(m): 6:37pm On Oct 27, 2020
Hello people! I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this but here goes.

My mom bought this cream from the market called Funbarth-ALL thinking it was like a body cream version of Funbact-A. I've been looking at the cream for hours now and I haven't seen the companies trademarks and there's little information about it in the net.

I just want to know if anybody here knows of any such cream or have used it. Were they any damages at all? I need to know before she uses it. please if you have , give me info.

Be wise.

If the buhari government had favoured that particular section of the country by giving them juicy appointments and promising them presidency, I swear they would be no protest today from this particular section of the country.

Remember this same set of people were laughing and rejoicing when crocodile smile and python dance went to the SS and SE.
