this should b in the romance section

i dnt really think u should venture into a relationship with som1 u dont trust, and ain't sure about cox it will always comeback to hunt u. u don't trust him, u ain't sure that he will change, then don't do it. or why not just watch him and see if he dares to  change?/ though he might change so to get u and then go back to his oldish. so if it was me i wouldn't do it.

trust is one of the core aspects of a relationship and when it is lacking in a relationship, the relationship is already a failure. and since u dont trust him now, that doubtfulness will also linger in that relationship if u go ahead with it cox then everything he does may seem as untrue to u, which maybe escalate into an argument blah, blah then the failure of it.

@Poster

Thanks for bringing this up.  When I saw the first Ad yesterday, I smiled and thought about starting a topic. When I saw the second Ad, three things came to mind

1) Seun should separate the Christian dating service from the general dating service
2) Should Christian use forum (on-line dating services) to find boyfriend/husband
3) are these ladies seeking partners their way (because they think their biological clocks are ticking) or God’s way (depend on God to meet someone)?

Even though the Bible doesn’t tell us exactly how to date, personally I feel uneasy when I see Christians trying to find partners on line.  I guess because where I come from, our teaching on finding a partner (if you can’t find one in your church) is to visit other churches, conventions, church rallies, programs, Christian  plays etc.  there was never an option about on-line dating.

Hope they find what they are looking and that they be very very careful

brw, it's best topic i've seen in this section for a long time.

honey, u need to break loose! pple who met their partners online r no better or worse than those who met elsewhere. remember the devil himself also goes to church n sometimes he is the pastor himself and all those "church programs" u mentioned aren't safer neither and there are many christian online dating sites folks use to meet their partners. so i really dnt see the reason of all this fuss about online dating undecided

Wicked mum: Slaughters own seven-month-old baby
From MATTHIAS NWOGU, Umuahia
Thursday, March 12, 2009

The serene village of Nchara Oloko, Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State was thrown into confusion recently as a woman slit the throat of her seven-month-old son and dumped him in the house of her lover in protest.

advertisement
The 32-year-old mother, Mrs Amarachi Ajagba has five other children possibly from a previous marriage before giving birth to the one she slaughtered, claiming that she did so to protest her abandonment by her lover to solely take care of the baby.

It was gathered that the lover, Mr Ibeabuchi Ememandu, a commercial motorcyclist had a fling with her, which resulted in pregnancy. He consequently accepted responsibility, but did not cater for the baby.

Amarachi who took care of the baby for seven months allegedly got fed up on the fateful day and felt she could no longer bear the burden alone. She therefore took the fatal decision, slaughtered the baby, took him in her wrapper and dumped the corpse in his lover’s house.

Mr Soji Alabi, Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abia State Command where the incident was first reported said the woman confessed that she carried out the heartless act in the residence of a pastor in one of the pentecostal churches in the area, using his kitchen knife.

His words, “A confessional statement made by the woman indicated that Mr Ememandu refused to take care of her and the baby hence her action.

However, Mr Ememandu denied abandoning the baby and the woman, saying he “never failed to take care of her during and after the birth of the child” and wondered why she should take such an extreme action of terminating the life of the baby who was already seven months old.

Another riddle in the episode is that there were no bloodstains on the boy and the wrapper with which she brought the corpse to the lover’s house, raising suspicion on the whereabouts of the innocent child’s blood.

The lover, who reported the incident to the NSCDC said it was his sister who alerted him to the corpse dumped in his house.

Meanwhile, the NSCDC has transferred the matter on the Abia State Police Command Umuahia for further investigation, even as the Commandant of the Corps, Dauda D. Mungadi frowned at the growing lack of respect for human life in the state.
