PoliticsRe: General Obasanjo: More Than Just A "friend "of The Us by sjeezy8: 12:32am On Apr 08, 2010
@post na old news Obj has always been apart of the whole American operation in Africa(since his first term a military ruler), from Liberia to sierre leone Angola, Sudan, anywhere there is conflict it was cleaned up by OBJ.

ask charles taylor

How Obasanjo Duped Me, By Charles Taylor

Taylor told the Special Court for Sierra Leone that Obasanjo had earlier assured him he could leave the country freely. "He lied to the world when he said I was escaping, and he knew nothing about it," Taylor said. "Why he lied? I don't know, but as a brother and a friend, I think he ought to speak and tell the truth about it."

Taylor said he hopes he would live to look Chief Obasanjo in the face one day and ask him to tell the truth about what happened. Charles Taylor also claimed yesterday that there was a plot involving the UK and the US that led to his indictment. He is accused of backing rebels, who committed widespread atrocities throughout the 1990s in Liberia's neighbour Sierra Leone. He was living in exile in Nigeria in 2006 when US pressure to put him on trial for alleged war crimes increased.

Taylor had been given asylum in Nigeria as part of a deal to end Liberia's civil war, though human rights groups accused him of breaking the terms of the deal by continuing to interfere in Liberian politics.

Yesterday was the final day of his testimony in The Hague. Taylor claimed he was a victim of an intelligence plot involving the British and US governments that supplied weapons to the region in an attempt to topple him - as part of a plan by Washington to gain control of West African oil reserves. The US position was that "we cannot have anyone in Liberia that we don't think is going to dance to our tune", he said.
Obasanjo is just an untouchable guy- period people should just let it go, theres no point in even discussing the guy. When he was presido in Naija was on point and all of africa aswell.

MrPrsdent:
another paranoid nationalist.Obviously, you are talking tipper-load of bullshit and you know it.OR maybe not
Im no nationalist- just realistic and Nigeria is far better than MANY african countries. Just because youre miserable doesnt mean everyone else is clown.

tensor777:
You have a point there. But then again Nigeria should not use countries like Ghana and Sierra Leone as a yardstick.
The comparison should be with the likes of India, Brazil and China.
India is not a good country- a country where untouchables are predestined to be the Lower class of society without any changes,
China that has the worst human rights offenses, socialism etc . . .
Brazil that has extrajudicial killings (like naija) and no black person has become presido despite the fact 50-60% of the populace has black heritage.

Ill stick to naija, Every country has issue so Nigerias problems are all over the world.

@ all others- Oil is nothing!, Its the simple fact we dont have electricity to boost industry( for jobs and security), so of course Oil will be the second most important. When militants attack pipelines and lessen Crude Oil flow, then theres no FEUL FOR GENERATORS- to get business flowing. So as of Right now aside from the electricty(we dont have) Crude is the second most important thing in naija.

Naija isnt difficult and the problems are fairly simple but they are scuttled by illiterates and greedy people.

@C1LONDON
Im a yoruba who minds his buisness so I will NEVER do any business past the places that my people are SW, I have no business with anything in the SS or SE - those places are like a disease nothing positive can comeout of doing business there. So when I talk about heavy or light Crude & Gas- Im talking about Ondo Ogun and Lagos.

lol - what are you talking about I dont know any sensible person that can live without Oil products-

isnt that what we put in our cars? or you want to walk everywhere
isnt it what we use for airplanes- or you want to swim to yankee abi? lol
isnt it what we use for generators?
isnt that what we use for the Roads (heavy crude Oil)?

As a christian I hate when people say quote the new testament. If the New testament is what we should go by lets forget the Old testament.

forget the ten commandments
forget the fact that we have to recognise Sunday or saturday
forget that we have to pay tithes

and tell the pastors in church to stop reading from the Old testamant- because we are not suppose to go by that from what youre saying Now.
PoliticsRe: What Would Encourage You To Return To Nigeria? by sjeezy8: 10:42pm On Apr 05, 2010
^^^ yea so maybe we should split Nigeria into 250 countries.
PoliticsRe: Jesus Sent Me ! Calabar Arik Terrorist. (reuters} by sjeezy8: 10:28pm On Apr 05, 2010
The bible says kill alot in it, lets not lie- Im a christian and it doesn take a genius to see that pastors are selective in the passages they read.

The bible if used dangerously can be very harmful to everyone- the reason why people kill gays, and belived witches, and the reason that their are child witches being killed in Akwa ibom.
PoliticsRe: What Would Encourage You To Return To Nigeria? by sjeezy8: 10:24pm On Apr 05, 2010
^^^ my point is a country's successful or unsuccessfulness has nothing to do with Oil.

You seem to think that Oil is Nigerias problem and its not. Nigeria could still be far worse than it is.

Ezeagu - their populations are small of course they would be better. We are talking about naija 150million people soon to be 180 million.
PoliticsRe: The Myth That You Have To Be Corrupt To Get Ahead In Nigeria by sjeezy8: 10:14pm On Apr 05, 2010
you have to be corrupt to get ahead anywhere in the world

Corruption is Every in the world- So its needed.

America and england have the most corrupt people in the world, and all americans & brits benefit off of corruption.
When Oil was $150 a barrel yehhh-  In yankee Oil was sooo scarce it was like naija - no one had money to put gas in their car, the lines were sooooo Long, food prices went up. On the news people were fighting over who was at the  Gas pump first.

Now that Oil prices are down obviously from America invading Iraq and getting priority on Oil contracts, Angolan conflict Oil like naijas own (Corruption), Everyone is happier in America.

So Nigeria needs to play the game of corruption but do it intelligently.
PoliticsRe: What Would Encourage You To Return To Nigeria? by sjeezy8: 9:52pm On Apr 05, 2010
Nigeria isnt that bad - beside the killing and kidnapping but that shiot happens in all developing countries.
Of course you will have alot of poor people and small elite like every country.

Nigeria is far more ahead than anyother african country aside- from SA, and maybe Ghana.
Out of 53 countries in Africa Nigeria is number 2 lol

When I meet people from Ethiopia, Somalia Sierre leone, Liberia, Zimbabwe, Gambia,Even India, China etc (other crazy 3rd world countries) -I tanx God im from Nigeria. those countries no even get Oil and are still 1 million times worse than Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by sjeezy8: 6:33pm On Apr 05, 2010
@ Ezeagu - my fault akwa ibom and river state
The territories of the indigenous Ijaw communities from Andoni (Eastern Obolo) and Ibeno clans in Akwa-Ibom State - thats what ijaws are saying im not ijaw nor from the SS

I never said PH is not igbo, IT PROBABLY IS MAJORITY. I said IJAWS WANT TO SPLIT THOSE CURRENT STATES into 4 homogenous Ijaw states- dont GET angry with me for copying and pasting what the Ijaw political groups want. lol

There are minority ijaws who are indigenous to ondo, edo,Lagos- like wise to other states in the SS.
So like I said the land that everyone "thinks" will be apart of their country may not be . ijaws are asking for their own homogenous states(from akwa ibom and river state) now - so its realistic to say that if Nigeria were to split there will be some problems of course. lol you think ijaws will let rivers and awka ibom (the highest earning Oil states) go easily hahaha-
__________________________________________________________________________

1. The creation of four new homogenous Ijaw States be enacted immediately by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and assented to by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as follows:

(i)          BENI-EBE STATE
with Arogbo as Capital and demarcated into Arogbo, Ukparamo, Adogba, Ajakpata, Adoloseimoh, Awodikuro, Apoi, Gbekebo, Egbema, Ofunama/Opuama, Olodiama, Furupagha and Okomu Local Government Areas.

(ii)        TORU-EBE STATE with Bomadi as Capital and demarcated into Burutu, Ogulagha, Warri North, Warri South, Ayakoromo, Kiagbodo, Ezebiri, Seimbiri, Bomadi, Tuomo, Ndoro, Torugbene, Patani and Kumbokiri Local Government Areas;

(iii)       KENGEMA STATE with Degema as Capital and demarcated into Abisse, Aguda Toru, Akilama Toru, Akuku Toru I, Akuku Toru II, Asari Toru, DELGA, Kalabari Toru I, Kalabari Toru II, Ke, Kula, Obu-Kula, Obilo, Ololo Toru, Owuanga Toru, Old-Kalabari Toru I, Old-Kalabari Toru II, Sombreiro I, Sombreiro II, Sankrama and Tobu Local Government Areas

(iv)      ABAJI STATE with Port Harcourt Township as Capital City and demarcated into Port Harcourt Township, Obolo, Bolo, Ogu, Okrika, Ogoloma, Isaka, Bonny, Kalaibiama, Iniasiri, Opobo, Nkoro, Agbo, Amaiba, Amajaaba, Oka, Okoromita, Okosun, Okuba, Okwaan-Aja, Okwaan-Okuka, Oru and Ujama Local Government Areas

3.         Declaration of Intent: This resolve by the Ijaw Nation for four additional homogeneous Ijaw States and additional local governments for Bayelsa State (Ijaw being a close fourth largest ethnic group in Nigeria) will assure political equity to the Ijaws in Nigeria as the creation of these four more Ijaw States will put us, the Ijaws, at par with the Yorubas in the West who have six (6) States, the Igbos in the East who have  five (5) States and the Hausa-Fulani in the North who have fifteen (15) States. Any further demand by the Hausa-Fulani, Yoruba and/or the Igbo to increase their number of States will automatically entitle the Ijaws to have an equal increase in the number of Ijaw States. We will no longer play a second fiddle to any ethnic group in Nigeria. We are sufficiently economically viable to sustain the number of states requested, even more so than many of the current existing States.

If our Demand is not met, the Ijaw Nation, as the aboriginal people of the Niger Delta, shall move forward to assert their God-given and internationally recognized Right to Self-government, by virtue of Article 1 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, ratified and accented to on the 16th of December 1966 by Resolution 2200A (XXI) of the General Assembly of the United Nations, and by virtue of Articles 1, 2, 3, 6, 21, 26, 27, 28, 30 and 31 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

http://www.ijawfoundation.org/resolution_001_08.htm
______________________________________________________________

Im realistic - so i know ijaws arent getting any new states out the states where they are minorities- without a fight so its time people stop dreaming about a split in Nigeria without any conflicts.  North and south is fairly easy but between the ethnic groups in South will be a bloody one.

C1LONDON LOL

You think africom was made out of nothing? you are even more funnier, Africom was suppose to have about 5,000 troops in Nigeria 2007- yaradua reneged . Africom is there to make Nigeria "secure" from ethnic or religous clashes and also american oil interest from the Chinco and Militants.

I actually laughed because you said "Americans" as if the general opinion of american citizens matters. Barack obama was suppose to withdrawl troops because thats what "americans citizens wanted" HE JUST SENT 30,000 ADDITIONAL TROOPS TO AFGHANISTAN.
PoliticsRe: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by sjeezy8: 11:36pm On Apr 04, 2010
The northerners well the elite want one Nigeria- which means all Northerners
The middle belt- One Nigeria
The West can careless but One Nigeria for the hell of it. grin we are comfortable jare
The ND well some will say One Nigeria Edos, itsekiri maybe urhobos, possibly efiks, ibibio,
The east(mainly igbos) can want Biafra all they want- I say mainly ibos because the ijaws are calling for homogenous ijaw states to be made out of rivers, awka ibom, cross river.-

democratically nothing has really change from the first civil war.

War actually sounds better and is more realistic
PoliticsRe: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by sjeezy8: 11:03pm On Apr 04, 2010
Great but during that dream make sure you include the civil war which will be fought to split nigeria and after the civil war the series of war fought between southerners.

atleast 3-4 republic will come out of the south alone.

PoliticsRe: Pdp On 2011-no Way For Jonathan by sjeezy8: 10:24pm On Apr 04, 2010
Jonathan should run for presidency because if he does that COULD truncate presidencies zoned to the Middle belt, SEers aswell. I dont feel like hearing any bullshiot like - we are marginalized, we want out of Nigeria, or anything like that.

2015 and get the full 8 years for the southsouth.

Honourable Ita Enang is PDP also so if anyone says anyone is holding jonathan back from becoming presido acknowledge that its also people from his own Zone.

As far as im concerned I dont give a f whos from what zone- they can elect the most terrible Easterner, or southsouthern Ibori or even Sylva himself, or  Saraki or Danjuma for middle belt I dont give two f . . .s lets just get this rubbish zoning over with. So Nigeria can move on because its obvious mos Nigerians dont want free and fair eletions just a guy from their Zone or ethnicity.
