I know Fulani ppl too. True Fulanis, not the watered down Fulani you find in Nigeria. They originate from Senegal and speak true Fulani or Puula as they say.

The Fulani spread their religion through jihad. Everyone knows how Uthman dan Fodio started the Fulani jihads in which he conquered Hausaland, tried to conquer the Kanem-Bornu empire but failed, and moved south against the Yoruba. You don't know shyytt about history.

The darker Fulani are not even true Fulani but slaves of them. They spread Islam with the sword. Even the Fulani jihads in other parts of West Africa were fought against fellow Muslims. Fulani Jihads targeted the Malinke, Mandinka and other groups.

Yorubas have been muslims since 1400 and Sokoto Caliphate in Nigeria didnt show up till 1700- 1800s. DUH!
