Hello house... Is anyone traveling to Dubai from Lagos tomorrow via Kenya Airways first flight? I need a travel buddy... Cheers!

Hello house, from my understanding, after the three months visa has been converted to two years work visa, we longer need to exit and return back to the UAE, as you can continue with your work after the conversion without exiting the UAE... hope I am not wrong?

Yes, I did.

I doubt if this is possible because you are meant to do your medicals in the UAE, but prior to that one, you are supposed to run a medical check up here in Nigeria at the accredited hospitals and attest the result at the UAE embassy. Hope you trust this your agent, cos haven't heard of this before. By the way where and how did they conduct your medicals for you?

Yes, I travelled 20 days after my biometrics and am in uae right now.

All is well, just follow your heart and luck. UAE is still better than Nigeria, don't deceive yourself and say you want to do one business in Nigeria. Come here and try your luck, the odds are better here.

Doing business in Nigeria was never and not an option for me now. I will be coming in next week. Got my visa on the 5th.

I've already gotten medical clearance, the company already did medicals and gave me clearance, so it's biometrics next?

I don't get, they did the medicals for you here in Nigeria? I am lost please.

Abeg, you seem to know alot about all this. I just signed my labour contract (I'm in Naija), what's the next step, is it e-visa? And how would I still need to go to Abuja?

lol... I really don't know much, the little I know is based on what I have learnt here. Well, to answer your question, the next step will be for you to proceed to Abuja where you will do your medicals at the accredited hospitals (two of which have been listed few pages back), after that is done you will then proceed to the embassy where you will attest the medical report, then follow the process to getting your sticker visa, then you proceed to the UAE, the earlier you get on this process the better for you.

Thanks so much for your responses.

The truth is that I can't travel earlier than the date I chose. I wish I could but some personal and financial reasons beyond my control won't allow it.

I have to say this that nairaland has been of so much tremendous help to me ever since the beginning of this processing. One thing that hasn't been helping us in this part of the world is lack of information. This thread has been able to provide lots of information. However, I'll still say that there are too many speculations and assumptions and very little facts.

I had to walk into the embassy to make enquiries from the officials today and based on what I found out, the 45 days is still an assumption or otherwise a time span for the biometrics. I do not entirely trust them because of their corrupt processes and selfish mindset but I think if the 45 days deadline is official, it should be specified somewhere or the other by the UAE government, UAE is a very organized country from what have seen.

I agree that people's visas are been cancelled before entry but it's not only because of time deadline, I met someone whose visa came out this June and was cancelled. People's Visa are been cancelled even before 40 days. The little explanation I was able to get was that cancellation involves agents one way or the other.

Am not trying to mislead anybody but am willing to take this gamble. My Visa States clearly that I have almost a month before I move so I'm sticking to that. Those that have their visa cancelled should find out exactly why. There is a reason why the embassy is always telling people to contact their agent after having visa cancelled.

For what it's worth, I am willing to use myself as an example in this 45 days issue and am very optimistic. I'll share my experience later about the outcome so people can learn. I believe if am destined to go to UAE, some assumptions or speculations cannot stop me. I have already warned my agent not to try any nonsense.

Thanks again to everyone that has contributed to this thread.

How far? Have you traveled?

"Youth President"? Some kind of joke going on there now I think though.... I repeat, Nigeria missions abroad in all their inefficiency will do better than this! They ain't just ripe for what they are doing, not at all.

Can not forget about the two young men these guys and their security personnel literally hounded and dragged out of the embassy, for insisting their visas expired due to no fault of theirs but the embassy's.

"DPO" too ke? SMH....

As for the case of visa expiration, if it was actually canceled then the young man has scores to settle with the agent that processed the visa, but if it's actual expiration, then the question is how early did he apply for biometrics after getting the e-visa, all these must have been considered. I feel for the young man tho, it's really painful.

I have been a silent follower of this forum, please I need an advice, someone of my relations has agreed to sponsor me to Dubai through a friend but from information am getting from some of my friends is that there's no job in Dubai which makes me to not interested with his arrangements but considering that I don't have any job currently in Nigeria leave me with no option than to accept it but,the person processing the visa said that it's an employment visa with a company in Dubai which makes me to question the authenticity of the guy.I will like to know if there's anything like employment or working visa? And what's the possibility of me getting job on my own over there if is not an employment visa?

There's employment visa but more often than not, the kind of Job that comes with direct employment isn't worth it most times, hence it's better you come with three months visa and scout for a job yourself on the issue about no job in Dubai, well, it depends on your mind set and how prepared you are... There are seven emirates In the UAE, the choice of limiting yourself to dubai alone is yours. I hope this helps

Bro, can u assist me with info concerning ow u get ur 3months visa?
Thanks

Get a reliable agent who will help you get a 3 months visa, after the print out is issued, you proceed to Abuja where you are expected to do your biometrics and subsequently your passport will be stamped, get back to me if you have any difficulties afterwards. This forum doesn't allow us share numbers or market agents, hence I will advice you visit Google, search for top ten reliable travel agencies In Nigeria, open the page then call all of them while you compare the cost and location.

Regards.

When I came in I was charged 700AED for a month, but noticed some agents take as low as 400AED, but that will entail calling agents and inspecting bed spaces, but were I stay is 700 which is on d high side though.

Wow, 700 is on the high side, I will do my research and get something within my budget, say 500-550 there about. Thank you so very much!

From dubai airport, take a metro (train, usually about 6AED or u take a taxi outside d airport for 20AED) to Union metro station, come out of the station and ask were u can board a bus to ajman, the park is just besides the station, board d bus it's about 15AED to ajman bus stop. Thats how to get to ajman.

God bless you my brother.

bro, the reason at times is that questions being asked might not relate with the info that person need, like your case you need acomodation around Ajman and you want someone staying in Abu Dhabi or Dubai to give you info on that? It will be just a misinformation.. if you need any info related to Abu Dhabi then I can say what I know about it but any other city apart from that I know nothing.

I was about asking you if you read my question but then I felt that would be embarrassing. It's really laughable, I asked so that anyone in ajman would respond, and as you can see, I have a response already. It amazing how people digest questions. And even if you aren't in ajman you might know someone who can help out. Relax and read questions properly and don't respond like this, it's really laughable.

Most people spent their whole day on this forum and even insulted some for not responding when they needed information about UAE, immediately they arrive the UAE, they fail to reciprocate the same kind gesture that was showed to them by few nice people here, that's a typical Nigerian attitude. If change will really start with us, then let's do things differently, it costs nothing responding and giving out information where and when necessary.

Oh, I clearly understand but how then can genuine people willing to help out now render help? Well, i will really need help anyway possible, atleast I won't be paying until I see what I am paying for and confirm from people around. Kindly help out in this case, give me a direction from the dubai airport or anyone with a good bed space of about 500AED in Ajman should kindly give me directions from the dubai airport, thanks in anticipation.

So sorry for your refusal. It really hurts when you personally know that you qualify for an NIV and get refused.

Let me throw some light on your situation, so you won't blame the VO that interviewed you or the US Embassy.

Nigeria is a country of over 180 million and the truth is you cannot 100% trust documents that originate from Nigeria. The VO has a very short time to decide if you are credible or not. Many Nigerians go as far as placing fake Visas and entry/exit stamps on their passport. So the VO has to depend on your answers to determine your CREDIBILITY not what you write on the form or your documents.

So for your case it's not that you don't have ties to Nigeria, but you weren't able to demonstrate that you are credible.

From the way you answered the VOs questions, if i was the VO, i will also refuse you the visa.

So in conclusion, you didn't demonstrate that you qualified for the US Visa. So please don't blame the VOs, they are not witches or wizards to know you.

Once more, sorry for your refusal.

Coming here to search for job is like playing bet9ja with your money. It's 2way, 50/50

If it's better than the Nigerian situation, then my brother, it's not 50/50, but it's 70/30, depends on how your see it.

Please house I need someone at the ministry of education to confirm for me may be it's true that the director to sign for the attestation of certificate wasn't around, cos the person I sent my certificate to in naija, told me now he has submitted my certificate in MOE since Wednesday but director wasn't around for signing.....anybody with genieu info on this please

If the person you sent it to has "Y" as one of his initials, he usually helps people with attestation issues at the embassy, then I must tell you the truth, that's his format. He will eventually get it done, but you have to be on his case. But if he's not the one, then I guess it's their general format. Just mount pressure on whoever...

What it means is that, you have until the expiry date on your visa to be in the UAE. Then upon entering the UAE, your 90 days starts counting.
