The problem for the nba in CBA negotiations unlike the nfl is that the big stars in the nba will all have alternatives. I remember during the last lock out that some of the marquee players had tentative lucrative deals with european teams, in case the season did not hold.
Last last IMHO basketball is so global now that i think most of the big players can hold owners to ransom because they can easily get alternative employers and also because the NBA is a star driven league

The shots have to come at some point.

This game could have been won, but the damage in the first quarter was the key factor. Portland are there to be beaten if you asked me. The Lakers shot a dismal 5 of 32 or so from 3, some of which were wide open, and it still was a close game at the end.

"not hitting shot at the moment" is a bit of a soft sell, they have struggled in the bubble.. The game against the blazer is just a continuation of this bad form.

The Blazers can not afford to play the way they played tonight against the Grizzlies or even the Lakers because they will get blown away! They were very poor tonight especially on defense. They looked extremely fatigued with heavy legs. I am worried they may have nothing left for the post season if they don't get themselves together quick.
