You cannot use God as an instrument to justify abuse of power, lawlessness, vindictiveness and injustice because you have access to power. God can neither be deceived nor mocked. My worry is the motive of the president on the arrest of these judges since he has a vested interest in the court cases some of them are looking into or have ruled in the past. Is he trying to intimidate them into ruling in his interest? If there are 'corrupt' judges who are favourable to his interest will they also be disgraced this way? Are we right to term anyone who is arrested automatically corrupt and guilty?

I actually i find it unrealistic when people say the govt should stop blaming the past.
We are suffering today, because the past never prepared for the future (today).

And also we are very unrealistic in our expectation that things can turn around suddenly.
it will takes us about ten years to diversify the economy. Diversification is not a switch you can just turn on or off.
it is a long painful process. We must understand this and work towards it.

All we talk about is dollar vs naira rate because we are still focussing on consuming imported tins.

We must look inward in our consumption pattern.

Blaming the past for the current economy woes does not in any way affect the performance of the govt. They can blame past govt while they work. it does not slow down progress in anyway. Actually it helps progress because it makes it easier for Nigerians to persevere and work hard for a better future.

I think the president is just campaigning for the next general elections. If anything goes right, he takes the credit but if otherwise, the past government or any other apart from himself takes the blame. This is likely to continue until 2019.

From every indication, majority of Edo people wanted to or actually voted for PDP. But on the election day, a lot of things came to play. Money was allegedly offered to hungry people in a recession to vote and display which party they voted for. There was alleged snatching of ballot boxes and threatening of voters and opposirion party agents with the tacit connivance of security personnel. The desperation to 'win' was palpable. So the people of Edo and most other Nigerians actually lothe this so-called change. Well, this is an opportunity for propaganda by the ruling party.

I think that Governor Oshiomhole and the APC in Edo State were really desperate to be declared winner of the governorship elections. To me, everything was planned and perfected supported by federal might. I think they want to cover up their tracks by ensuring that pastor Ize-iyamu does not become governor as he had threatened to probe the outgoing governor. Well, let us watch and see as events unfold. 2019 will really be interesting.

In the Bible, girls of about 12 years old (including teenagers) were referred to as damsels not women (Mark 5:39-43, Matthew 9:24, 26:69, Luke 8:52, John 18:17, Acts 12:13, 16:16). However, Mary, the mother of Jesus was addressed by angel Gabriel as a woman (Luke 1: 26-28). Apart from that, her cousin Elizabeth was already past child bearing age (Luke 1:5-7, 36-38). So Mary could not have been 12 or even a teenager. From the foregoing, it is evident that she was a fully mature woman when she was engaged or betrothed to Joseph the carpenter. Thank you.

Mary, the mother of Jesus was not 12 or a young girl when she got married.
Though the bible didn’t see it necessary to state an age, it is clear she was a mature woman.. here are the evidence.

Firstly, when she perceived that she has become pregnant, she went to visit her cousin, Elizabeth ,not aunt, not mother, her cousin. Now, being cousins means that though there can be some age gap between them, but they are contemporaries and friends(luke1:39-40). And Elizabeth herself has well aged and has even long entered
menopause. Hence, mary couldn't be a teenager, not to talk of 12.

Secondly, it was also written that on getting pregnant,she relocated from her house to Elizabeth's where she stayed with her for 3months before going back to her own house(see luke1:56). I don't think a 12year old or even a teenager will be having her own house at that time and even now.

Thirdly, her ability to independently move from her city to another for 3months clearly shows that we are dealing with a mature woman, not a teen or even less.

Fourthly, she was addressed throughout by both the angel and her cousin as a woman(see luke1:28,42)

Fifth, read her songs of exaltation from Luke1:46-55. It clearly shows the intelligence of a full grown woman who is knowledgeable in her ancestral history as she is of spiritual things.

As for Joseph, though no mention was ever made anywhere in the bible of his age, the bible describes him as a just man which modern scholars will refer to as a perfect gentleman.

Also, 12years after Jesus was born, his parents were still going to Jerusalem for their annual thanksgiving and this was a journey of days by road. That would have put Joseph's age at 111 if he married her at 99.

let me also add that when 12yr old Jesus went missing, Mary and Joseph turned the whole Jerusalem upside down searching for him until they found him in the temple.

If 12yr old was considered adult then, his parents wouldn't have worried because as an "adult he could fend for himself" But no, Mary and Joseph went searching for him till she found him, why? a 12yr old child is considered as a kid as it was in 2000 years ago and today... unlike Mohammed who sees a 6 year old child fit for marriage and 9 year old fit for sex..

All this evidence should tell you clearly that Mary wasn't 12yrs old at the time she was engaged to Joseph.

I'm not disappointed in your comment sir. I saw it coming. Some people are only interested in blaming the past government for everything that goes wrong but quick to credit the government in power for anything good that happens. If it is good, it is our president's 'body language' that made it happen but if it is bad, the immediate past government is responsible or contributed to it. It has become the state policy and will likely continue till the next election. That is a way to console themselves. Continue sir if that will turn the recession around.

I think most of the people who voted for president Buhari in 2015 did so out of sheer hatred for former president Jonathan and because power MUST return to the Muslim North with the Southwest playing a second fiddle (it was a better bargain for them). You can observe that they are ready to defend the current president over the same issues for which the former was severely criticized. But I thank God it is so now. If not, the popular notion would have been "If Buhari had been allowed to rule, Nigeria would have become a paradise by now". It is well.
