The Lagos State Police Command has began the investigation into the alleged molestation of a four-year-old pupil of the University of Lagos Women Society Nursery and Primary School, Akoka, Lagos.

The Lagos State Police Command has arraigned now former Inspector Ogunyemi Olalekan before a Chief Magistrate Court in Ebute-Metta on Friday, April 5th.

Ogunyemi Olalekan, as we all know, is the police officer accused of killing football fan identified as Kolade Johnson, during a raid in Mangoro on Sunday March 31st.

Kolade Johnson before his death was known to be a Liverpool fan as he went to a viewing center to catch a glimpse of his club in action before he met his death.

The wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha has eulogised former Director- General, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), late Prof. Dora Akunyili.

Describing Akunyili as a very dedicated, hardworking and transparent in her service years while speaking at the 25th anniversary of NAFDAC in Abuja, Mrs Buhari said her family became interested in Akunyili during Buhari’s days at the Petroleum Trust Fund, because of her transparent, hard work and dedication to service.

Information reaching iDONSABI indicates that the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria,(CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen has resigned with immediate effect.

According to TheCable, Justice Onnoghen turned in his resignation letter to President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday evening, a day after the National Judicial Council (NJC) recommended that he be compulsorily retired for misconduct.’

Recall that the NJC had on Wednesday has forwarded the outcome of its investigation into corruption allegations against Onnoghen, who is on suspension to President Muhammadu Buhari, for action after it convened an emergency meeting to consider the report of the five-man committee it constituted to investigate allegations of misconduct that were levelled against the suspended Chief Justice and the Acting CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad.

— The Federal Government on Monday summoned Adnan Bostaji, the Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Nigeria, over the case of the execution of a Nigerian woman in Saudi Arabia.

— The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mustapha Suleiman has said that going forward, the government will ensure that whenever a Nigerian citizen is arrested or on trial, the Nigerian Mission in Saudi Arabia will be informed and follow up on the case.

The summon is a result of a public outrage all over the world as regards the execution of over 53 people in 2019 alone for similar offenses.

If we recall, Mrs Afolabi, a widow and mother of two, was executed alongside two Pakistan nationals, both males, and a Yemeni man for drug trafficking.

Nigerian Senator and Media Mogul, Ben Bruce has reacted to the recent victory of Governor Nyesome Wike at the polls.

Governor Nyesome Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP won his re-election bid as the Governor of Rivers State after a fierce battle between INEC and Rivers State contestants.

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has announced the arrest of the suspected killers of Kolade Johnson.

Kolade Johnson was hit by a stray bullet during a police raid of a football viewing centre where he had gone to watch a football match.

The manner in which he died in the hands of SARS operatives generated massive outrage across the country especially on various social media platforms.

Kolade Johnson’s death generated so much outrage that the presidency had to address the family of the deceased, sending his condolences.

COOU student dies in accident after he was sent out of exam hall to get a haircut

A student of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Univeristy, Ezeh Jonathan has died following an accident which occured after he was sent out of an exam hall because of his hair style.

According to reports, the student, Ezeh Goodluck was denied entry into the examination hall for his exams because of his style of haircut. He was also asked to produce his ID card.

So he left the faculty in a bid to have another haircut but got involved in an accident which flung him from the motorcycle he boarded into the gutter.

Reno Omokri Attacks Buhari Again Over Fresh Zamfara Killing

Reno Omokri, a former media aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari, for not reacting to fresh killing in Zamfara state.

According to reports, gunmen suspected of belonging to gangs involved in cattle rustling and kidnapping attacked a village in the northeastern state, leaving 10 people dead.

Driver confesses how he lured, raped and killed NYSC member in Ogun State

A driving instructor, identified as Festus Udoh from Edo State, has narrated the chilly tale of how he lured, raped and killed a 23-year-old corp member, Modupe Kawose in Ogun State.

Festus Udoh said he lured the unsuspecting victim into a bush at Mawuko, Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State, where he raped and strangled her.

The Lagos State Government has closed down the hospital where a 15-month-old twin girl, Taiye, died over wrong blood infusion.

The Vice President stated this on Sunday at the old Banquet Hall of the State House during a special thanksgiving service for the victory of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the recent presidential election.

Recall that the chopper of the Vice President crash landed in Kabba, Kogi state during a presidential campaign of the ruling party.

While noting that they would have been saddled with the responsibility of explaining their roles in needless conspiracy theories, Osinbajo pointed that if he had died in the crash, many government and non-government officials, including his security details, would have been blamed or put in trouble for many things they didn’t even know about.

God is truly worthy of praise and thanksgiving. It is impossible to thank Him enough. I and my family, and so many of us here today have so many reasons to thank Him.

Occasionally, my wife and I reflect on how unlikely our journey here is. She frequently reminds me that all she wanted was a quiet life as one of the many families of academics living on the University campus. That was all that I promised, and that’s all that she really expected, but here we are.

If someone had said to me in 2013, “you will be campaigning across the country; attending rallies and that you would win the elections and become the Vice President of Nigeria”, I would, because I am generally polite, have said amen, but in my heart, I would have said what a crazy chap!

Anyone who knows how difficult it is to campaign for Local Government Chairman and win, will understand how difficult it is to accept that merely because someone said so, that you would be elected into any position. I’m sure many of us here today, also celebrating the success of the elections, national assembly members and governors-elect also, would accept that except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain who build it. It is impossible to know the outcomes of anything. It is the Almighty God who brings about the wonderful phase that we celebrate and thank Him for.

I realize that I have no special qualification to be here or to have enjoyed such an incredible promotion. Psalms 75:6 says for exaltation comes neither from the East nor from the West nor from the South, all the exaltations comes from God.

Psalms 75:7 says but God is the Judge; He puts down one, and He exalts another. I want to thank the Almighty God for exaltations. I want to thank Him also for all of us here present, and those believing God for exaltations. I believe the Lord God Almighty would promote you also in Jesus name.

On the 2nd of February 2019, God gave me and members of my family, friends and colleagues, even further reasons to know that if not for His mercies, we would have been consumed. We were going to Kogi for a two-day campaign tour, and then our helicopter crashed as we got in to land at Kabba. You know how it is when things happen, everybody becomes spiritual; everybody becomes a prophet, people saying why and how?

I remember in the split second when the incident occurred, for a second, there was absolute silence and nobody said anything. It was my brother who started shouting Jesus Jesus Jesus! But for a moment, there was complete silence in the helicopter.

On reflection, it occurred to me that if we had died, that is what would have happened, complete silence, nobody saying a single word. A few minutes later with all of the activities, all of us got out of the helicopter without a scratch. God is surely worthy to be praised!

I reflected over the various problems that would have occurred; the smaller problems would have been the rumours, how did it happen? Who did it? Why did they do it? With the way we are, I just felt sorry for so many people who would have been involved in conspiracy theories of things they knew absolutely nothing about. But God delivered them too because they would have had to explain themselves.

We bless the name of God that He not only wrought such a great deliverance, but that He did it in such a way that only He could take the glory. We give all the glory to Him!

I want to thank everyone who has supported in so many different ways, all through the campaigns and elections, so much support and prayers, so much love and kindness. I pray that the Almighty God would be kind to you also, you will never lack in support, you will never lack in care and affection, you will never lack the genuine prayers of those who want you to succeed in the mighty name of Jesus.

I pray that all of us will travel in aircrafts and the Almighty God will always deliver. It is by His grace that we are delivered. It is not by anything we do or we are careful not to do.

I recall that there was a gentleman who was talking about how it is always good to exercise, but another friend of ours reminded him that there was a particular gentleman who we all knew very well, who died while exercising. So I think that all we can depend on is the sheer grace of the Almighty God.

So we praise the Almighty God and I want each and every one of us who believes that the Almighty God is worthy of praise, shout one mighty halleluiah!

– The president, Bobboi Kaigama expressed his sincere gratitude to the lawmakers and the senate, in bringing the actualization of the new wage to reality.

– The President has also made it known that the inflation in prices of commodities will affect the overall impact of the new wage bill.

The President of the Trade Union Congress, Comrade Bobboi Kaigama, has said that although the organised labour appreciates the efforts of the federal government, and the senate in approving the new N30, 000 minimum wage, the prices of commodities have increase drastically, even before employers start to get paid the new wage.

TUC Congratulates Ayade on His Overwhelming Victory


The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has congratulated Cross River state Governor, Professor Ben Ayade and his Deputy, Professor Ivara Ejemot Esu on their overwhelming victory in the March 9 governorship polls.

In a congratulayory letter to the governor signed by its state Chairman, Comrade Clarkson Otu and Secretary  Pastor George Umoh,  the TUC praised  Professor Ayade's industrialisation zeal and expressed optimism that his second term will fast track the development of Cross River and enhance the emancipation of workers.

The labour union stated its readiness to work with the governor for the good of the state.

“As a Labour centre,  we are ready to partner with your government in ensuring welfare package for workers of Cross River state and even for the good governance of our state", it told the governor.

The TUC prayed God to grant Professor Ayade the strength and grace " that you need to fufill your promises to the people of Cross River state.”

Nnamdi Kanu has said that Nigerian law courts and their judges are of no consequence to him, being a British citizen.

– He further challenged the Federal Government come for him, as he is ready for any challenge.



Nnamdi Kanu, The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra , has asked the Federal Government of Nigeria not to indict him any further, as it could provoke him to making the country ungovernable .

Kanu described an alleged plan by the Federal Government to arrest him abroad with the International Police as an effort that would never succeed.

The Nigerian Navy in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital, on Friday, March 29th, rescued a two-month-old baby and 11 others from drowning in Ngo waterways in Rivers state.

The Base Information Officer of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Pathfinder in Port Harcourt, Lt. identified as Ernest Jim, made it clear that the troops on routine patrol of the waterways sighted a capsized boat and immediately intervened to rescue the passengers who were 12 in number.

According to Ernest Jim, the boat was loaded over capacity and that was the reason why it cap sized.

Tolu Ogunlesi, a media aide to President Muhamamdu Buhari has reacted to the story published by the Sun newspaper which claimed that a total of 25. 6 million applications passed through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) recruitment portal before it formally closed Tuesday.

According to the paper, a source familiar with the recruitment process said it further showed the picture of the magnitude of the country’s unemployment challenge.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) revealed that Nigeria’s unemployment in the third quarter of 2018 (Q3,2018), rose from 18.8 percent in Q3 2017 to 23.1 percent in the third quarter of 2018.

A Ugandan child rapper, Patrick Sseyonjo whose stage name is Fresh Kid has been threatened with jail if he doesn’t stop doing music and focus on his education.

The threat on the young talent was announced by Ugandan’s Minister of Youth Affairs, Florence Nakiwala.

In a recent chat with BBC, the Minister warned that if Fresh Kid doesn’t stop doing music and concentrate on his education, she would have no choice but to send him to juvenile prison.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has again blamed the past administration for allegedly wasting Nigeria’s resources.

Osinbajo who represented president Muhammadu Buhari at the 11th Bola Tinubu Colloquium. in Lagos on Thursday criticised the past government for not achieving enough for the country in the time when there was abundance in the country.

Tinubu, a former Lagos governor clocked 67 today.

Vice President Osinbajo has lauded his principal, President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he said never claimed to be an orator, but gets things done.

Osinbajo stated this at the 11th Bola Tinubu Colloquium entitled ‘Next Level and Work For People’ in Lagos state on Thursday where he represented President Buhari.

“The President has never claimed to be an orator – he just gets things done. There’s a track record here, not of talking, but of getting things done. And that’s what we’ve seen in the last 4 years,” he stated.

Buhari Assures Pensioners Of Regular Payment As He Launches Micro Pension Plan
President Muhammadu Buhari has assured pensioners regular payment of their entitlements.

The President made the promise on Thursday when he launched the Micro Pension Plan (MPP) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Pointing that his administration remains committed to pension payment despite the lean resources of government, President Buhari noted that the initiative is part of plans to ensure that hardworking Nigerians live in dignity and retire without fear.

He, therefore, urged traders, unions, non- governmental organizations and other stakeholders in the informal sector of the nation’s economy to join hands with the government to enlighten their members of the benefits of the micro pension plan.

I heard President Muhammadu Buhari is absent at Bola Tinubu's Colloquium currently going on in Abuja.

Last year, before the elections, Tinubu organise the colloquium in Lagos and President Buhari flew in from Abuja to attend.

This year, less than a month after election, Tinubu even took the colloquium to Buhari's backyard in Abuja, but the President was nowhere to be seen.

Tinubu is the modern-day Afonja who sacrificed the interest of his people but was betrayed by Fulanis.

I hope he won't end up like MKO Abiola.
