Atiku Abubakar Is A Bona Fide Citizen Of Nigeria says Alhaji Tanko Yakasai Alhaji Tanko Yakasai has confirmed that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is qualified to run for the office of the Presidency, affirming that he is a true citizen of Nigeria. Alhaji Tanko Yakasai who is a Second Republic politician made this known in a statement personally signed by him while speaking with newsmen in Kano. He addressed the allegation made by the legal team of President Buhari’s against Atiku Abubakar, claiming the former Vice-President is not a citizen of Nigeria by birth. The statesman believes that Atiku Abubakar is a bona fide citizen of Nigeria. He mentioned that Atiku’s father hails from Sokoto while his mother is from Adamawa state. According to the words of the political leader, it seems “strange for leaders of the ruling party in Nigeria, the APC, to claim that former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, is not qualified to seek to be the president of Nigeria. Read more on https://idonsabi.com/atiku-abubakar-is-a-bona-fide-citizen-of-nigeria-alhaji-tanko-yakasai/ecoheight: The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, in the just concluded presidential election in Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has been asked by group, called, the Coalition of Minority Tribes in Nigeria to either return to Cameroon or seek naturalization in Nigeria.
The group gave the order following the claim of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that Atiku is a nationality of Cameroon and not a Nigerian. According. to the group, what Atiku has done by way concealing his identity is tantamount to crimes against humanity, saying he must tender an unreserved apology to Nigerians.
Addressing a news conference yesterday, Abdulmuminu Hassan, who is the secretary-general of the group said Ibrahim Babangida, a former head of state, during his regime, had refused to appoint Atiku as the comptroller-general of the Nigerian Customs Service because he realised that Atiku was not true Nigerian. The PDP candidate is a retired customs officer.
However, Hassan has given Atiku a 21-day ultimatum to return to Cameroon in order to reunite with his family members.
"This same scenario could also be the reason why former President Olusegun Obasanjo refused to allow him to succeed him as President of Nigeria in 2007. This much was stated by former president Olusegun Obasanjo in his autobiography “My Watch” where he stated in unequivocal terms that the paternity of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was 'shadowy."
"We are therefore constrained to state that it is such a shame that the Nigerian authorities have allowed such a sham fester for decades without detecting, and thereby causing Nigeria and Nigerians the opportunity to develop her country the way Nigerians would do. The Conference of Minority Tribes in Nigeria is indeed alarmed that the paternity of Alhaji Atiku was unlet undetected and he aspired and held the number two position of Vice President in Nigeria.
"His consequent actions while he was Vice President of Nigeria tells of a man who was hell-bent on destroying the country. Consequently, the Conference of Minority Tribes in Nigeria wishes to use this medium to issue a 21-day ultimatum to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar return to Cameroon to reunite with his family members. This is important to save Nigerians the trauma of having to deal with his nationality.
"The Conference of Minority also wishes to advise Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to in an alternative solution seek naturalization as a Nigerian by applying to the Federal Ministry of Interior in Nigeria. This way Nigerians would forgive him for his sins and show him understanding since he has lived the better part of his life in Nigeria. Though at a great disservice to Nigeria.
"The Conference of Minority Tribes in Nigeria shall not hesitate to mobilize its members across the nook and crannies in Nigeria to a street protest should Alhaji Atiku Abubakar fail to tender unreserved apologies to Nigerians, and also return to Cameroon or seek naturalisation in Nigeria", the text of Hassan speech.

WHAT LIVERPOOL WINNING THE LEAGUE WOULD MEAN…FOR AFRICA On a weekend that started with the announcement of the groups at this year’s African Nations Cup (AFCON), 2 Africans made their mark in what is, perhaps, their biggest game of their season. At Anfield, Sadio Mane and Mo Salah banished the demons of Gerrard’s slip by hammering Chelsea to put Liverpool as favourites to win the English Premier League title. In the face of ‘bomber’ chants from rival supporters, they provided the perfect response. This wasn’t a normal win…this win means more…for Africa. First of all, previous title wins have hardly involved more than one African; Yaya Toure was a key part of Man City’s title wins in 2012 and 2014 while Didier Drogba was Chelsea’s biggest asset in his prime when they won the league title as well…even Riyad Mahrez deserves a mention for his PFA-winning role in Leicester City’s fairytale league triumph. But rarely has it been seen that 2 Africans would spearhead a title win, let alone one that is long overdue. Liverpool have not won the league title since 1990…that’s too long. Man City may have Mahrez in their side but he has already won the trophy, and so this will feel more special if Salah and Mane got the title instead. The title serves as great build-up to the AFCON. The competition will be held, for the first time, in the summer. Salah and Mane, barring injury or whatever-reason-for-being-absent (God please), will be at the tournament; with Egypt and Senegal set to take centre-stage. After a dismal World Cup for both sides, the AFCON represents a golden chance to set things right. What better to do it than with a Premier League winner in your side? Even Nabi Keita could be in the tournament…Guinea also qualified. Awesome. Read more https://idonsabi.com/what-liverpool-winning-the-league-would-meanfor-africa/ Jh0wsef: .

A statement which was released from the antigraft agency stated that the suspects identified as Abdulsalam Toheeb, Salam Sikiru, Abdusalam Rasaq, Azeez Oladimeji, Eniola Mogaji, Alabi Ridwan and Asoroti Oluwaseun respectively were nabbed at the Eleganza Estate and Paradise Estate along Lekki/ Ajah area of Lagos state, after series of intelligence report was gathered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) about their activities within the area. Read more on https://idonsabi.com/efcc-apprehends-seven-suspected-internet-fraudsters-in-lagos-state/MrNollyzone: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has advised the general public to be vigilant in order not to fall victim to new tricks deployed by car thieves to dispossess unsuspecting Nigerians of their vehicles.
The alert is borne out of the shocking discoveries made during investigations into the allegations of crime levelled against one Babatunde Oluwatope Oni (aka Olu Daniel, Oni Daniel Oluwatope).
Babatunde, who hails from Odo Eri, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, was recently arrested by the Ibadan zonal office of the Commission for alleged conspiracy, stealing and issuance of dud cheque following a petition received from one Kamoru Yekini on November 21, 2018.
It was alleged that on October 16, 2018, two men approached him at his shop at Iwo town, Osun State to indicate interest in purchasing a 2006 Toyota Matrix car he displayed for sale.
After negotiation on the price, the two parties agreed on One Million, Five Hundred and Eighty Thousand Naira (N1,580,000), and a post-dated First Bank cheque was issued supposedly to cover the cost. The cheque bore the name Rabiu Bamidele Lateef as the account owner.
But, in order to veil his criminal intention, Babatunde allegedly acted as a driver to the other suspect (now at large), with whom he came for the negotiation. The other man falsely introduced himself as the account owner and a Doctor at Bowen University, Iwo.
Having agreed on the price, Bamidele left the scene to ‘deposit’ the money and later came with a copy of the deposit slip as an evidence of payment of the agreed sum.
Though not comfortable with the payment arrangement, the car dealer still reluctantly released the vehicle and the custom duty papers, hoping that he would contact the ‘buyer’ through his phone number should any issue arise.
It was until the following day that he got a call from his bank that the cheque has been returned unpaid due to insufficient funds.

There were outcries on the social media on Sunday over the killing of a 20-year-old woman by policemen in Ajegunle, Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos.
Ada Ifeanyi was shot dead at 4b, Amusa Lane, off Ojo Road, Ajegunle on Saturday morning.
The policemen also shot 32-year-old Emmanuel Akomafuwa, of 52, Babatunde Street, Olodi Apapa, at Akpiri Street, Olodi Apapa.
However, Lagos State Police Command has arrested and detained five police officers involved in the dastard act.
As the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Bala Elkana, a Deputy Superintendent (DSP) releases the photograph of the officers, many took to social media to demand justice for the slain women.
The officers, they said, should be tried as quickly as possible and be made to face a similar fate.
This, some said, would teach others lesson.
Donatus Igwe tweeted that the killing of innocent people by policemen is one too many.
“We cannot continue like this. We deserve a better policing that what we are getting. There is a need for psychological tests on our officers before we hand over guns to them,” he said.
May Ubeku @maybeks wrote that for every Nigerian killed by the police, they are pushing Nigerians to the wall.
“They (the police) make us feel helpless and hunted. This may backfire someday and the hunter would be hunted irrespective of the guns they carry. #endpolicebrutality,” she said.
Another tweeter @IchieDNonsHRM wrote: “Unfortunately, it is not the @PoliceNG that is the enemy of the youths in Nigeria. It is the Nigerian government itself that is the enemy of the youths.”
Yemi Fasipe on @YemieFASH responded that “Today, it is okay to say that the Nigerian Police is an enemy of the Nigerian Youths.
According to him, “We are yet to get over the murder of Kolade Johnson by men of the @PoliceNG, and just barely a week after they have killed another innocent Nigerian youth. Jessica (Ada) did not commit any crime. Looks like they have concluded to be killing us weekly. #EndPoliceBrutality.”
Another tweeter @dubbledizzle said: “These police officers are usually in a unit headed by a leader/superior officer. Until their unit commanders are also held responsible, these killings will still continue. #holdtheirsuperiorsresponsibleToo”
Elkana gave the names of the arrested officers as Inspector Adamu Usman, Sergeants Adeyeye Adeoye, Kashim Tijani, Lucky Akigbe and Paul Adeoye.
According to him, Inspector Dania Ojo, who escaped immediately after the shooting, is declared wanted by the command.
The Commissioner of Police (CP), Zubairu Muazu, he said, called for calm, as the command will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that justice prevails.
He added that the CP expressed the command’s deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ada Ifeanyi and promised to foot the bills of Emmanuel Akomafuwa.
Elkana said: “The victims were taken to a hospital and Ada was confirmed dead. Emmanuel is on admission receiving treatment for the injury he sustained.
“Members of the team suspected to be involved in the shooting are from Trinity Police Station and are facing internal disciplinary proceedings at the command’s headquarters in Ikeja. “Their rifles have been retrieved for forensic analysis by ballisticians. If found wanting, they will be prosecuted at a conventional court for murder.
“The policemen arrested are:
“Lagos State Police Command condemned in total, these senseless killings of unarmed civilians by few ‘bad eggs’ in the command, who are bent on denting the image of the police.
“The command will not relent in its efforts in ridding the force of these criminals. Those involved in extrajudicial killings and abuse of power are promptly identified, isolated, tried through internal disciplinary proceedings, dismissed from service and prosecuted in conventional courts.”
Elkana added that the command had in the last one month dismissed four policemen for abuse of power and conducts unbecoming of police officers and punished 41 others.
“The four dismissed policemen were charged to court and remanded in prison custody. Our resolve in building a more humane, professional, dedicated, courageous and people-oriented force is a task that must be done and together we can make it a reality,” he said.

Barack Obama Pays Tribute To Nipsey Hussle. In a letter that was read during the late Nipsey Hussle’s memorial, Barack Obama pays tribute to the late musician. The letter reads as follow: Dear Friends and Family of Nipsey: I’d never met Nipsey Hussle, but I’d heard some of his music through my daughters, and after his passing, I had the chance to learn more about his transformation and his community work. While most folks look at the Crenshaw neighborhood where he grew up and see only gangs, bullets, and despair, Nipsey saw potential. He saw hope. He saw a community that, even through its flaws, taught him to always keep going. His choice to invest in that community rather than ignore it — to build a skills training center and a coworking space in Crenshaw; to lift up the Eritrean-American community; to set an example for young people to follow — is a legacy worth of celebration. I hope his memory inspires more good work in Crenshaw and communities like it. Michelle and I send our sympathies to Lauren, Emani, Kross, and the entire Asghedom family and to all those who loved Nipsey. Sincerely, Barack Obama. In 2015, General Muhammadu Buhari, made the over 180million Nigerians to believe, he was the solution to the looming security challenges that confronted the nation, and that became the key factor for his massive acceptance and open support from the citizens, even up to the international community; especially the United State of America, under the then President Barack Obama.
On May 29, 2015, after an historic victory at the general elections, President Buhari took an oath of office as Nigeria’s fifth democratically elected Executive President. It was indeed historic. Not only did he win on his fourth attempt, but his doggedness was uncommon in these shores, dislodging an incumbent from the largest party in sub-Saharan Africa. This accorded a general accolades and unwavering support. In him, many Nigerians ululated they had found the messiah, envisioning the Nigeria of their dream under his watch. His ascendancy was acclaimed in some quarters as the much-awaited answer to the country’s leadership challenge.
But four years after, this euphoria has waned significantly. This inspired this diligent assessment of Buhari’s performance, taking cognizance of his promise as a candidate. During his campaigns in 2015, President Buhari publicly Nigerians to expertly, address the impeding security challenge that was confronting the country within his first 3 months in office, while emphatically promising to secure the safe release/return of the 274 abducted Chibok Girls within his first 100 days in office. Two years later, nothing positive happened, rather at his third year, a set of girls were presented to Nigerians as the purported abducted Chibok Girls, which got a reprove comment from international media especially the CNN, that the purported girls were rather healthier than girls who were supposed to be under captive, with grave condition of rape, and malnutrition due to poor dieting.
To many, this was a deliberate act by the Buhari's Government, to shroud the sham and failure of his administration to achieve his campaign assurance.
Emphatically, this confirmed the suspicion that the Chibok Girls abduction was a scam, perpetrated to blackmail the then Administration of Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. As no sane person could ever imagine such a number of girls (about two hundred seventy six) would be abducted and ferry in a single truck within such a distance, without apprehension as claimed by the security agencies.
Consequently, another testament which is an exposure to this tandem who fabricated this fluke adoption is the immediate appointment of the Principal of the affected Chibok School as the State Commissioner of Education, shortly after the impending incident is yet resolved.
If truly there was such an atrocious incident of kidnapping in an institution she headed and also considering the security reports that she was earlier instructed to vacate the students from the school premises, a week before the supposed heinous crime. This shows, she lacks good administration prowess, and then, how come a woman with such incompetence, who mismanaged a circumference institution be given an entire educational sector of Borno State to manage?
A question no APC leader can answer. In 2015, Nigeria’s former President Goodluck Jonathan during the UN Security Council in New York asserted the total number of death rate by the Boko Haram violent campaign against the Nigerian state under his administration to be at about 13,000 people. While according to the United Nations Humanitarian Agency (OCHA), between May and December 2013, the Boko Haram violent related death rate was at about 1,224 people. While the Amnesty International reported the civilian and militants death rate by the Armed Forces to be at about 950 people, claiming it source, as credible information from a senior officer of the Nigeria Army, who confirms that the afore number of people died in the military custody between the first six months of 2013.
Adding this to the 4,000 fatalities reported in 2014, and the widely-held estimates of 3,000 to 4,000 deaths between 2009 and mid-2013, the total number of people killed by Boko Haram and the Nigerian military would be, conservatively speaking, at about 9,000 to 10,000.
Accordingly, higher figures are reported by the Nigeria Security Tracker, a project run by Africa programme of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). It estimated the death toll from May 2011 (when it began it work) to August 2015 at about 17,500. This included 6,742 deaths linked directly to Boko Haram, and a further 10,806 killings involving “Boko Haram and state perpetrators”. The latter category covers instances in which Armed Forces and insurgents have directly engaged each other, which the victims are never ascertained.
CFR measures extra-judicial killings by state forces separately. This available data suggests that as few as 9,000 and as many as 17,500 people died out of insurgency. Which the latter figure includes killings by both Boko Haram and the Nigerian military. This clarifies that President Jonathan’s claim of 13,000 deaths referred to those by insurgents or general conflict may be correct. However, the statement appears to be broadly accurate if the killing by the military is considered.
African crime tracker report also shows that between 2015 and 2019 Fulani Herdsmen have killed over 27,761 Nigerians across the country, with Benue State alone recording a death rate of over 8000 locals. 4 years later the President Buhari administration, Boko Haram insurgency instead of reducing it activities considering over 4trillion Naira that have been invested in the military as claimed by the Government have continued to expand their territory, killing both Military and Civilians.
United Nation Crime Tracker in Africa reports the number of people killed by the deadly insurgent in Nigeria between 2015 and 2019 to be about 39,243 people. There remained at least 1.7 million Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the North-Eastern States of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa; with 39% living in camps or similar settings and 61% in host communities.
The UN further revealed that 5.2 million people in the North-East remained in urgent need of food assistance; 450,000 children under five in urgent need of nutrition. While Doctors without Borders in July, reported that 240 children died as a result of malnutrition in Borno State. While the South-East Biafra agitation has recorded over 234 dead between 2015 and 2019 according to Amnesty International report. Also in the last general election, over 155 people lost their lives either by the Military or Police bullet or the sledgehammer of political thuggery.
Some protesters from Zamfara yesterday says that 30 to 50 people are murdered everyday in Zamfara and a catholic bishop who resides in Kaduna accuses the Government of sponsoring the Kaduna State killings, as 100 to 140 Christian are murdered everyday in the State.
Truth be told, four years after promising that Boko Haram would be decimated in three months, the terrorists have not been defeated, technically or otherwise. Instead, Nigeria has become a huge killing field with Fulani herdsmen, which Global Terrorism Index named the fourth deadliest terror group in the world, wreaking havoc.
Everyhere in Nigeria today is grave and the Government are busy playing politics with this carnage and this have made many to believe that this killing is either ethnic cleansing; a bid to eradicate Christianity from Nigeria because most people who are victims of this genocide are massively Christians.
The Government is so silent, President Buhari as commander in-chief have not visited any incident site nor condemn the killing of Christians and farmers alike by men of his tribe, the "Fulani Herdsmen".
In Nigeria today, if one cow is killed, hundred innocent Nigerians will die and over two hundred houses and farms burnt down, and if one Fulani Herdsman is killed over ten thousand Christians will perish. Nigeria under you is fast becoming a huge mass grave.
President Buhari told the world during his inaugural speech in 2015 that he belonged to no one but the entire Nigerians. Today, not a few would disagree with the President on this, not for any other reason than the fact that he (President) has carried on, both by his appointments and body language as a sectional leader
Mr President, it is time you rose up to the endless killing spree before the whole country becomes one massive graveyard |
