Na only him get tomato factory for Lagos? There's even one right here in Akungba, Ondo state!
More reason the Anambra man need to thank Yoruba for providing an enabling environment that has markets and sources materials unlike his barren ibo land!
That being said, the bigotry can never be stopped! Yoruba awareness has been hitched and there's nothing stopping us from reciprocating the vitriol you ugly beings first dished out!!
anything that tickle your fancy and ego.
Among elites there is nothing like tribal and religious divide. They work with any tool available even with the devil as long as their objectives are actualised.

It is an advice to you bro.

Cheers.

The only thing wey dey SE na hotels and houses! Who would even do business in a landlocked place where there's no market nor raw materials needed?
The joke is on you! What were you expecting when you were calling people amala etc! No be only lagoon, you go soon see Osa river! Yeyee!
per the bolded, I thought you guys said that they are good in only 2X2 shop, gala hawking, drug and sell of pirated CDs etc.

You know my dear, you tribal bigots will some days swallow your vommits.

It is hightime we the youth stopped all this bigotry and face the problem of our dear nation squarely.

Which Orlu? Is it my own Orlu or another one. Go and count the number of indigenous industries in Owerri, Onitsha, Aba, P/H and Enugu and tell me who own them.
Any industry an Orlu man (Nkwerre, Ideato, Oru, Orsu, Nwangele, Njaba, Isu, et al) builds in Lagos or Abuja, he replicate the same in the East. A good example is Orange drugs. Any Tony Ezenna firm you see in Lagos be rest assured that a similar prototype is in the South-East. Even Finlab you accused also has a branch in Owerri and even intend building a bigger industry in Orlu.
So nwoke don't believe all what you hear.
it is Imo state orlu, yours and my own orlu.
Going by your analogy, orlu supposed to be industries or better still onitsha, aba, enugu, asaba, PH supposed to be dotted with industries owned by orlu indigiene.

Ugolab pharmaceutical is one of the biggest pharmaceutical company in Nigeria is owned by an Umudioka Orlu man.

Sun quick transport coy with a massive terminal in Festac, lagos is owned by an Amucha orlu man

Finlab an umudioka orlu man can only boast of a depot in owerri, but his mega industries in lagos and ogun state

the list is endless.

investnow2013:
The IMO governor is still looking for investors from Overseas why Imo Citizens are investing billions outside Imo State!.What will you call this?
i share your sentiment.
Imo indigenes are fond of investing outside their state.

Majority of Igbos that have investment outside their state are Igbo especially Orlu indigenes

Instead of investing in Imo state they prefer building residential houses, filing station and hotels in owerri and environ.

And this adversely effect the IGR of the state.

Come to Mowe, Ogun state and see a giant facility and industry owned by Finlab an Orlu man you will weep for Imo state.

Apart from Imo , mention another place u see Oba Yoruba. And i bet u whatever reverence he enjoys from d Yorubas is based on his personal leadership quality. And it can never b like the way the Ibo are going abt dia Eze Ndigbo stuff. Almost getting to the level of agitating for autonomy in anothers man territory. Nobody, i say nobody can do that in Ibo land. Go to Ibo states and see if u can point to any reasonable number of people from other tribes who succeeds in business in Ibo land.
as for the bolded, whose fault is it?
Should Igbos force other Nigerian to reside and be successfull in their domain?
Will Igbos force other Nigeria to be adventureous business wise?

I read almost everyday on this site how people from other part of Nigeria mock and use all sorts of derogatory remark on anything Igbo, like the region is erosion ravaged, they are fleeing their region because of hardship etc.

My dear we are in a competitive world, venture out and see success locate you.

So don't blame the Igbos for failure of other Nigerians to make it in Igboland.

God bless Nigeria

Why have they not bitten a huge chunk out of the global shoe industry?
The point you are missing is that there are ten of thousands of cobblers all over the country .
A government policy tilted towards people like these would in no time see huge export oriented conglomerate
Grow out of such policies.
Yes that 400 a day shoemaker can become the basis of a future Samsung .
my dear we Nigerians always like to live in self denial,
on the question of why they are not making wave in global shoe industries, I can bet you 50 - 60% of Nigerians wear those footwears without knowing it.
Thanks to immitation of foreign brands.
I am in the system so I know what I am talking about. Nigeria shoe market span from Nigeria to down east and central African countries.

A trip to shoe site Onitsha will convinced you.

LoveMachine:
Don't look at the monetary breakdown. Look at the number of capital projects. SE got the most. The allocation monetarily can't be equal to other regions due to a smaller land mass. We're about to get the 2nd Niger bridge.
Second niger bridge spanned from SS to SE.
So it is not solely a SE business per se.

Starting from the leaders.
This is tomatoes rotting away in the north .
Below it is a small time shoemaker who makes about 400 shoes a year in akure.Yet unpatriotic quacks like Okonjo Iweala opened the flood gates to the importation of foreign subsidised tomato paste , thereby sending local growers and processors into penury.
She opened the flood gates to vegetable oil importation as well .
Are you kidding me? huh
That guy needs to change his profession if only what he can churn out in a year is 400 pairs .

Come to Shoe site Onitsha or Bakassi Aba and see what is called mass production of foot wears of assorted grade.

betterABIAstate:
It may sound bitter but the truth remains that Nigeria can be saved from its crashing economy if they invest in southeast.
We must start being indigenous and Southeast remain the headquarters of entrepreneurship as far as Nigeria is concerned, you tend to see more indeginous companies and investments in southeast that any other region.

Southeast is the will give more indeginous product than any other region, there lots of products you see in mainly southeast that you may not see any other place in Nigeria..for example, tummytummy noodles makes indomie ordinary here, life and hero lager beer beats star and 33 here.

Southeast have their own reliable indeginous pharmaceutical factories like neros and juhel pharmaceuticals, in southeast these companies compete with GSK, emzor and even any other renowned company you can think of.

A typical easterner will first ask for aqua rapha water before even thinking of Eva water.

We may not need to be importing wears if we can invest in aba (it will strengthen naira)

Innoson motor can be motivated with patronage and we will see other car companies sptinging up because i know southeasterners loke competition. (It will strengthen naira and also give more IGR).

Southeast is more self sustainable and can help Nigeria come out of this woe
Emzor is also indigenous, owned by Mrs Stella Okoli, the mother of Chika Okoli of blessed memory.
Though the company is located in Ilupeju Lagos.

Obosi commands more population than Onitsha, thanks to highrising edifices that dot that enclave like Awada and Ugwuagba.

People don't hear of Obosi because of its assimilation by greater Onitsha city.

Ps; Ijaws re not settlers, Wat kind of insult is that, If they did call my tribe settlers i'd be angry, For the fact that Ijaw communities was caved into Edo/Ondo donnot make them settlers, Its just like calling Ofoni People (Urhobo clan in bayelsa Settlers).. Am nt Ijaw incase..
hmm I can sense land grabbing tendency from the bolded.

Urhobos are only in Delta state.

But even if there is urhobo communities in bayelsa state or 'enugu' state will that affect the standard of living of an average urhobo man
