The last of the FT-7NI two-seater is down now and it is known that this model is not in production anymore. This could mean the end to the F7 era in the NAF. The aqusition of the F7 was an unlucky decision by the NAF, we should have better invested in Trainer Aircraft with modern avionics like Hawk or L-159 and then move on to advanced Figher-Jets. Resulting in a dead-end-failture we might be pushed back to square-one again. At least the A-29 Tucanos are on the horizont for the NAF to provide a solid layer for flight-training and strike missions.

Bros, Abeg let this issue rest now. Dress code is not an issue as far as the police in Nigeria and other clime. There seems to be some level of freedom that is generally allowed.
I saw a video on YouTube where tens of Chicago policemen ina mix of mufti and uniform cornered an armed criminal. Most of them had bullet proof vests on them.
Plainclothes is a usual practice among the detectives I believe.

He said that the meeting was convened to brief the stakeholders on the progress made so far in the overhaul of the SARS, now known as Federal SARS. He said that the FSARS operatives had been ordered to desist from attending to civil or commercial matters henceforth and focus strictly on armed robbery and kidnapping cases only. According to Moshood, the Commissioner of Police in charge of FSARS, Mr. Habiru Gwandu, informed the meeting that a human rights desk had been created in the 36 states of the federation and FCT. He said that the desks would address cases of infractions against members of the public by FSARS personnel across the nation. Gwandu added that the Police had engaged the services of psychologists and counsellors in the ongoing screening of FSARS operatives. On his part, the DCP in charge of the I-G’s X-Squad, Amaechi Elumelu, said in the statement that the screening and mobilisation of FSARS oeratives would not be business as usual again. He said that FSARS operatives would undergo thorough rigorous orientation including human rights training among other screening processes. Elumelu said that the IG would soon unveil the Custody Records Management System. He explained that this system would contain the records of arrests, detentions and welfare details of suspects.

Where is the over sight function of the NAS to review, query and even indict, or are they devoid of capacity and knowledge to appraise the situation. How can people be corrupt knowing that the direct consequence is lives are lost.

Were do we loose most of our combatants in ambushes and attacks on supposed fortified army forward bases.

The USA lost 4 NCO they were 4 S.sargeants and they issue went all the way too the top. Look at the depth of investigation and reprimand over the loss of just 4 soldiers. First issue for the US was the vehicles they were using if they had thier normal oshkosh JLTV. It would have been a different story. Irrespective of the other operational failings.

Look at what happened a few weeks ago in the NE what we are saying. From the positioning of the smoldering vehicles all soft skinned the camp lay out and defences. It's quite obvious what happened.

wow!! But to be honest.... How many of us military enthusiasts are there in our countries?? Not a lot is the answer.

I can guarantee you that vast majority of Nigerians don't have an idea what fighters NAF actually has in inventory.... So in actual fact it's marketing genius!! Now your average Nigerian thinks NAF has a formidable fighter fleet.
