Listened to one of his interviews where he couldn't stop talking about God. It amazed me that someone who achieved most of his victories through physical strength could still attribute his greatness to the Almighty.

When next u are asked that kind of question,ensure u avoid stating an amount. You could say, "I believe that a reputable company like urs can pay me a fairly reasonable and motivating amount, which will not affect their budgeted profit". Leave the interviewer to struggle with the meaning.

Welcome to 2016. I just wrote 2016 for the first time and believe me it feels a bit weird. There's a perfectly logical explanation for that. You spend an entire year writing dates ending in a particular digit and you are simply expected to replace that digit with another in a single day? I'm sorry but that takes time. Infact I think I remember writing 03/07/2008 even as late as July 2009. Oh so you made the same mistake too. Mine was just legendary. JULY!‎

The difference between 2015 and 2016 isn't a day, it isn't an hour, no it's not a minute, it's not even a second. Technically speaking what separates the past year and this new one is just a fraction of a second. The fact is that you can't simply dump 2015 and move into 2016. 

So what's all the new year fuss about? Virtually everyone has atleast one new year resolution or the other. I'm willing to take a bet that you do too. Something you want to do, you plan doing better or if it's negative, you intend quitting.

You know how that ends right? You keep to your resolutions for some months, did you just say "months ke?". Ok some days. Oh! they don't even last days? Alright, some hours, I'm sure they atleast last hours. Regardless of how long they last, someday you make a mistake and your resolutions are gone with the wind. What's more you become even more skilled in the act you intended terminating once again laying of change till next year when you make another set of new year resolutions.

So does that mean you should do away with the timeless tradition of new year resolutions? Definitely not. What is a new year? It basically marks the beginning of a period of 365 consecutive days with the reference start point usually 1st January and end point 31st December. A year is ultimately just another unit of measurement of time. If you can then say, "I'll do the dishes once it's 8 O'clock" why can't us say "I'll won't tell a lie in 2016". Fire away with those new year resolutions, get as many as you want and sincerely decide to stick with them. 

The danger in the concept however lies in the mindset that is very often associated with it. Using the lying example again, no matter how long you succeed to stay away from lying, once you falter and tell one lie, you turn into a prolific liar, a real master of the art firing off lies in all directions with a speed even a machine gun would find hard to compete with. It is the once I fall I have failed mindset.

Resolutions can however be backed by a more effective mindset. Remember after making that mistake while writing the date on that faithful day in 2009, you didn't get so disappointed in yourself and go back to living in 2008. You simply repeatedly shaded over the mistake, sculpting the '8' into a very beautiful '9' and continued living your life in 2009, reminding yourself not to repeat the mistake.

Resolutions should be handled in the same manner. The ideal situation would be not breaking them atall through the course of the year and consequently the rest of your life. Infact, the less you break them the stronger they will be. But the situation is rarely ideal. You are going to break them, but instead of dumping them totally and resigning to your old self, pick up the parts and put them together immediately. Stop waiting for the next 1st of January. May I remind you that you do not have an infinite number of 1st of January in this life. If you are going to make resolutions next 1st of January why not make them totally new ones instead of recycling the ones you could have handled this year. So make your resolutions and stick with them. You are better prepared to overcome that hurdle now than you will be by the start of next year.

That's why we thrive at this level and nowhere else. We should start thinking of ways to ensure the patriotism is retained.

After straining my eyes to try to decipher the very similar images moving across my screen, halftime finally came and it was time to go back to the studio. Then it hit me, Nigerian stations are backward and the local stations are at the very back of that gang.
