URGENT PLEASE!!
How much can one budget for:

Attestation of WAEC & B. Tech
Biometrics
MOFA & MOE

What other thing should be done after Visa's been confirmed and cost?

God bless your works#

Nothing less than 100k if you are Authenticating just your Degree certificate, but if both your waec and degree, then that's way above that. Considering your biometrics 30k, authentication cost, transport, feeding, embassy wahala and other misselenoues. My advice is, since you will be working with your degree certificate when the need arises, authenticate it, just show them your waec as proof... but if you have enough cash, go ahead and do all.

Story. I did it my self and I am giving you facts, don't state what you are not sure of, a three months tourist visa costs how much? Then the return ticket nko? Stop misleading people here with fake gists, it's so unfair. Then money for biometrics in Abuja? Then bta nko? Do your research well before coming here to give speculations. Give me a break down how they arrived at 500k. Your story seems too fake!!!!

How much does it cost...?
give your opinion.

We're talking about 800k to 1m. Covers, visa, biometrics, return ticket, money to runs job when you arrive dubai or money to pay your rent and feed if you choose to job hunt yourself.... from experience with 500k might not even be enough for visa and flight tickets sef.

If I were the guy...I would do business with it here in Nigeria....say Agro biz like palm oil(buy and sell when price doubles or tripples)that won't affect anything. Make it 2m or 3m...then, look into Canada Express entry or Australia PR. Those are the best for now. If you're not interested in doing biz with the money, Then...Invest 800k in Nigeria Treasury Bill. Spend the remaining 500k on Dubai or Abu Dhabi job package...You can earn 150k to 250k on monthly basis. If after two years...You're not cool with the place. You should have saved about 2m to 3m...Plus about 1m plus that the TB would have grown to...That's enough to take you to anywhere reasonable in Europe, America or Australia.

Just for the records, 500k no reach anywhere if you wanna run dubai or Abu Dhabi job package o, as in, e no go anywhere.

How do I know when my visa is available and when to pick up my passport?

You go to the embassy two days after doing your biometrics.

PLS, THOSE WHO HAVE DONE THEIRS, HOW TRUE IS THAT INFORMATION ABOVE

Very true. But to cut cost you don't need to attest you WAEC if you have a B. Sc, tho they will need to sight the original WAEC certificate before they attest your degree certificate.

Good day everyone, I was at the embassy the other day to pick up my visa and it's now confirmed that, while you have 45 days after your e-visa is issued to you to go do your biometrics, after your passport is then stamped in Abuja, you have another 57 days to plan your trip and travel from the day it was pasted on your passport.

Pleaee house I wanna ask...is it true that the person issuing the eligibility letter at the Ministry of Education isn't on seat at the moment? Cos that's what the person helping me with the process said. I am sceptical about this really... anyone doing his/her attestation should kindly respond.

so guys be careful and warn your friends and family not to relax with this biometric stuff.

I gave up almost 400k to this visa ish...turned out my name was not on the appointment list of the day even though I was given appointment for June 20something, Polly my slot was sold (typical once Nigerians are involved in anything).

my advice is once your visa is issued, book an appointment immediately and ensure you calculate the date given doesn't exceed or go close to the so-called 45days period even though it says 58 on my visa temporary copy.

a lot of bribery going on around the embassy I advice you follow suit to save yourselves stress and unnecessary spendings.

I have settled for a residence visa and thank God once it's out I have no business with Abuja. am told it will take a month or almost to process which I have started already.

Good luck to everyone and stay guided. here helps too.

Thanks for this piece of advise.

My dear nairalander, please I have a very important question to ask about the 45 days issue.

I did my biometric before the 45 days. However, my flight booking is after the 45 days. Does this mean I won't be allowed to fly? On the visa sticker, it shows that I have enough time before I fly to dubai but the info am hearing on this forum is that you have to fly within that 45 days.

Please I need to know if anyone has tried to fly after 45 days and if they were allowed to fly at the airport or not? Please I need an answer, my heart is beating fast right now.

Few pages back, someone shared an experience where his brother wasnt allowed to travel because he had exceeded the 45days time frame. Hence, I am sure you don't want same. Just adjust your ticket to fit into your 45 days time frame from when your visa was issued in the UAE.

Please house I need to book ticket ASAP but ticketing agents are calling price that are outrageous.

Please someone should help direct me on how to get a cheaper deal.

No need for any agent, just go to wakanow.com and you will get tickets moderately okay. Payments can as well be processed online swiftly.

Cos I just have about three days to stay in Abuja. I just wanna book then come back to Lagos and return to Abuja on or before the date of biometrics. Your swift response will be appreciated.

I was given a longer date and my visa might expire before then how do I go back to abuja to reschedule the date?

By actually going back to Abuja to reschedule immediately.
Travel / Re: QATAR AND UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES Part 3 by SirWellington(m): 9:47am On Jun 20, 2018
I believe if you are given a date that exceeds the 45 day period for your biometrics, you should reschedule, I guess some people here have done it. They can't give you a date that exceeds the validity period of your e-visa and you too now remain calm. Even if your visa gets canceled it shouldn't be because it exceeded the validity period, In that case, you did not do the needful.

Uncle this information wasn't digested well here.

The new immigration law means that 'Persons in Dubai already will have the option of doing a 6 months job and go not necessarily mean 2 years. and if the 6 months expires, He/She can renew without exiting for another 6 months. This was borne out of flexibility and necessity for UAE to not lose Nationals who are already productive to the Country under the guise of exiting to go effect Visa Change'.

Meanwhile know that this is subject to Nationals which have not been stated clearly. We hope and wise it gets to Nigeria Nationals over there too.

It provides clearly....

New 6-month visa to be introduced for job seekers who overstayed their visa but wish to work in the country. Temporary visa to enhance the UAE's position as a land of opportunities, a destination for talents and professionals.

Pay attention to "job seekers", from my understanding this is for those who wish to extent their stay in order to secure a job. It wasn't stated that the option of doing a six month job was open, instead, the six months period is to afford you enough time to job hunt, this i believe was borne out of the realization that the likes of America and Co developed sequel to contributions by other nationals and to exonerate the poise of the UAE as a land of opportunities. What we don't know yet is whether certain countries will be exempted from enjoying this privilege. Kindly share with me how you arrived at your conclusion so I can learn. Kind regards

Nigerians can't wait to know the new fee for visa extention in UAE. This new six months innovation is really necessary, thank God.

I wish i came across all these info before. The way I see it, the agents and people that are collecting visa money are the ones benefiting from everything. It's like going from fry pan to fire.

It's risky entering the UAE with this kind of mindset. It might mess a whole lot up for you, be optimistic about you journey, you don't need to pay for the appointment except you are in a haste or your temporal visa is almost expiring, do your attestation, book for your ticket and proceed, be positive, e bad as a bad you go get work.
