He is, what we are saying here is, we need more than the words of mass murderers . What we saw could have been staged, it could be real, we don't know, but this is propaganda coming from BH, it ain't the gospel.
So until we have more info from verified sources, i won't put much into it

LTGEN:
Don Klericuzo tends to be very authentic. This is serious, very serious. For BH having been in the punishing side of the Airforce the last couple of weeks they lost Six+Commanders.
This might be there grim revenge.
Anyway we will find out what the NAF. SF and QRF are made up of.Things just got very grimly interesting:x

#ISIS West Afriqiyah & Nur led #BokoHaram killed several Nigerian AirForce QRF airmen. Some held captive

If i didn't know any better i would say that guy was spreading half baked news. How do you know several troops were killed? When were they killed, how many died? How do people just post something like this with zero verification?
So what happened to the soldier's uniform? I'm not saying this is staged or not, it simply makes zero sense.
Only thing in that pic that matters for now is the Truck. The victim's ? face is blurred, he's not in uniform, so hard to say if that was even a Nigerian soldier or not, that pickup could have been taken a while back, who knows.
I won't put too much into the pic until more info comes out.. Propaganda is a powerful tool.

Exactly, such incursion usually requires a sellout from within.
That's why i find it funny when people blame outsiders and not Africans, it's as if Africans are expected to be retarded and some genius is taking advantage of them. Quite sad.

jakeporeshenko:
Do you ever stop to ask yourself if a country can truly be set up to fail by foreign powers without help from insiders?
Every time we point our fingers at foreigners (EU or US) for putting African countries in this cycle of
Injustice—> civil unrest—>war—>poverty
do we think of our own politician that aided the foreigners?

With all due respect, you sound naive, or should i say brainwashed.
You actually think Turkey spent all that money just so do something for Somalia? oh boy, you can't be that naive. What's the importance of Somalia to turkey? Nothing, what they need on the African continent is a foothold, and Somalia just gave it to them, hell you could say they chose the one country they can easily manipulate to accomplish that mission.
To think all that was built for Somalia? lol, that is funny. Sure Somalia will have some facility access etc, But what Turkey will get is far more than what Somalia will get out of this. Just think about it, what's the purpose? What kind of relationship do they have, what's the span of that relationship? What's the trade value btw both Countries? I'm guessing less than 2 million dollars? Please.
It's all about influence and gaining a foothold, you get crumbs, they get access. Wake up.
Every hen and sheep wants to build a freaking military base on the continent, and some fools are celebrating that, unreal.
Why not ask them to allow Somalia to build same in their country in return, then see them roll their eyes and say hell no.
When these people call your friends, call you important, they are just patronizing you, they are lying. This continent need smart leaders, smh

newafricaken254:
i understand you because you haven't seen a world class military training facility in the sub sahara countries, thats why you are flabbergasted (thinking you have seen something from planet mars)this is what decades of independence has reduced sub sahara countries so called militarizes to look like, squalid training facilities, planes that are left in the open until they rust, recruits forced to train to swim in the rivers(because the military can't build swimming pools e.t.c )pilots who are trained basic flying in foreign countries e.t.c

I was begging the man too back then lol
Even offered to donate money to him vai paypal on a monthly basis since he often complain about spending his own cash on transport, never heard back from him about the offer.
Oh well, the man try, he should do what his conscience allows, right? It's his life, i respect how he do his thing

Henry240:
The whole thing is just completely sad. I and many others like @LTGEN has said had to always beg him behind the scenes anytime he chose to disappear from the blog.

I had to go to great lengths to source for photos for him to post in the blog. I begged him to look at making money from the blog, i mean look at Defence-blog owned by a single individual.

During the heated 2015 election, i told him because of the political atmosphere, it would be impossible to take out political discussions from the blog, but he can control it, reduce it.

It is sad that the blog is now completely gone, he unfortunately let a potential gold mine go to waste.

That's what i said. The most accurate way of putting it is to describe the unit as one of the best in the world.
There is a difference btw one of the best and the best.
Now let's move on lads.

Vikkie14:
Being"The Best" and "One of the Best" are two entirely different things.

Vividly recollect someone said something similar to this on the ARA and all hell was loose on him.
Claiming your country has the Best Police STF the world over is something I find too extreme.
I can't even argue this with you guys because the load of sh1ts I saw on 10 pages back weakens me. Ah! It's something else. grin

Unless someone on here doesn't understand English very well.
Odunayaw is right. When you make a categorical statement, defend it with proof that covers other units the world over, or don't make silly statements to begin with. better yet rephrase your comment and this is all over. That's why we've had so many arguments on here in the past, when people call something the best in Africa etc. Now enjoy your Sunday fellas. grin grin grin

Then I'm guessing you need glasses .
The guy posted 10 pics of the same Casspir one after the other. why? And you said i have counting problems?
And this was after he complained about Henry doing something similar. So what the heck is the point? Do you guys think you are the only ones that come here? Because you aren't , people gotta stop this temper tantrum and act like adults, Jeez.
Then some genius posted repeated pics of a pen. Are you people 5? unreal
I've said my piece . No point responding. Just realize there are sane people here that will also appreciate a sane forum.

How many times we are gonna see same pics (Casspir pic that is ). Just because Henry posted two of same pics doesn't mean you should respond by posting 5 of same. It's childish. And why aren't we using out oil to pay for weapons systems? I think there was a country that did this recently, i don't recall which one.
You get the arms, they get oil. Or was that a dumb idea
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 8:18pm On Aug 29, 2017
Some of you guys run your mouth as if Nigerian officials are retarded.
If they believe it isn't a good deal, they won't be spending money on it. What made you a better military expert than those Nigerian military officials that have been in that line of work for decades? We are talking 600 million, that's nothing compared to what lots of countries are spending.
Arming a country ain't cheap. Enough already.
Anyone here know how this price tag will be paid? Who is financing it? I don't recall reading anything about that. And I'm saying this because of those people screaming about "our money", even if it is, are we paying it all in one go? Would like more info about that.

Chief, what Arab Spring? ha, many times these so called local grievances are started by foreign agents.
the CIA tried this in Cuba less than 5yrs ago, except they get caught.
Ever wondered why the western media was so silent during the Arab spring as the Saudis sent soldiers into Bahrain to end similar movement, while they were busy calling for democracy and freedom for Libyans, I mean, isn't that madness, so Libyans deserve democracy and freedom, but not those in Saudi Arabia or Bahrain.
A whole lot of these things have fingers from the West stiring things up. All they gotta do is get a local connect and use that person to start madness, next thing you know your country is in ashes.

Why should there be a melt down, can't grown ups actually discuss among themselves without fighting?
Your opinion was on point sir, no worries. Right or wrong, if anyone disagrees, respectfully explain why.

ActivateKruger:
Maybe not, I only pointed it out because the phrase "1st prototype" was used.

Note that I take nothing away from the vehicle, I only pointed out the midsection suspension being a concern.... If you may look into the front of the vehicle, the suspension is good. The designers got carried away with the compartments and fitted them too low between the wheels and probably forgot about how long the wheel base is.

Again, they said they they have a provision for 7 more prototypes which is more than excellent.

It's pretty much a role the media should be playing, all those things you said you know, i bet you hear about them mostly from the news, at least i did. But when you have journalists that can't event differentiate an helicopter from a fighter jet, oh well. No lose hope lol
Someone gotta spread that information, and that's the media, mostly

Odunayaw:
You'd remember I asked Nigerians in here to list the medals the military gives. It was for thing like this
Medals? Gallantry Medals? what are their titles ? where is the citations?
Is it the
Nigerian Star(Highest award to both Officers & Men)
or
River Niger Star(2nd Highest for bravery Officers only)
or
River Benue Star( for gallantry, officers only)
or
Nigerian Eagle(2nd Highest for bravery other ranks only)
or
Distinguished Service Medal(gallantry for other ranks)

I can bet a good number of Nigerians know of the US medal of Honor,The Navy cross etc etc Hell I can list 5-10 MoH recipients and their deeds by heart
All am trying to say is the military needs to do more to leave a legacy for us to call our owns
We must celebrate our Heroes while they live
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 4:58pm On Aug 04, 2017
I don't see a date that mentioned when this hero was killed, did you? So how do you know whether or not his family has already being made aware or not? We don't know that.
People simply want to see a hero for what he is or was and praise his gallantry and salute him for his sacrifice, we aren't looking at such pic for fun, personally I was pained when i saw it, i do get your point, but it doesn't have to degenerate into a fist fight. We are all on the same side here, i hope

kabe1:
I don't deny that Sir.
However, before those announcements are made, the families of the dead soldiers are pre-informed and permission to post is given.
I only think it is fair to respect the privacy of the families of these dead soldiers. It is the human thing to do.
Bidexiii, sharing that picture is simply not proper.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 1:44pm On Aug 04, 2017
Media outlets all over the world put photos of soldiers that died in combat in the news to honor them.
What's your idea? That a hero died for his country but we shouldn't know his face or name? Is that how you appreciate their effort and sacrifice?
Now the picture i saw was not of his corpse, but while he was alive, so what's' wrong with that?
Do you have any idea how many pictures of US soldiers media outlets like CNN showed daily during the thick of the Iraq war? If that's okay, why is this wrong?
Instead of pretending these soldiers aren't dead, we need to know they are, that shouldn't be a secret, it allows the general population to appreciate them more and honor them, not less.
kabe1:
Again, that's not the issue here.

I am asked a straight forward question, is it right to post the pictures of a dead Nigerian soldier online?
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 4:50am On Aug 04, 2017
Another bad idea
Aren't the Saudis also doing this, Qatar? i wonder why this stuff is allowed.
I'd ask these countries to allow mine to build a base in theirs in return, let's see what they will say to that. I'm pretty sure it would be a big NO
I hate foreign bases in other countries.
