In other words, Nigerians cannot protest against bad policies/economic hardship as we have it now without being sponsored. Is that what you mean?

Your change has really changed Nigerians true true.

Folks are getting madder be the day cos of hunger.

Crime is rising.

Parents are having high BP cos they can't cater for their children anymore.

Killings and unreplied mass murder everywhere.

Sick folks can't afford hospital bills which leaves them at the mercy of quacks.

Selective witch hunting, favouritism and sacred cows are the ideal now.

Of course, its all because of the change you brought.

Now, you've come out in the open. Why were you pretending before? Of course, I knew why.
Pretending over what if I may ask? You have no choice than to accept the glaring fact that our amiable well respected president is not an honest man of integrity people believed or propagated that he was. Secondly, he is not sincere about his so-called fight against corruption that his supporters are making so much noise about. Everything is obviously targeted at obliterating the opposition and enjoying smooth ride in subsequent elections in the face of failed promises and leadership failure. Thanks for accepting the facts. Enough of sentiments and propaganda.

Admission of lack of facts to support your assertion, says it all about your comments. How are the candidate of note with sufficient pedigree among the last contestants to better Buhari? We would continue if you mention a sensible and realistic option.
Please what was the pedigree used to score the president over other contestants? Is it not his famed INTEGRITY and that he had experience having ruled before as a military man? What else? Please remind me if I have forgotten. This 'integrity' is being tested by his current actions and inactions. How is he better than other deceptive, lying and corrupt politicians? I bet you, there are a lot of honest men and women in Nigeria. But they will not come out to contest in order not to be dented by our dirty politics. Others may not be seen as presidential materials because of sentiments. But there are a lot of honest people in Nigeria.

Please look at the genesis of my comment. The person I replied to is old customer. Thanks for your observation anyways, but my position still remains that without an analysis of the AGF REPORT i may not be the one writing on the basis of sentiment.
Thanks.
The issue here is not analysis of AGF report on the SSG. For all I care, Mr Babachir Lawal may not be guilty as alleged. The point is that those in the opposition who were alleged to be corrupt were not given same protection. Why is there a different rule for those who are loyalists to the president from those in the opposition/who refuse to play ball? Judges' houses were raided and some people clapped for the president accusing those who opposed the modus operandi as 'supporters of corruption'. They were asked to step down which they did. Are there supposed to be sacred cows in the administration that wants the world to remember it for 'fighting corruption'?

The answer to your question sincerely depends on whether you believed that he had those traits before today or not.
To me, I strongly believed that he had it and I believe that he still does. Can you see my point now, the difference between you and me?
Apparently, your definition of integrity is different from what I see in the dictionary. Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. A person of integrity stands by his or her promises. He does not change with the circumstance. Our president promised that he would fight corruption without partiality. Alas after he was elected, what has he been doing? Ruthlessly dealing with the opposition and those that obviously refuse to do his bidding with the pretext of fighting corruption while letting his loyalists off the hook. Collecting the stolen money from the opposition while his cronies keep their own loot. Is it not to have advantage over the opposition in buying votes from hungry Nigerians in forthcoming elections? There is nothing wrong in vouching for his integrity before now. But if you still claim our president is honest by now, then you are either a sentimental liar or a paid propagandist.

You will also see my response and what followed. The allegations against Babachir and the report of the AGF is unfortunately not debated here.
If we have a thorough discussion on the action of Babachir and any cover up from the AGF, we would all do the needful and raise against THE PRESIDENT'S ACCEPTANCE OF THE AGF'S REPORT. Otherwise, my friend Eluwilussit shout that we did not take a better option to Jonathan will remain the hypocrisy. GENIRO can abuse to the suffering of his fingers all he likes.
Why is it that when there is an allegation against the opposition or even judiciary, the president's men are swift about it. They were even asked to step down which they did but when it concerns a member of the ruling party or cabinet such matters are refered to the AGF, who reports to the president? Don't you think that is double standard from a famed man of integrity?

you either believe and support the fight against corruption or you don't believe it at all, that's your own headache

don't come hear to tell me you have not been in this country and have not seen where judgement was bought, if you like keep defending the useless people who do not have you at heart,

i guess if a judge has not giving order for one madam to forfeit $153 million people like you will still call it witch-hunt, these are the people you are saying the president is oppressing abi?

i have ask is they any member of the opposition today that have said they did not collect those loothed fund

olisa metuh, 400 million
fani kayodae 2 billion
Ait 2 billion
to name a few
they all agreed that they collected this money and this where fund made to buy military hardwares, so what do you expect PMB to do celebrate them and give them national honors abi?

on the judges, how can thousands of pounds and dollars be found in your house and you said you where selling red oil? for this naija abi

how can a judge for over a year has wired more than 600 million out of the country, yet cases can't fly in court so you expect the president to give them national honors? odiagu.

yet you people can't point out a single policy or action that PMB has done that isn't for the benefit of the nation hate him as long as you want stealing is now corruption

you have said so many Nigerians are hard working if you truly believe in this statement as much as i do you will call for the crucifixion of those people because you can't be working hard and someone else is embezzling your wealth

so keep showing the sympathy for pdp, Nigeria has more than 50 registered political party na only pdp be opposition

those who benefited from the massive corruption in the land are the ones who hate and hate everything buhari does
because to the corrupt and beneficiaries from those corrupt PMB na bad market

i guess you where in this country when $20 billion was unaccounted for in NNPC in the quest to investigate NNPC by buhari this led to the birth of Avengers, ok according to you Diezani is been oppressed and witch-hunted because she is opposition
no wahala if buhari leave too make the next government oppress am at the end na Nigeria win

but i can't join you in celebrating those who have looted this nation dry, i will give my support to those who will help to an extent bring sanity to the system and recover as much looted fund as they can

i rather support buhari who is determined to recover loothed fund than support those pdp who have loothed this nation dry and brought Nigeria to his knee's

this is the choice I've choosing to support PMB you have chosen to defend those who looted us dry and those judge who pride themselves in selling judgement case close
You know what I mean. Stop dancing around. I support the fight against corruption that is total, without fear or favour. At least, that is what our amiable president promised during the 2015 electionering campaigns, that is our expectation and that is what he is telling the world that he is doing. I quote him "We either kill corruption or corrrup corruption will kill us". We cannot kill corruption by targeting only those in opposition. It does not kill corruption. Not at all. Rather, it only encourages sycophancy and opportunism. It does not descourage those in the ruling party from stealing since they are insured. All they have to do is to do everything possible to ensure the ruling party remains in power. It also makes those on the opposition to run for cover by joining the ruling party since they are the sacred cows as we have been seeing. Let me tell you, if you don't already know, USING PUBLIC OFFICE FOR SELFISH END IS CORRUPTION. The person who is supporting abuse and corruption of public office is the one supporting corruption. I am saying that the president should fight corruption without partiality since he is a famed man of integrity. Let me tell you what I think about this 'anti corruption fight'. Money is important in our elections. It is my thinking that this 'anti corruption' fight is aimed at collecting stolen money from the opposition, leaving them dry while the president's loyalists keep their own loots. As such, the ruling party will have the advantage to unleash money during future campaigns as well as to 'buy votes' from hungry people especially during this recession. Edo and Ondo States readily come to mind. You are the one supporting abuse of power which is corruption. You may continue your propaganda and blackmail. Thanks.

Don't mind the fool and the bigger fools who liked that senseless comment.

The main reason why Nigerians are suffering now is the unprecedented inflation and spike in the prices of essential commodities and general goods and services. Why didn't he explain what caused this spike in the cost of living (Buhari's idiotic economic policies)? That's the real issue!

If, as the bagger suggested, 'corruption money' was overflowing during the previous administration and that Buhari's so-called war on kwarapshun has caused a drying up of awoof money in the system, how come the price of EVERYTHING has increased in unprecedented fashion? How come the price of everything (cost of living) was STABLE and even reduced in some cases throughout Jonathan's wonderful 5 years in government (2010-2015)? How can prices be stable when corruption money overflowed in the system and then increase significantly when war on kwarapshun reduces illicit flow of money and availability of liquid cash in the system? Conventional economic wisdom indicates that prices increase when there is too much money in the system chasing relatively fewer goods. Why is the opposite the case in Buhari's flawed regime?
Don't mind the propagandist. I first saw this report in a foreign newspaper and something told me it was a propaganda sponsored by the government with our money to deceive the international community that those who are complaining of hardship now are those who benefited from corruption in times past. Now they are desperate to spread the propaganda everywhere just to misinform the people. Their other strategy is bring in ethnic sentiments cum divide and rule by tagging anybody who criticises the government's apparent incompetence and wrong policies as Igbo, IPOD, Easterner, Biafran, PDP, 'defender of corruption', wailing wailer etc. Little wonder the budget of the ministry of (Mis)Information is so huge. I believe there are people who are being heavily paid to be spreading propaganda in defence of this government and be blackmailing any one who dares criticise the government or say it as it is. It is such a pity!

You are actually supporting the president in his obvious one sided 'fight against corruption'. You have agreed with me that the so called fight is not a sincere one. How then can the opposition come to power to probe the president? Is it after they have been totally destroyed and annihilated? Little wonder, the president has been intimidating INEC officials, the judiciary (using corruption fight as a cloak) dismising police personnel who prevented his party's rigging plans just to frighten everybody and ensure there is no way the opposition comes to power despite his glaring failure in leadership. He appears so desperate. Why is he so afraid if he is clean? But Abacha did worse, didn't he?

STATE OF THE NATION*

I have been following closely the activities of this government and whenever I have the opportunity, I try to find out the opinions of people as regards the performance of this government.

I just realized that the hardship faced by many Nigerians is simply as a result of the fact that almost everyone of us benefited from the cycle of corruption.

The bricklayer, plumber, laborers, tiler are all complaining because building construction has slowed down massively cause the thieves no longer have money to spend on real estate.

The car dealers are grumbling because their cars are begging for buyers. Thieves can no longer spend wastefully.

The private school owners are shouting because parents can no longer pay outrageous sums and are withdrawing their wards.

I was shocked when I learn that in a popular private University in Abuja, parents are writing undertaking at the account section for their children to be allowed to write exams... and it goes on and on.

The fact is, a lot of people are returning to what someone referred to as ''default mode''.

We mostly have been living above our REAL MEANS.

We have been staying in houses that ordinarily our incomes can't afford.

Our children going to schools we can't afford. Driving cars we ordinarily can't maintain.

We have been living a FAKE LIFE all along. Now the reality is before us and we don't want to accept it.

This shows how morally bankrupt we are.

You can't eat your Cake and have it. Take Note..."GOD HELP AND BLESS NIGERIA"

You got billions from bank without collateral using your political influence. You put half into your business and spent the other half on exotic cars, jeweleries, etc.

Your business employs 100 people normally. You get illegal waivers and concessions to import raw materials at rock bottom prices, you get over-inflated contract to supply government some goods your company produce....in short your company is kept afloat by corruption.

Now the new SHERIFF in town says:

no more ridiculous waivers,
no more inflated contracts, no more bank loans without collateral, in fact its time you or your company pay off the billions of debt owed.....

AMCON takes over your company, staff are laid off......And you go on air and say the new sheriff is killing business and causing unemployment..

The truth is....you and your company were never in business, you were only feeding off the system.

Too many companies and banks are funded by corruption. Remove corruption from the system and they collapse.......and we end up blaming the person that removes corruption for the collapse of the corruptly run fake company.

Its like our system and corruption are so interwoven and inseparable that removing one will kill the other.

Maybe we should tolerate and learn to live with corruption so that Nigeria can survive?

Recession: What recession? If you think Nigeria is broke, then you are living in another planet. Now, please read the information below and tell me why Nigerians crying of hardship are comfortable with the bold looting of their collective wealth by the politicians.

A SELF DECEIVING COUNTRY CALLED NIGERIA

Twenty-one senators currently receiving pensions from government as ex-governors and deputy governors.

The current senators who once served as governors are Bukola Saraki of Kwara, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano, Kabiru Gaya of Kano, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom, Theodore Orji of Abia, Abdullahi Adamu of Nasarawa, Sam Egwu of Ebonyi, Shaaba Lafiagi of Kwara, Joshua Dariye of Plateau Jonah Jang of Plateau, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto, Ahmed Sani Yarima of Zamfara, Danjuma Goje of Gombe, Bukar Abba Ibrahim of Yobe, Adamu Aliero of Kebbi, George Akume of Benue and Isiaka Adeleke of Osun.

The former deputy governors in the Senate are Ms Biodun Olujimi of Ekiti and Enyinaya Harcourt Abaribe of Abia. Danladi Abubakar Sani served as the acting governor of Taraba state.

Many former governors are also in Buhari's Cabinet as Ministers. This includes: Ngige, Fayemi, Amaechi and Fashola (SAN).).

In Akwa Ibom State, the law provides that ex governors and deputy governors receive pension equivalent to the salaries of the incumbent. The package also includes a new official car and a utility vehicle every four years; one personal aide; a cook, chauffeurs and security guards for the governor at a sum not exceeding N5 million per month and N2.5 million for his deputy governor.

In Rivers, the law provides 100 percent of annual basic salaries for the ex-governor and deputy, one residential house for the former governor “anywhere of his choice in Nigeria”; one residential house anywhere in Rivers for the deputy, three cars for the ex-governor every four years and two cars for the deputy every four years.

It is alledged that in Lagos, a former governor will get two houses, one in Lagos and another in Abuja, estimated at N500 million in Lagos and N700 million in Abuja. He also receives six new cars to be replaced every three years; a furniture allowance of 300 percent of annual salary to be paid every two years, and a N30 million pension annually for life.

This is the reality for all the 21 ex govenors and deputy governors who are currently serving as senators. This same is also true of ex governors who are now serving as Ministers.

NOW I ASK:
How many years did these guys serve their states as governors and deputy governors? Is it more than 8years? Is that a reason to be entitled to pensions for life? Even if they are entitled to pension for life, must it be so outrageous?

As if that is not enough: HOW on earth can any public servant with conscience collect salaries and allowances as a senator or minister, and still have the audacity to claim pensions equivalent to the salaries of a serving governor in Nigeria?

IT ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE......

Once you are elected a senator or appointed a minister, you must forfeit any pension accruing to you from government at any level until you vacate office. This should also apply to senators collecting military pensions like former Senate President David Mark.

Yet these senators are in the Senate that is inviting the current finance minister to discuss the recession of Nigeria's economy. A senator pockets approximately 30 million naira monthly as salary and allowances. Our "honourables" are not interested to make laws that could restructure our country into economically autonomous federating States/Regions to save the country from sectional agitations that is threatening to destroy Nigeria. The sad and hopeless situation is that the rest of Nigerians are busy arguing based on party, ethnic and affiliations while these enemies of state continue to rape us.

Do you know that it costs tax payers 290m Naira yearly to maintain each member of our National Assembly in a country where nothing works & 80% of population earn below 300 Naira a day ? A working day earning of a senator is more than a yearly income of a doctor; it's more than the salary of 42 Army generals or 48 professors or 70 commissioners of police or more than twice the pay of the US President or 9 times the salary of US congressmen.

It's high time the country had a referendum on those outrageous salaries of Senators, House of Representative members and other political office holders.

This is blatant propaganda. Nigerians are suffering because of the high cost of living occasioned by weakening naira and galloping inflation. Let me tell you propagandists. Majority of Nigerians are hardworking and honest people. We are not all corrupt. I believe this propaganda is being sponsored by those who care less about the untold hardship we are currently experiencing as a people. They apparently do not have a solution and just want to misinform the world. It is no more the past government's fault. It is now because we were ALL making it through corrup means in the past! Can you just imagine! I thought we elected people of INTEGRITY not hearless and deceptive people into power. You may win election by propaganda but you cannot rule by propaganda. God is watching you.

Politics / Re: Why We Dismissed Officers Attached To Governor Wike - Police by Sinkills: 4:41pm On Jan 06, 2017

I think this people are just here to kill PDP finally.
Not for good governance.
Apparently, the ruling government knows the only way to continue beyond 2019 is to intimidate every officer concerned with subsequent elections into doing their bidding. Little wonder most politicians are cross-carpeting to the ruling party obstensibly to obtain power on a platter of gold. We are shouting 'corruption', 'corruption'. Is getting power through corrupt and crooked means not equally corruption?

Did u not see the video where these officers started shooting into the air without any threat to their principal? Propangists even tried to twist the video that it was APC policemen that was shooting at Wike. Whereas it was Wike's personal security men.
These officers displayed a high level of indiscipline and should be punished.

They also said they prevented INEC from moving votes and personnel to a collation centre. Now that is some serious offence.

But the major offence is the way they started shooting indiscriminately into the air coupled with disobedience to a superior officer.

Either ways, the punishment of dismissal seems too weighty.

And it must be stated that all other indiscipline shown during the election should also be punished. Either by pro PDP or APC.
You heard from the police Authorities only. Have you heard from the dismissed officers? As you opined, punishment for offences should be without partiality, but is our government not being selective in their punishments? I think we should redefine the meaning of integrity if it is what some of our leaders are famed to have. Don't you think so?

the useless IGP is yet to say anything about the criminal Akin Fakorede caught on video beating up INEC officials. He is instead punishing the gallant ofiicers that went to the collation centre to stop them.
This is obviously to intimidate other officials into doing the bidding of the agents of the ruling party in subsequent elections. I think the ruling party knows the only way they can be 'reelected' is to intimidate all officers into doing their bidding. I think the late Abacha did something similar to this, didn't he?

They may end up receiving a paltry sum from the politicians and will soon be forgotten. Now they have family to take care. Never be overzealous for any politician at the expense of your means of Livelihood.
I think the message the IGP is clearly sending is that you only listen to me(as I take orders from my oga at the top) so as to be covered. Henceforth, elections will likely be a walkover for the candidates of the national ruling government as every policeman will want to do the IGP's bidding. No wonder politicians are trooping enmass to the ruling party. 2019 will be very interesting.
Religion / Is It Proper For A Woman To Pray Without Covering Her Hair? by Sinkills: 10:42pm On Jan 04, 2017
We pray a lot in Nigeria which is good. We really need it. Our women in fact pray if I'm not mistaken more than the men. But there is something I have generally observed. It seems to have become a tradition for women to pray without covering their hair. I have read 1st Corinthians 11:4-15 which clearly spells out that a woman must cover her hair while PRAYING or PROPHESYING. Is that scripturally acceptable? Does God really answer such prayers? Only candid and mature opinions needed. Atteists please keep off. Thanks.

If only IF Jammeh or whatever he calls himself, has a little common sense, let him step down....he should know here in Nigeria, we don't have a democratic president but more like a military president in civilian clothing who can do and un-do. We don't need other ECOWAS countries, give bubu 7 days, he"s ready to send all our soldiers and forget boko boys , he will clear you Jammeh, that your supportive General and any other person that is on the way.........Jammeh LISTEN: This is not GEJ tenure, you better get wise..
Point of correction, it is ECOWAS mandate that president Buhari is enforcing not a personal issue. Any Nigerian president even a woman would still carry it out. Stop this GEJ mentioning nonsense at every point in time. It is getting irritating. Thanks.
