But on the flipside, the OP moniker and the what he posted is contradicting! Sinkills, you say is your moniker and you don't believe in Hell fire. Seriously, it's high time i sleep with all what i'm seeing on nairaland! As a Christian and a believer in the Holy Scriptures, I quite believe there is hell fire because the Bible says so. You need to read what I wrote to know where I stand and my purpose of opening this thread. Thanks and may God help you and I to live according to His will till the end in Jesus' name, Amen. |

To God be the glory. Same thing happened at Alimosho Lagos. A young man who got mad from the university for 12 years got healed. His father was there and confirmed it. Our God is doing a lot of wonders: the blind, the deaf, the dumb, the lame, cancer, diabetes, ulcer, fibroids, kidney failure patients and people with various deformities etc are getting their healings. God is great! You will get your own in Jesus' name, Amen. |

emmkeffs: Well sorry to disappoint you. 80% of what is in your bible are made up stories. a lot of the practice and doctrines are borrowed cultures from other religions before jesus came. I don't hate people because they say they are religious but hate when people as a result of what they have been made to believe turn themselves into religious crusaders all in the name of salvation, repentance and conversion. xtians and all religious people see the product of what man created as a blessing of God when they should consider one and the highest commandment is love. Xtians say they follow Jesus when in reality its opposite. The church is built on corruption and mind control mechanism. Go to your history and you will find out that religion is harmful to humanity as a specie. Once in this part of the world, the internet came from the pit of hell, attachment was hellish according to you professed xtians but today you have all accepted that its good. TRUTH must first be rejected, castigated before it is accepted. OK then. You are entitled to your decision. But point of correction. I am not religious. I am a Christian. The two are not the same. I heard the gospel, repented, believed in Christ and my life changed from a sinner to a saint. Religion cannot do it. Only the transforming power of Christ can do that. So I am talking from the experencial salvation that I got in the early hours of Thursday, the 18th of November, 1999. I then got sanctified and baptised in the Holy Spirit. After that I received divine healing for pile, heart burns, ulcer, ear ache, and upper respiratory tract infection. God done a lot of other miracles in my life and through me for others. I am somebody who does not follow people sheepishly. I always want to experience something myself. So I know from experience that the Bible is true. Some churches or some so called pastors may be corrupt or whatsoever. That does not concern me. All I know is that once I was a dirty, corrupt and stubborn sinner, now I am saved. It is a personal race. May it not be too late for you to get the salvation I got in Jesus' name, Amen. |

Maximus85: If hell means a place of torment, then wetin Jesus go do for there? Fine, hell was mentioned in the Bible. But fire was never attached to it. Without the fire, hell means something else which is just a normal grave. Lake of fire was mentioned in revelations and that place says it means second death. I dare anyone to show me where "Hell fire" is mentioned in the Bible.
I'm waiting....... Matthew 25:41,46, Mark 9:43-48, Luke16:23, 24,28, Matthew 23:33, Luke12:4,5 (humans bury inside the grave, only God has the power to do more and that is why He is the One we must fear) etc. |

afroxyz: For religion to be potent, its prolytizers have to first convince you that your soul is in trouble. That's the role hell plays in Christianity. But then I ask, how would God judge our forefathers who did not hear the imported gospel of Christianity? What parameters would he use? Also, how can God punish man for a sinful nature which man unwillingly obliged since according to the bible we are all born into sin? He created man, birthed him into sin and yet punish him for a sin that he has no hand in. So that means a day old baby would be sent to hell right? Then how can you tell me that Jesus who died 2000 years ago died for a sin which I have not yet committed? I am very sure I can't trace my lineage 2000 years back. So that means God already knows we would sin and yet punishes us. And yet he is merciful. My conclusion is that there is no hell. Simple! Hello friend, you are entitled to your conclusion. But point of correction: babies and other toddlers who are not yet up to the age of accountability cannot go to hell. The way you reason however shows that you are not within that range. As you rightly pointed out, it is not your fault nor mine that you and I were born with the nature of sin but it is our fault if we choose to remain in sin till death. I pray you don't. I have chosen not to. You will avoid hell in Jesus' name, Amen. |
Christianity Etc › Does One Need Baptism To Be Saved? by Sinkills(op): 11:26pm On Jul 24, 2016 |
One of the ordinances that Christ gave believers is that those who repent and believe the gospel should be baptised in order to be saved (Mark 16:15,16). As such, some people emphasize baptism even at infancy believing that it washes away sins while others emphasize baptism for their members. It is clear from the bible that the most important thing is repentance from sin and faith in Christ. After the experience of conversion, one can then seek for water baptism to 'fulfill all righteousness". The thief on the cross did not have opportunity to be baptised in water yet he went to paradise (Luke 23:42,43). |

Politics › Do We Need A Foreign President? by Sinkills(op): 3:42am On Jul 23, 2016 |
Nigeria is a heterogenous, multi-ethnic country. It is very obvious that part of Nigeria's problem is tribalism or ethnic sentiments. The various tribes usually perceive issues differently. There is also a lot of mutual suspicion. This accounts for why anybody in authority has the tendency to surround himself with people from his tribe, region or ethnic group. He feels more comfortable with them than with people from other ethnic groups. He also feels it is his people's turn to enjoy the 'national cake' more so he uses his opportunity to empower his tribesmen to the disadvantage of others. Naturally, his tribesmen will throw their weight behind him and justify this kind of nepotism. However, other ethnic groups will kick, whine and complain and there will be tensions and agitations. Apart from that, people hardly see anything good in whatever a leader from a hated tribe does. There is the pull him down syndrome. Can the solution then be to have a foreign leader who will only care about competence and merit and not where you come from? Neocolonialism aside, I think we seriously need a detribalized leader to get us out of these doldrums and economic/social quackmire. But can we get a native Nigerian who is truly detribalized and non sentimental or do we need a foreign leader? |

He said however that the constitution constrains him to make appointments from every state so that no section of the country will be marginalised. The constitution only makes reference to ministerial appointment for each state. It is now the discretion of the president on other non ministerial appointments which he has exercised by giving virtually all strategic and juicy positions to the Muslim North. What if the constitution does not mandate the president on ministerial appointment for each state? I think we should be concerned about the increased ethnic tensions by the Niger Delta Avengers and others as well as feelings of marginalizations and how it can be curbed so that we can live peacefully as one country. Rather he started talking about those who voted for him and those who did not and how he will repay them which to me was absolutely unnecessary. Well, anybody can make a mistake. But it appears it was not a mistake. The president apparently is implementing an agenda to favour the core Muslim north. Goodness and honesty are a cosmic irrelevance to you.
Obedience is first and foremost.
What happened to your humanity? Being well behaved and of good character are commendable, morally ok and acceptable. However, for the sake of heaven, no one's good manners is good enough to qualify for heaven. This is because we are all sinners by nature. We cannot mix our supposed goodness with our inbred sin and be eligible for heaven. We need to settle the issue of sin through genuine repentance. Then we need to put on the righteousness of Christ by exercising faith on His finished work on the Cross of Calvary. It is only the imputed and imparted righteousness from Christ that qualifies us for heaven. However, we must be careful to do good and live a life well pleasing to God AFTER SALVATION. Any good works before salvation are classified as dead works by the Scriptures (Hebrews 9:13,14) and therefore inconsequential salvation-wise. God bless you. |

The warning to avoid the damnation of hell is born out of nothing but love. If there is a danger ahead of you and someone informs you not to continue in that direction due to the danger ahead, I guess, the person warned will be grateful to whosoever foretold him of the impending danger. Nobody's goodness or honesty is good enough to save or earn him a place in heaven. It is only genuine repentance and faith in Christ, who bore the penalty of the sinful world that is acceptable to God. But is not mere mental assent. It is a complete conversion from a sinner to a saint with the attendant power to live in newness of life of purity, righteousness and holiness, old things having passed away. It happened to me years back. May God to it in your life I J N, Amen. |

There are people who seriously doubt the existence of hell fire - a place where unrepentant sinners are punished forever. Some agree that since the Holy Scriptures affirm its existence including Christ Himself (Psalms 9:17; Matthew 25:41,46; Luke 12:4,5; 16:22-31) then hell fire must be real. There are others who think that God is too merciful to cast the people He created into hell fire for all eternity. Well, you are entitled to your thoughts. However, my take is that one should be on the safer side. If you live your life with the belief that there is hell fire and you die only to discover that there is nothing like that, you don't have anything to lose, do you? On the other hand, if you believe there is no hell fire which affects tour attitude, lifestyle and choices and then you die only to be confronted with the reality of its existence, what will you do? |

Part of Nigerian's problem is corruption. Another is deep division along ethnic, regional, religious and lately partisan political lines. The present government gave us hope of stamping corruption from the polity so as to make it less attractive. Now that they are in power, it is apparent that the fight against the cankerworm of corruption is being used for political leverage over the opposition. Surprisingly, some are cheering the government on. It appears their real motive is not to see corruption totally stamped out but that the opposition is weakened and even annihilated. Some even opine that it is okay for the government to be partisan about the fight. To them, when the opposition which the government apparently wants crippled gets to power, then they can in turn target the opposition! What a patriotic disposition! Please, let us put aside sentiments of fanatical support, bragging rights, party affiliation, ethnicity, regionalism and religion. Let us join hands to put pressure on the government to make the war against corruption total, without fear or favour. If the political will that is deployed to fish out the allegedly corrupt among the opposition is applied across board, Nigeria will be great again and the president will have written his name in gold. God bless Nigeria. |

otem4eartum: The testimonies you hear are all forged by those who thought that they have been healed by faith. I can swear on my life that no miracle actually happened there. Those people who testified only did this based on faith, thinking that as soon as they get hone, they'll be actually healed. That's the main reason why those you see sharing testimonies are those who will come to say I HAVE ULCER, STOMACH PAIN, HEADACHE, BACKACHE, COUGH, CATARRH. they think they are healed if what they say they have didn't manifest much on the crusade ground. But when they return home, they still spot those things there. Now please personally visit some people who you heard their testimonies and ask them again. Did you not see that all the real lame people, blind people, people with real ailments, none of them was cured? Or you didn't see those with crutches returning back home with their crutches? Although you might have helped some of them walk a bit, telling them to exercise faith, if indeed you are an usher, you'll notice that none of those really afflicted people you were helping to direct didn't get cured. And if you can really say that all of them are cured, then I'll personally seek the hand of nature that the stroke of Mr. Silas, a 61 year old man who came to the crusade should come upon you. And I'll personally beg nature that the strong eye problem of Mr Francis should come on you, because their problems are still with them till today.
Think, think, think, man! THE MORE YOU LOOK, THE LESS YOU SEE!!! NOBODY WAS ACTUALLY HEALED ON THAT GROUND AND I CAN PUT DOWN MY LIFE ON THE LINE ON THAT.
Now at the bolded, OUR BODY HEALS FROM MINOR DISEASES LIKE THE ONES YOU HAVE MENTIONED THAT YOU WERE DIVINELY HEALED FROM. I CAN TELL YOU THAT ALMOST ALL THOSE THINGS YOU SAID YOU WERE HEALED FROM BY DIVINE INTERVENTION ARE NATURAL HEALINGS ORDAINED BY GOD FOR EVERYONE. I HAVE ALWAYS NATURALLY BEEN HEALED TOO, BUT ASSUMING I PRAYED WHEN I HAVE MY PROBLEMS, I WOULD HAVE ALSO THOUGHT THAT IT WAS MY PRAYERS THAT REMOVED THEM. NO SIR, IT'S THE WORK OF NATURE. PRAYER OR NO PRAYER, YOU'LL GET CURED FROM SOME SICKNESSES.
Did you get any of those cures from a specific crusade ground? If no, then you were naturally cured from them all. The fact is that the mad, dumb, lame and crippled among others were healed as has been the case everywhere the man of God goes for ministration. Some people may not have been healed. The reason is best known to God. Another day may be there own day. My own late mother once had stroke but started walking again miraculously. I am not typing this for you who and your likes who have an ox to grind with God and evangelical Christianity and want to draw ignorant people to your side. From the information provided by one of the testifiers, she came to the previous crusade but did not get healed so did the young man that was mad for twelve years from a campus who was cured at the crusade. But this time around, they got their miracles. It is possible for some people with problems to come to a crusade or Church program where some are healed without getting healed their own healing. The reason I may not know. But they should not give up. Another day may be theirs. But to state that miracles are not real is to deny the existence of the miracle Worker, God Himself or to allege that pastor Kumuyi asked people to forge testimony is to accuse the holiness preacher falsely. OtemWonyahweh: Songs of Otem CHAPTER EIGHT
1. Why do you deceive the old people, O Kumuyi? Why do you gather the people together to say that they shall be healed? 2. Why do you tell my people false testimonies? Kumuyi, let my people go to the hospitals instead of gathering them together like chickens, saying that you have miracles with you. 3. And my people gather together in your place every month, saying, let us go to the monthly programme of Williams, the son of Kumuyi, perhaps we shall receive healing there. 4. Now many did gather today, saying, we shall be healed if we go to the camp of Kumuyi. And they who have eye issues went. And also they who are lame. And they who are blind and they who have stroke. 5. Now did all they who have issues gather in one place, saying, we shall be healed by the god of Kumuyi. And their expectation was cut off. For they prayed hard today, July 17, 2016 in the monthly programme which is concluding today for this month at Alimosho. 6. Then did Eartum reveal to me those things which is happening in the place where they have gathered to see if anyone in the region of Alimosho has been healed. But what did I see? All they who are sick returned to their houses without any healing. 7. Did I not see Uya come into the congregation with his walking stick? And Uya returned as he has come, for he got no healing at all. 8. Was Bello not also in the congregation? For Bello is inflicted with cancer. But he returned home without healing. Was Femi not also in the congregation? Yet he has also got no healing. Was Chidi not a member? But he has gotten no healing. I say also of Musa and of Michael and of John and of all they who attended the programme, saying, we shall be healed today. 9. But none of them went back healed. For the deception of Kumuyi has brought them, yet they received no healing at all. 8. Was Francis not also one of they who went to the crusade because he needed healing so much from his eyes problems? And his body also shook greatly. But lo, Francis has returned home without healing. 10. And who is Michael if not he who is willing to get healing from that crusade? 11. Did Paul who has stroke not also believe greatly that he shall be healed? But Paul received no healing, for he was observing the programme on the satellite from Oshogbo. 12. And many who were in Calabar also watched the programme, but none of them got healing. Did Ekong in Calabar not also watch it? But his problem remained with him. 13. Did Peter in Ekiti not also connect to the pastor, William the son of Kumuyi? But of a truth, he received no healing. And in Port Harcourt, Mary did pray for cure, but he did not receive cure. 14. And many people all over the nation Nigeria went to the programme in their churches, saying, Yahweh shall heal us. But none of them received healing. But some of them shared testimonies by faith, believing that they shall be healed when they get home. 15. And Moses shared his testimony, believing that he has been healed. But when he returned home, he saw no healing. And he wept bitterly because he has already shared the testimony of healing to a multitude of souls. 16. And the glory of Yahweh has been exalted. But none knew that Yahweh does not heal anyone. But all they who have said that they have been healed did not know that they were never sick before. 17. Now also some years ago, a doctor in an hospital in Abia state has been paid, saying, whenever anyone comes to you this week, saying I am sick, tell that person saying, you have heart problem. 18. Then shall you refer them to the monthly programme, saying, go to the programme, for we have heard that Kumuyi the man of God will come to our town this week. 19. Now that patient believes that he is sick of heart problem indeed. And he went to the programme, praying hard to be healed. And after the last Amen of Kumuyi, the man returned to the same hospital, saying, confirm if I have been cured or not. 20. Now the doctor pretended as if he has checked. And he said, you have been healed indeed. Then did the man go about sharing testimony, which is false, saying I have heart problem before, but now it is gone. 21. And some said, show us the doctor report and he did so. And some said, go to another hospital to check if it is so. And he went to another hospital. And they said, you have no heart problem anymore. 22. Such man went home happy, knowing not that he never had a heart problem all his life. 23. Is it only Kumuyi who does this? No, for even Oyedepo and TB Joshua and also Lazarus do these things and they know in their mind that they are all deceivers. 24. For Mouka did so greatly, locking out those who are truly ill while bringing those whom they have promised to pay millions of naira to the stage. And those people were fooled and we're not paid after their performances. 25. And the glory of all is given to Yahweh and to Eusebius and to Faulkin. 26. Now I declare to the wise, if a doctor says to you, you have a small heart, or you have a kidney problem, or you have HIV, now go first to another doctor to confirm it, for many doctors in Nigeria are paid to work for the pastors. 27. Now when you have gone about to check with other doctors, tell them not if you have checked from a doctor before. For the other doctor could also be one of them. But let them check if what they said you have is true. 28. Go to about four doctors, for many of the doctors are corrupt and are working for the pastors. For they get more money doing that than in the occupation which they do. 29. Be not deceived, Kumuyi and Olukoya and Adeboye and Suleiman and all pastors and all imams are deceivers. 30. Now I say to you, use your brain and worship no god. Sorry, it appears you are an enemy of the gospel. But try as much as you and your cohorts can, the gospel of our Lord Jesus will continue to advance. Let me tell you that I have personally experienced divine healing from ulcer, pile, ear ache and upper respiratory tract infection (without medical treatment). These are the ones I can remember. I was personally at the Alimoso Crusade on Sunday the 17th of July and served as one of the ushers. I witnessed as mad people, the lame, the cripple, the dumb and others got their healings and deliverances instantly. Their parents, neighbours and those who brought them corroborated their testimonies. You don't need any doctor to tell you that a person is mad, to tell the blind that he is blind, the dumb that she is dumb, the deaf that he is deaf, the lame that he is lame or those with stroke that they have paralysis. I know that with your kind of mind set and your devilish intentions, you will try to destroy the testimony anybody gives to support that miracles are real and true. For your information, it is not pastor Kumuyi or any other minister that is performing the miracles. It is God that is using them. So all glory must go to Him. However, there are those who perform fake miracles or use satanic powers to perform their own 'miracles' so as to be famous or draw crowd. The bible has already told us. It is left for us to discern the orange from the grape by their fruis (their lifestyles, teachings, objectives and followers). Let me tell you that pastor Kumuyi in one of his messages warned that if anybody comes out to claim that he or she has a problem eg cancer and was healed which he or she did not have, such a person will eventually have the problem sooner or later. In other words, do not give a false testimony to 'glorify God'. As for you, I advise you to repent from your sin of blasphemy, false accusation and others and receive Christ into your heart. God is merciful. He will forgive and save you and even use you to help others get saved, healed and delivered like Saul of Tarsus who became Paul. But if you die without repentance, you will suffer forever in hell fire! I pray you avoid it. |

mrkayusfit: Buhari will soon order his re-arrest if he refuse to s hut up. Useless man Tell me something. I don't really know if FFK is guilty of the allegations against him or not. But you have just confirmed that this whole 'anti-corruption' brouhaha is aimed at silencing critics and the opposition. I pray you and your likes repent or somebody will become a victim of selective injustice. Shalom! |

duni04: Please go back and confirm the true text of that statement Buhari made. Ignorance is truly a disease and is the cause of most of the bullshit going on in this country. And scoundrels and street urchins like Fayose and Nnamdi KANU are taking advantage of this ôrgy of ignorance. For once we have a President that wants absolutely nothing from the national treasury and sincerely wants to build and secure the nation. But we're allowing those bastards that want the status quo to remain to deceive us. It's a shame and tragedy! Sorry friend. This is not about Ayodele Fayose or Nnamdi Kalu. It is simply about a president who promised to fight corruption totally without fear or faviur and who has been propagating it as his cardinal programmes all over the world whenever he travels. But alas, he is not sincere about it from every indication. He is apparently shielding some people while hitting hard on the opposition and those who worked with the last administration. Is this not injustice and deception from a supposedly incorrigible man of integrity? I pray you and your likes repent or you are simply asking to become a victim of selective injustice. I pray you repent. |
Christianity Etc › Re: 4 Reasons Why You Must Leave Your Church & Start Attending Winners’ Chapel by Sinkills: 9:05pm On Jul 14, 2016*. Modified: 9:35pm On Jul 14, 2016 |
charming1111: If you read the 2016 edition of King James Version, the book of Matthew clearly states that, “he who has seen the sky, has seen the ocean”. If you want to confirm this scripture, check your bibles through Google play store.
I’ve been to so many churches; Catholic, Anglican, wooden Pentecostal churches, etc, before I joined Winners’ Chapel in 2007 and surprisingly, my life has never been the same. Although, am a member of the late comers unit (those who come to service 5mins before closing time just to share the grace), there are so many things worthy of note in Living Faith Church (LFC) aka Winners’ Chapel.
1.There is a deadline for your prosperity: If you are a first timer in LFC, you must hear the resident pastor saying “if your life doesn’t change after 3 months of joining this church, feel free to leave”.........at first, I didn’t believe but after listening to several testimonies of fellow members, I keyed into the prophesy, and my life changed from EDGE to 3G!!!..... I give God all the glory.
2.A true LFC member is a giver: If you are a member of winners’ chapel and your surname is STINGY, it’s either you are a CHINA-PRODUCT or you are a cousin to BUHARI. My bishop, David.O.Oyedepo, has a passion for giving! And as a son of the prophet, I have followed his footsteps for the past 9years and all I can say is that “Life is Good(LG)”
3.Praises/thanksgiving are traits of true winners: I’ve never seen a church that praises God like Winners’ Chapel!!! So many members have received instant healing on a Sunday service, during praises...... Indeed, there is God in Living Faith Church.
4.The announcement before the benediction: Before the benediction is said, there is a very important announcement that is made. The pastor would say “in case you came late after the offering/tithe has been collected, please do not take it home; make sure you drop it before you go; for thou shall not appear before the Lord empty” A member without spiritual insight will think that the pastor is trying to hustle but the truth is that, whether you give or not, God will still bless the church and don’t forget that you are the primary beneficiary of every seed you sow in the house of God.
Conclusively, we serve one God and as Christians we are free to fellowship with any church, but as for me and my household, we have pitched our tenth with Winners’ Chapel Worldwide because God resides there. I’m very sure that in heaven, there must be winners’ street for the winners’ family to reside. SHALOM!!!
http://infongr.com/2016/07/14/4-reasons-why-you-must-leave-your-church-start-attending-winners-chapel/ First and most, it is against the gospel of Christ to emphasize any other thing apart from salvation from sin and faith in Christ. The love of God, the grace of God, faith, prosperity, healing , deliverance, breakthrough, miracles and other benefits are all biblical and should be preached as the occasion demands but to make any of them the cardinal doctrine or point of emphasis of any Assembly, Church, Commission or Ministry is highly misplaced. Secondly, I have a colleague who has been attending Winners Chapel with the family for years. She confesses all this faith stuff. Yet, she comes to me from time to time for financial assistance. (I am saying this because you don't know me neither do you know her. So its not that I want to boast or expose her). Apparently, you are not yet in the right place of worship. Make sure you genuinely repent from your sins and make Christ your personal Lord and Saviour and look for a Church where all the truth is preached with emphasis on being eligible for heaven and practical right living as taught by Christ and His immediate disciples. God bless you. |

theoneJabulani: As sad as his words seem, there exists truths on it. If the adeboyes, kumuyis and oyakilomes of the world don't go around with blasting megaphones and threatening people with hell., then their ministers and followers should use their head. It so sad that a life was lost . The lady didn't deserve this, hope the killers are. brought to justice and this will serve as a warning to other megaphone blasters The woman was obeying the commandments of the Lord Jesus to preach the gospel to you and others to repent and turn to Christ so as not to be damned in eternity. There is no specific time to do that. If a house in your compound is on fire and somebody alerts you at a time you are enjoying your sleep, I guess you will very grateful to that person. She was not just obeying her leaders, she was obeying God. Apart from that, no pastor is our role model, only Christ is. Some pastors are also doing their own which God knows. Her murder can never stop the gospel. Rather, it will only embolden us the more. After all, we shall all die. Is it not glorious to die while on duty for God? May I die a glorious death in Jesus' name, Amen. |
