Yea, and I'm sure those 33 dead soldiers were in on the plan, please. If ambushed, lots of soldiers will lose their nerves, the moment there is disarray within that unit, that battle is lot, being alert, always armed and organized is key, you lose that, you lose the battle
abiodunalasa: Bro I strongly believe that that Bosso attack in Niger was a "set up". Like a ruse or a smoke screen just to deliver all those ammo to Boko boys.
You too think about it again, all these ammo you mentioned how did BH captured them, with what weapons did they use in capturing them? How long was the battle ?
I learnt long time ago that things are not always as they appear. I won't say more than this before someone here start calling me "anti French".
Invite them back to do what? After all these years of fighting BH, we haven't learned anything huh? if that isn't sad, then i don't know what to call it. Enough time has lapsed for the military to know all there is to know over the years, they don't need no Eeben barlow, the man could be there for another 100yrs and nothing will change, it's on us, no one else. It's like saying giving aid to another country will make them develop, no it won't, unless the leaders there have a clear plan on action, we don't seem to have one, when it comes to BH
Jelal0007: what will it take PMB to invite eeben Barlow and his guys back to Nigeria? this rubbish is getting out of hand.
No offense chief, why is this here, like honoring a mass murderer? These are terrorists, why even post the fact that ISIS was paying homage to a terrorist? And to refer to shekau as a sheik? lord, these are low life human beings, no need to even spread such picture online, no one needs to know what the dead guy looks like or how he died, or who pays a freaking homage to him, perhaps some things should be left out, these aren't humanitarians. And we should decide what these A-holes are called, not what they wanted to be called. Some pics just don't worth spreading. And whether or not those pics are widely available online is irrelevant, the idea is to not help spread it With all due respect of course, not trying to argue, just felt a tad disgusted seeing the pic, as if he died doing good
bidex111: In #ISIS Wilayat Gharb Afrīqīyyah latest footage, posthumous hommage was paid to #ISIS #Military commandant Abu Fatima al-Lagossi who was matyred in one of the various battle against khawarij factional #BokoHaram sect led by Sheik Abubakar Shekau .
I've largely stayed off these arguments and not take sides, but what you posted here is idiotic. It's like Donald Trump accusing immigrants (illegals) raping american kids, yet we read in the news day in day out, and the ones doing the kid raping are Americans themselves, not to talk of murders and other violence. So here you list Nigerian suspects, so apart from Nigerians living in SA, South Africans citizens are saints? haha, if your own citizens commit similar crime, what's the purposed of pointing out those committed by Nigerians? I mean, all Nigerians know that we have armed robbers among us. What else is new? But if y'all are saints and the Nigerians are the only ones committing crimes in your beautiful country, then apologies, smh
Jkay187: Read this and shut the fcck up you dung beetle. Now see how your fccking kind is fcccking up SA yet you come and talk shiiit
The accused; Pedro Odoeman (45), Obi Kingsley Odoeman (42), Kennedy Duru (42), Clifford Okebaram (39), were arrested in 2009 following a Hawks and Crime Intelligence project driven investigation. They were subsequently granted bail ranging from R50 000 to R150 000 by the Randburg Magistrate’s Court and made a series of court appearances facing charges of racketeering and dealing in drugs, however the group allegedly absconded before the trial between 2011 and May 2018. The Johannesburg High Court has since issued warrants for their arrest. The Hawks urges anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects to contact the Investigating Officer.
You do understand that observers were present when the nigerian economy was evaluated? Inflated? If anything it's still grossly under valued
kikuyu1: No,it's not! Not even in pre recession days. That figure was wildly exaggerated by your voodoo practitioners at the CBM stats office, who BTW should all be in jail for falsified figures. If I'm not wrong that's a crime in your books. IIRC, two years ago PMB was advised not to borrow a mere six bn USD. Why? Because the lenders knew your economy of max 250 bn USD GDP could never repay you that's why!? Dude,we've covered this THOROUGHLY!
Alright, heading to work, you folks have ruined this for everyone, Jeeze. Appreciate what Ethiopia has, praise them for it, and move on, why the Fvk do you guys always compare things? unreal Each nation has its strength and weaknesses . Enough said
Anyone here remember when Nigeria's security personnel lined up unarmed members of bh and shot them all in the back, in broad daylight by the side of the road, while civilians were passing by, this was before bh started its killings, i guess France was behind that too, or their leader yusuf, who was executed while in custoday, with his hands cuffed. And we wonder why we have conflict on our hands, let's blame outsiders, that always work, smh
lol, as long as it's piloted remotely, haha, no way in hell I'm getting into that thing. And yep, it doesn't seem to be capable of flight, I mean, with what? lol That thing looks like metals welded together. Prototype or no prototype, it's an eyesore . It could look a bit better, Jeez. Like something an elementary kid put together, smh
jln115: oh the irony....... Don't have to watch a video to see the contraption resembling some sort of helicopter can't fly
Pic..... Helicopter built out of scrap..... Looks more airworthy than the contraption in your video... Literally!!!
jln115: The only one being deliberate here is you...... I've stated years ago the reason why I use the acronym NDF...... Nobody including yourself had a problem with me using it up and till today.
Some of you guys are funny, this would't be the first helicopter to be built, this has already being done, only an idiot would spend so much resources on something they can get easily elsewhere, no need for some R&, build the facilities and bring in the experts from other countries, use their knowledge in this field to build yours, who the heck is talking about something is gonna take 60yrs? lol, that's funny. 60yrs my rear, bring in the experts, pay them, and let nigerian experts work alongside them, that's how you learn, that shit won't take decades, it's not a new invention, lord, anyone here actually think Nigeria will go it alone? That's idiotic The only challenge i see here, is building the facilities, maintenance and funds, nothing else, everything else can literally be bought by bringing in foreign experts if need be.
The guys that fled, wearing suit, aren't his body guards, they have what appears to be traditional clothing with them, like around their neck or something, like a scarf , they could be party members or whatever, i don't think bodyguards would be holding such. Just my take
Henry240: I was referring to the outer-perimeter guards. Not the primary guys, the soldiers with AK-47s. They fled.
Some of you guys really need to learn to calm down and not take things too seriously, the man was joking, you responded with an insult, are you a 12yr old? smh
ChiefAzubuike1: You be mumu. So Nigeria has the right tech to maintain a nuclear device? Wetin we wan even use launch am? We have simply not gotten to that level yet. Make una infantry continue dey manage their rusty Kalashnikovs for now.
You are saying they get attacked because they were charging a fee to enter the market? Trying to get the point in your comment
bidexiii: The N50.00 gate fee charged on civilians entering MamiMarket at the 33 Army Barracks along Njimtilo Town has bought the Nigerian Army a suicide attack yesterday night (no report of casualty yet) may be it is time that MamiMarket is closed down completely.
BS Its all because of Israel and the dictator wanna be we elected into office, America of today have zero morals or give a darn about human rights, The Govt that is, not the people
BREAKING NEWS! The United States has pulled out of the UN Human Rights Council. The reason? Instead of this council defending human rights, they are the home to the worst violators of Human Rights.
To those writing headlines like this, they really have some work to do Saying BH attacked and kill 9 soldiers is akin to saying Nigeria just got her butt whopped by BHT Part of warfare is psychological, and this is a bad headline to have, so no BHT died? If they did, begin with that, end with the death of soldiers later, not just make it sound like it was a one way thing, headlines like this gives people the impression that the enemy is better
He got pissed due to lack of support from the Govt./ Military, and he complained about how running the blog is costing him some pretty penny. We begged and begged, but beeeg no gree stay oooo lol Funny enough he spend more time preaching on tweeter as compared to the blog, which only requires one or two thread a day, in other words, he could have left the blog running and let people post contents, that is, pics, that way blog stays alive without him doing much. Anyways, he knows best.
PhilipGallagher: Sorry off topic, but what happened to the blog. No more updates
Lol, security all around him? Well, he's a visiting head of state, Morocco is responsible for his security, and why are you surprised Morocco showed him such love? We aren't a tiny country, there was a time Washington DC was littered with the Nigerian flag when Shagari visited ( i think it was Shagari) , with Americans waving Nigerian flag and lined up the street just to see him. Our fall in prestige is our fault, no one else's
MiddleDimension: everything! cant you see SECURITY ALL AROUND HIM?
Didn't like the movie, i know i know. I find it odd how they were running once they got back to their ship to check back on their colleague that was injured earlier, it was like watching a bad Baywatch scene lol, why run? They were supposed to be hardened soldiers, what i saw was a rookie move, and the weird subtitles didn't help, so i turn that thing off, guess I'm gonna give it another shot tomorrow. #Dontkillme
lol, that wasn't too complicated now was it? It's common sense to retreat in such situation. Well said
nemesis8u: Not related to the context being discussed here
I am just talking to myself.....
Soldiers r human , inspite of all the claims of extra ordinary fortitude in media etc , the fact is they r also prone to human instincts, drawn by hope and at the mercy of lady luck
There is this basic human Instinct know as " fight or flight "
Military equivalent of flight would be retreat
Fight or flight instinct is situational and triggered on our own interpretation of the conditions around us.
Let's say if I am leading a group of 6 soldiers and I get ambushed with no hope of immediate back up or rescue I would instinctively react either in line with my military training to face such situations or I will react instinctively based on my assessment of the situation.
Either way the survival of me and my squad will generally depend on
1. My ammo reserves ie how long I can fight it out.
If my ammo load is already low and inadequate against the large no of hostiles before me , I will instinctively retreat and hope to cover it with my available fire power.
2. If faced with large no of hostiles in a remote location, no point in entrenching one selves against superior firepower , then it becomes a matter of time when my ammo runs out and my defences fail against heavy calibre weapons.
So instinctively I will retreat with cover fire
And if the hostiles r mobile then I will definitely run by instinct.
3. If I am in the open then I will run instinctively for the nearest cover or in search for the nearest covet.
Try to buy time with cover fire and locate the next cover and go for it pronto inorder to get away from the hostiles instinctively.
While doing all this the hostiles either on foot or vehicles with heavy weapony will have all the time in the world to kill me and my men from the point of first contact to the point of my retreat to the point of the death of me and my men's.
In after life I will reminiscent "how the odds were stacked against me and my men"
There r situations from where the is no point of return , as the odds r not in my favour and getting caught in the middle of nowhere without immediate backup or immediate fire support among hordes of hostiles is one such situation.
Instincts either horned or reflex will only get me so far as my lady luck wills it to be.
Do we ever? It only becomes an emergency when elected officials and co start running their vehicles into IEDs, then it becomes a problem, until then, they've treated our security personnel as expendable
Xbee007: He died in an IED explosion. Unfortunately we are going to be getting this sort of news as long as we keep fielding those soft-skinned vehicles in the war front. We haven't learn anything.
Yea except if the battle was taking place inside the US, they wouldn't have been stupid enough to not have enough air asset for their troops, unlike ours, why even compare. They invested heavily in their military and operational planning, we used our own investment money to buy mansions overseas. And you are talking? Show me over 700 US soldiers running away from an enemy inside US territory, then you can make such comparison. If there are a handful of soldiers being overwhelmed by the enemy, in a foreign territory without backup coming, you retreat, it's simply common sense, or stand your ground and die, there is a choice. Regardless of country, if outnumbered, you retreat, what Nigeria needs is more air assets
iblawi: There is completely no deference about where the operation is taking place. The soldiers running from boko haram have no heavy artillery nor heavy firepower. All they had was rusty AK-47 with limited bullet and no backup whenever they encounter such attack. Thanks to the formal CDS.
The attack they encountered was even lighter than what Nigerian military faced. Do you know what it means to be in a terrorist stronghold with soft skin vehicles or you watch too many movies?
It's not a movie, it's a television series. So you gotta find what season and episode that was in, not an easy task lol, unless you have time on your hands
tdayof: It's a popular movie called shooter. Ever heard of Bob Lee swagger? The movie is about CIA /FBI / Russian intelligence etc
