Keep tribalism apart. Since I was born, each year is harder than the previous.
If you plan for the worst in Nigeria, you would probably be very successful. In terms of dollar value, inflation, insecurities and bad basic infrastructures. It is sad reality.
A woman provoked this investigation when she announced that someone hoarded sugar for only 8 years and made over 80 million naira profit.

Wigwe: US court asked chopper manufacturer to pay $75m to family of victim of another crash
An American court asked Airbus Helicopter SAS, the manufacturer of the helicopter in which top Nigerian banker Herbert Wigwe was travelling before a fatal crash, to pay the family of a victim of another crash $75 million.
Wigwe was the group CEO of Access Bank, Nigeria’s largest bank by assets.
His wife, son and Abimbola Ogunbanjo, a former chair of Nigerian Exchange Group, were also on board when the copter crashed in Nipton, a community in San Bernardino County in California, United States.
They were travelling in a Eurocopter EC 130 chopper.
“It has been confirmed all six people on board the aircraft are deceased,” San Bernardino Sheriff’s office said in a statement. “The identities of the deceased will be released once positive identification has been made and next of kin notifications have been made.”
Manufactured by Airbus Helicopters SAS (formerly Eurocopter), the single-engine aircraft and its variations have a long history of accidents.
On December 1, a Eurocopter EC 130B4, belonging to the Mexican Federal Electricity Commission, struck power cables during take-off and crashed, killing three people on board.
A February 2018 crash involving another Eurocopter EC 130B4 killed five people, all of them Britons, in the Grand Canyon.
Two brothers, Stuart and Jason Hill, 30 and 32, were among the dead. Stuart Hill’s girlfriend Becky Dobson was also killed in the crash. The three were pronounced dead at the scene.
Husband and wife Jonathan and Ellie Udall were also victims of the deadly crash. They both died of complications from burns days later.
The pilot Scott Booth and Jason Hill’s girlfriend Jennifer Dorricott survived. But both sustained life-altering injuries.
The aircraft burst into flames after crashing. The pilot told American investigators that the helicopter encountered a “violent gust of wind” and started spinning.
NTSB said that tailwinds and turbulence were likely the reasons it lost control.
A lawsuit that arose from that accident ended in a $100 million landmark judgment in January.
Jonathan Udall’s parents sued Papillon Airways Inc., the company that owned the aircraft and the manufacturer Airbus Helicopters SAS.
A Nevada court ruled that Papillon Airways would pay $24.6 million to Udall’s parents and Airbus Helicopter to pay $75 million.
The lawsuit argued that the helicopter was not safe for flight because it did not have a crash-resistant fuel system, which made it burst into flames after crashing.
“The Udall family wants to shine a spotlight on this issue so the industry will take note and voluntarily seek to correct this public health issue. a lawyer for the Udalls told the Associated Press.
“They don’t want anyone else to go through what their son went through in an otherwise survivable accident — not a broken bone. He would have walked away.”
The original post was about the appointment of an acting CEO, but someone has already made a thread for that, so I changed it and post the original publication below. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Redhot111: Our government will always act foolish. Most state governors hoarded food during the COVID-19 period instead of sharing until end SARS protesters got wind of it and invaded the warehouses. No body complain instead the guys were termed criminals for taking their potion of palliative hidden by their governors. But today ordinary business men's warehouses a been sealed by mumu authority for daring to store food for the Future since prices of such will continue to soar
Those were donation from overseas. A eyewitness video showed a large mob carrying bag of race and other food items for for 3+ hours straight. Law Enforcement were also packing/looting palliatives (at the back of their pickup) and it didn't finish for hours.

Governor Abiodun described the incident as a devastating loss for the families, friends, and the entire business community in Nigeria.
The governor described Wigwe as a quintessential banker who contributed immensely to the Nigerian economy, adding that he was a pillar of support to his administration’s ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda.
According to him, Wigwe’s death has created a void that will be difficult to fill.
He condoled with the families of the deceased, the management and staff of Access Holdings, the business communities, and the Rivers State government on the tragic incident.
He said: “I am deeply saddened by the news of the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Herbert Wigwe and five others. My thoughts and prayers are with their families during this difficult time.

Prince Abiodun also condoled the Ogunbanjos on the death of the former chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, (NGX Group), Chief Abimbola Ogunbanjo in the crash.
Chief Abimbola Ogunbanjo was born into the family of the late Chief Chris Ogunbanjo of Erunwon in Ogun State.
Prince Abiodun described the late Ogunbanjo as not just an exceptional businessman but also a man of great character and integrity.
The governor noted that as chairman of NGX Group Plc, the deceased played a vital role in shaping the Nigerian financial market and contributed to its growth and development.
“His dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to excellence have left an indelible mark on the industry.
“In moments like this, words seem inadequate to express the magnitude of our loss. As a state, we extend our deepest condolences to the Ogunbanjo family, friends, and colleagues. We share in your grief and sorrow, and we stand by you during this difficult time,” he added
Why store up food in warehouses outside of the market environment and create artificial scarcity so you can maximize profit at the expense of your fellow citizens?
As long as those warehouses were loaded by Street boys, they can always be located.
Remembered those days of "essential commodities" in the late 80's. Every hoarded commodity discovered was auctioned by the military to the general public at specified prices.
123yes: Time of witch-hunt have started. Was the man the cause of high cost of goods in the market. If all the good were brought out in the market to sale at the same time, what will happen in the subsequent months. Delusional government without sense of direction.
Very soon if someone wear fine cloths, they would beat them up for wearing cloths when others are in rag (then hand them over to bandit for kidnapping tax)...
That is how Buhari evil campaign made all the rich men where I live took all their luxury car to Abuja (not to provoke the talakawas).
yinkus6750: What kind of investigation is that? Chopper already flew 90 minutes before the crash. Ran into unfavourable weather condition. Didn't have any cockpit recorder, so sad.
It happened in broad day light near a highway. Can see the footage of the crash 3 seconds into that video above...
Anyway, it is USA so when the REPORT comes out, it would be facts!

Crashed Helicopter That Killed Wigwe, Others Caught Fire On Impact With Terrain, Full Probe Report Could Take 24 Months –US Agency, NTSB
They were going from Palm Springs Airport to Boulder City, Nevada when the accident occurred.
The United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has revealed that the helicopter in which Herbert Wigwe was travelling caught fire after it crashed.
A board member, Michael Graham, who disclosed this during a media briefing on the ill-fated helicopter crash on Sunday, confirmed that six persons, including two crew members, died in the crash.
SaharaReporters reported on Saturday that the Co-founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe; his wife, Chizoba, son, Chizi and Bimbo Ogunbanjo, a former chairman of the NGX died in the helicopter crash, which occurred on Friday night in the United States.
They were going from Palm Springs Airport to Boulder City, Nevada when the accident occurred.
Briefing reporters, Graham said that the tragic incident occurred about 90 minutes after the charter flight took off, adding that “the helicopter impacted the terrain south of I-15 near Halloran Springs, California,” about 75 miles (120 kilometres) northeast of the city of Barstow.
Although the NTSB board member said that the ongoing investigation would reveal the cause of the crash, he added, “As far as we know…there was fire when the aircraft did contact the terrain."
He explained that witnesses said there “was rain with wintry mix” when the accident occurred.
Graham, however, warned that investigators were still working on determining the exact weather at the time of the crash.
“This is the beginning of a long process. We will not jump to any conclusions,” Graham said.
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) posted on its website, without naming the victims that “a Eurocopter EC 130 helicopter crashed near Nipton, California, around 10 pm local time on Friday, Feb. 9. Six people were on board.”
Graham warned that it could take 12 to 24 months for the full report on the investigation to be ready.
Kano State Seals 10 Warehouses Hoarding Food, Confiscates Essential Goods
They were stacked full of commodity including rice, pasta, sugar, cooking oil and other food items.
The Kano State Public Complaint and Anti Corruption Commission (PCACC) on Sunday confiscated essential goods running to several millions of Naira stocked in ten warehouses at Dawanau international comodity market in Kano metropolis.
The Commission had set up an intelligence mechanism and launched a manhunt on food hoarders who Imposed untold hardship on the citizens.
In a grand operation, the Chairman of the Commission, Barrister Muhyi alongside the personnels of Commission clamped down on warehouses and stores engaged in hoarding of assorted foodstuff across the state.
All the owners of such warehouse were nowhere to be found during the operation but those opened were stacked full of commodity including rice, pasta, sugar, cooking oil and other food items.
The Chairman of the Anti-graft Agency said, some of the owners of the warehouses have been issued notice to report to the anti graft Commission preparatory to facing charges before the court of law for their illegal activities.
“As you can see, the Kano state Public Complaint and Anti Corruption Commission (PCACC) has made true it’s promise that we are going to embark on fight against hoarding of essential commodities in the state.
“We started last Thursday and we have made a significant impact towards stopping the instant rise in the price of essential commodities. It was such that within a week, rice had jumped from N52,000 to N61,000 within a week.
“Alhamdulillah form what we have done so far, we are certain that there is impact. From here we are going to the market to ascertain the situation.
“Firstly, we were able to stop the instant increase in prices of the commodities and secondly we have the belief that if we sustain the tempo we will be able to bring down the prices from where they have gotten to.
“As you can see now we are going round the warehouses and we met a lot of issues which after we go back to the office we are going to digest. “One fundamental problem is each stalk we enter they will be claiming that it is the World Food Program Store. We wonder if the world food program will starve the country while taking the food somewhere else.
“You can see, I was told here today that the price of maize has jumped from N30,000 to N60,000. So you see, a hundred percent increase, this is unacceptable. You can see these stores, there are hundreds of millions of Naira worth of hoarded commodity.
“We are taking over the stores now and we are going to make some certain arrests because these will not be tolerated. This is not a market, this is a warehouse. We have activated our intelligence mechanism and they have come up with reports on where and how they are hoarding it” he explained.
aariwa: everybody will be happy to see the real kidnappers burnt to death but eye witness accounts said the kidnappers were Fulanis and these boys they are torturing doesn’t look Fulani to me
😔 Those guards need to be arrested. It is pure evil to take this type of brutal vengeance on innocent youths.
AllTheWayUp: jihadist terrorists want to cut off internet cables that the entire world is using including Houthis too and Yemen too. If they cut if off,the enitre houthi occupied territory should be nuclear bombed also
By the time the internet is restored, they would be a new world order. With a lot of people/territory missing.
aariwa: I would be glad if they were the real kidnappers. They real kidnappers that killed the oba was Fulanis but these boys they are torturing are not Fulanis
May be they are accused of kidnapping school children. Asked for 100m, the community could only raise 450k... they then beat it down to 15m.
It would be tragic if these guys are innocent/scapegoat.

aariwa: Lol in Nigeria of today if you Dey born plenty children especially males make sure you have money to train them because poverty is now becoming like a felony in Nigeria. These boys are probably children of poor parents who due to extreme poverty and lack of jobs might gather during idle times to smoke weed and anytime kassala burst in that community some people go rush those poor people to use them as a scape goat because they know they can’t defend themselves or anybody to defend them
I wish people would listen to this advice.
At least the kidnappers now know it would not be tolerated in that community. There is no kidnapper that would see this video and wouldn't be worried, they left a lot of things to the imagination.
